Acerca de este anuncio

Bottle building is sort of an indigenous practice in Death Valley, but there are none that you can actually stay a comfortable night in. The artists at Villa Anita are offering that opportunity.

Villa Anita DV is a living history museum highlighting contemporary takes on traditional Mojave art dwellings. To be here is an experience in the intersection between art, nature, and life.

We offer dinners for $35 a person, and breakfast for $25. Instagram: @villaanitadv

El lugar

The Bottle Cottage is almost completely built from recycled material. It is an art piece that to us represents the accumulation and subsequent transformation of refuse into beauty. It's an alchemical process that will immediately put you in tune with your own internal processes.

What you're experiencing is eco-extravagance. Staying here is a celebration of returning to nature, but with our inner hominid's instinctual organization and collecting intact.

The space was built with no plans. We have an architect who keeps our master blueprint. He comes in during production of our spaces to draw them as seen and to offer structural advice where needed. All electrical is overseen by a licensed electrician.

Disponible para huéspedes

Villa Anita is a sprawling labyrinth of art that we'd like you to explore. Photos are encouraged, and you can tag us on Instagram: @villaanitadv or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN): /villaanitadv.

Wow. wow. wow. Villa Anita was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. First off, the hosts were incredibly gracious, welcoming, and an absolute pleasure to connect with. David gave us great local recommendations including a hike to a waterfall, hot springs, a date farm and more!! The art and energy of the place is PURE MAGIC. HIGHLY recommend Villa Anita and we can't wait to come back again!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!

So fun! Everyone in the home was so sweet and welcoming. The food was delicious and the conversation was exciting. It was such a unique experience and I definitely recommend everyone to check it out. The cost of drinks were not disclosed clearly when offered, even though I wish they had done that I would still indulge in a glass of wine or beer. Thank for the experience Villa Anita!

My adult daughter and I were delighted to be greeted at the front door, offered wine and hors d'oeuvres and given a tour of this unique, eclectic, living paradise sprung up from the desert. There is lush greenery, endless exploration in the art of living, engaging discussion and hearty, home cooked meals on the table. We came away inspired at what is possible with vision, dedication and an open mind. Fabulous experience mainly because of the warmth and openness of our hosts, with whom we shared food, stories and pralines straight from New Orleans. Best cappuccinos in and around Death Valley. Thanks Carlo, Aaron, Rye and Jack. Muwah!!!

Great place! Unusual accommodations that you will find no where else. Carlo and Aaron create very tasty meals and the communal dining is a welcome change of pace especially when traveling. Where can you find that anymore?

Villa Anita is more than your typical Air BnB. Just seeing the villa is enough to warrant a visit. The property at large is a work of art; of spontaneous creativity. Meandering, decorated pathways course the villa in all directions. A wanderer may spend days here and never experience the space in the same way twice. Villa Anita is a marvel. Villa Anita is an oasis of spirit and compassion in a vast landscape of terrible beauty. However, the villa is only the beginning. The creators/curators, Carlo and Aaron, are by far the most caring, attentive, and interesting hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Anywhere. Ever. The food is consistently delicious and unique. Whether you are having breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the dining experience is akin to being part of a large, loving family. The energy and passion of these two cannot be overstated. The Bottle Cottage is very comfortable as well. It is private while maintaining proximity to the core of Villa Anita. The Cottage is air conditioned, the bed is heated, and the sunlight through the bottles in the morning is near divine. Do yourself a favor and book a few nights here. Stay for dinner. Explore the property. Experience Aaron’s provocative body of work. Villa Anita is a stunning, libertine encounter.

A most unique place! We stayed 3 nights at the Villa Anita and had a great time exploring the property, the rooms, and the art, and conversing with the hospitable and colorful characters that inhabit this amazing, living sculpture. We arrived during a sandstorm and power outage and what could have been a nightmare, turned out to be a candlelit party in the dark with fabulous food, drinks and laughter. On the second night, we shared an amazing spread of food with other guests and (URL HIDDEN) is such a unique experience to sit at a table with strangers, learn about each other, and leave as friends. Villa Anita is also home to 6 dogs that are treated as (URL HIDDEN) if you don't love dogs, this may not be the right place for you. This location is a perfect jumping off spot to visit Death Valley, China Date Farm and local hot springs. If you're open to new and different experiences, you must stay at Villa Anita.
