We booked Claude's room spontaneously when we needed additional space during a vacation with extended family, and my husband, our two-year old and I stayed there for several nights. The room is situated on the upper floor of a lovely villa situated a few metres down the road from the village square of Evangelistria/Asfendiou. The room is lovingly furnished with bric-a-brac and antiques. It has a spacious, comfortable bathroom and access to two terraces with lovely views. Besides the charming atmosphere, the house indeed has absolutely fantastic views, with both terraces looking over the island towards the sunset. There is a fridge and even a very small cooking/kitchen facility in the hallway. The room worked for us as a couple with toddler - Claude gave us an extra mattress and our daughter loved a miniature chair which happened to be in the room. I imagine that it would work even better for a couple (or, with the second bedroom on the upper floor in use, for two friends). The location, a short drive up the mountain just outside of a village, is ideal for people who are interested in traveling around Kos island and especially the villages around Asfendiou, whereas anyone who wants to be in the center of things or at the beach would probably be better off with a room by the seaside.
