My place is 80m2, located in a beautiful late Biedermeier house, furnished with taste. It is 10 minutes from the center, well connected to public transport, next to U6/Währingerstrasse-Volksoper. There is a lovely market just around the corner - Kutschkermarkt - with many cafes and eat outs. Find an original Vienna coffeehouse at the corner of Staudgasse and Canongasse - just a block away from my house! My place has 3 beds: 120cm (King single), a single bed plus a sleeping sofa.

El lugar

You will find a freshly made bed waiting for you. Will you need the extra single bed next to the 120cm bed? Please let me know a.s.a.p.. And in case you need anything you find more blankets, pillows in the cabinet in the entrance/ breakfast room and lots of additional bed linen and towels in the Kommode / dresser in the living room. There are towels prepared for you already in the cup-board in the bathroom.

To access the internet, turn the modem on (if it's not yet connected). Password is MUCBCYCI
In case you don't know which is my WIFI, please turn the machine on and off to see which one is disappearing. Clear?

Before you enter the garden, you'll find the garbage containers. There is one for 'normal' garbage, and one for paper and cardboard. I collect my paper in a paper bag or a cardboard box. I also collect glass bottles and pickle glass. The containers for glass is on the corner of Hans-Sachsgasse and Schopenhauerstraße, or Schulgasse/Kutschkergasse. Please bring your bottles there or leave them in a plastic bag to take out.

There is also a container for plastic bottles and all kind of wrapping, which is also standing where the glass containers are.

I cannot begin to describe how positive this experience was for me. Daniela was a responsive host despite her own busy schedule, the house was even more charming that it appears in the photos, the place was spacious (I even had my husband and son in the apartment for few days over the course of 2 weeks and it was very adequate for that), and the host was extremely accommodating. I spent 2 months in this apartment, which was still too short! I was a visiting professor at U. Vienna's Althanstrasse campus, so the access to work was extremely convenient. I also want to the take the opportunity to describe the neighborhood where this apartment is located. Since this is a little outside the heart of the city, tourists may be deterred by the location, but don't be. Access to the city is easy. It is walkable, and you have your option of metros and trolleys. It is also easy to access the edge of the Vienna woods from this location (there is a bus close by and I recommend taking it all the way to the end - there are some lovely wineries and hiking opportunities). But the local environment is perhaps what is most wonderful about this apartment. There are some amazing restaurants very close to the apartment (several that are open on Sunday), a number of gelato places, all of the various grocery stores (including a turkish grocery store), a seafood place, a butcher etc etc. The saturday farmer's market (only until 1 PM) is truly a gem. This was a highlight for me. It is an old and very close community - I witnessed this first hand when I went to get my evening gelato and found the shop closed as the owner had passed away suddenly. There were flowers, candles and cards placed all around the entrance to the store. Vienna is an extremely clean city, with very little out of place, but these piles of flowers and candles remained untouched. I like to run and the parks offer you a variety of distance choices from a few miles to several miles - if you like to run I recommend making the run up to Potzleinsdorfer Schlosspark. Also, the parks are extremely safe and well lit (as is the rest of Vienna!). There are also a number of smaller parks with kid-related equipment - this is an extremely kid friendly neighborhood. However, the residents are relatively diverse, both in age, and also in nationality. I loved my time in this apartment!

This beautiful apartment was perfect for our long stay in Vienna. Daniela was wonderful with her communication. The amenities were exactly as you would expect, and the location was in a nice, quiet neighborhood very close to public transportation. Throughout our time in Vienna, this apartment came to be home. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who would like to stay in Vienna like a local!

Corresponding with Daniela leading up to my arrival was an absolute delight--she gave clear instructions on navigating Vienna's public transportation and thoughtful pointers on exploring her neighborhood. Gloria, her sister, lives across the hall and helped me settle in with a gracious welcome. The neighborhood is a 7-minute tram ride to the city center (no tourist traffic or noise), and the closest tram stop is a stone's throw from the apartment. I'd walk out in the morning and within minutes arrive at a public garden or museum. The apartment itself is stunning: a nice, wide writing desk; a lovely garden view; large well-lit rooms. Perfect. The only downside to having such a wonderful apartment is that you might not want to leave to explore the city! (But you will, don't worry.) Apartments this conveniently located and beautiful are rare. I cannot recommend Daniela's apartment enough! Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay.

The communication with Daniela was easy and the apartment was nice, even if bit far from the center, but with metro station 10min distant by foot. Nice and calm neighborhood.
