The apartment is situated pretty much as close as you can get to all the historic Old Town sites and visitor attractions in Edinburgh with FREE on street parking. Most of central Edinburgh is unfortunately (expensive!) metered parking zones.

The apartment comprises an attractive, bright, open plan living room / dining area which benefits from double glazing. It's a lovely open and comfortable living area with plenty of room to kick back and relax after a hard day out seeing the sights or attending a work event. The living room has a large sofa bed which pulls out very easily to form a good sized (6Ft 7') double bed.

The modern kitchen is well provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchenware, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven and gas hob, microwave as well as heat, carbon monoxide & smoke detectors. In the vicinity there are a number of smaller shops as well as (5mins walk) the substantial Meadowbank shopping centre that includes a Sainsburys, TK Maxx and other high end outlets. However, for those that prefer to dine out, cosmopolitan Edinburgh is renowned for its large selection of restaurants, with a variety of restaurants / pubs close by.

There is a spacious bedroom with a European King sized bed (6Ft 6' by 5Ft 2'), double wardrobe for storage and table & chairs to quietly relax in (the large window is double glazed). The shower room, with wash hand basin, has been recently modernised to a high standard. Off the hallway there is a toilet with a wash hand basin.

A pleasant 5 minute walk through Holyrood Park takes you to the buses at the foot of the Royal Mile (which is also an Airport Link bus stop) or alternatively to London Road, a major access road, whose numerous bus routes provide access to the main tourist and shopping destinations.

Whenever possible, guests will be welcomed personally at the property for the handover of keys (When you arrive, press buzzer "PF1" on the intercom). As you would expect, crisp fresh linen, bath and hand towels are provided for guests and a travel cot and a highchair are available (FREE of charge) to guests upon request (you will need to bring your own linen for the cot). Eleanor's place was perfect for our 3-day stay in Edinburgh. We were within walking distance of Edinburgh Castle, Hollyrood House, and Arthur's Seat, and many restaurants and shops, yet it was very quiet in the flat. We had everything we needed and enjoyed Eleanor's sense of style.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eleanor's flat. The entire process was very transparent and easy, and Eleanor's organizational and communication skills are paramount! The flat was very clean and quiet, and we very much enjoyed the kitchen and the snacks she left for afternoon tea, which hit the spot after our travel day. The location was perfect for our family, and we loved easy/quick access to Holyrood Park. Eleanor's eye for decor also added something special to our stay -- it's the little things!

Lovely apartment. Excellent location. Exceptional host. We could not have been happier with our stay in Edinburgh. Eleanor provided everything we needed to be successful in our stay. Her book of information was amazing! Every day we walked in the park next door. What a treat to spend a few days in such a beautiful city and in such a lovely apartment.

This was the last leg of our journey so we dropped our car off and walked everywhere. Having the whole apartment to ourselves was very nice. I was fascinated by all of the radiators and the rack over one and now I want this in my home! We ended up getting there a bit early but Eleanor was close enough to meet us. We stayed two nights. We were out walking so much that we didn't get to fully appreciate the living room. This location feels like it might as well be on the Royal Mile! Thankfully you can cut across the lawn to get back from Arthur's Seat because we took a long way up and needed a nap after coming back down.

My fiance and I had a WONDERFUL stay at Eleanor's apartment. The apartment itself is lovely, impeccably decorated, and spacious for two people. Extra details like lush towels; a king-sized bed; and bread, jams, and a bottle prosecco for breakfast added some luxurious touches. Eleanor was very nice, easy to communicate with, and left well-organized information in the apartment. The apartment is steps from Holyrood Park and an amazing hike to Arthur's Seat, and is within easy walking distance of all of the tourist attractions and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Eleanor's flat. Eleanor was quite friendly and she left food items such as cookies, bread and milk. She also provided great tips during our holiday. The flat was cozy and had all the amenities. The location was also quite central. We also enjoyed walking at the park just near the flat. Quite scenic!
