Stay in an historic stable block within the grounds of an organic family owned estate and immerse yourself in the Hampshire countryside just ten minutes from Stonehenge. A stunning and private farmstay with spectacular views, numerous activities, friendly hosts and delicious breakfast!
We have two double rooms and one twin room available within our home. The double room pictured can be annexed off along with the bathroom and twin room for more privacy for couples or families.
Kingsettle Stud is a Grade II listed Victorian Stable block, and has remained more or less 'as is' since it was built for the Estate. We are in a totally secluded and tranquil location within the farm. The courtyard is south facing, so you can enjoy an evening wine basking in the sun as the twelve resident peacocks roost in the trees around you. The house is cool in summer and cosy in winter with fireplaces in every room.
There are two double rooms to choose from and also a twin room. The room pictured can be annexed off with the bathroom (also pictured) for more privacy if desired. The bed is a King size, with clean linen and towels provided. The bathroom has a huge bath (with shower attachment if needed).
To clarify: these are guest rooms within our home; you will not have the house to yourselves but will be sharing with us. For more privacy we have a separate annexe called 'The Coach House' that sleeps three that is also listed on AirBnB.
Disponible para huéspedes
You are free to enjoy the house and grounds at your will. Washing machine and dryer available. Ample private parking. There is a tennis court if keen!
We encourage guests to get out and enjoy our local pubs and restaurants for dinner in the evenings. There are lots of options to suit all budgets. For guests that are staying longer, we are happy for you to use the kitchen, but please arrange this with us upon arrival so that we don't all try to cook our meals at once!
All guests are welcome to go out and picnic on the farm or use the barbecue. You will have to buy coals if you wish to use it or ask us where to find wood.
Atención a los huéspedes
We are always around and about and are a relaxed, welcoming couple. If you are travelling alone, then we will be sure to get you involved! Join us at the pub or at polo on summer weekends. We are happy to point you in the direction of local attractions. We can pick you up from the train station by prior arrangement.
Otros aspectos destacables
We are a farmer and a vet, so expect (well behaved) dogs and wellies! Although in a secluded location, nature is all around us and we are a working farm. The chickens and peacocks can be particularly vocal at certain times of year - we don't notice them, but if you are planning on a lie-in and are a light sleeper then perhaps bring ear plugs.
We will be around and about the house working during the day time. We leave breakfast out in the morning for you to cook and enjoy yourselves in your own time. Bacon and milk are in the fridge. Eggs are by the oven. The milk is fresh/unpasteurised from our farm so if you are pregnant or do not want to drink unpasteurised milk then please bring your own.
You are staying in our home so please keep communal areas clean and tidy. Smokers please smoke outside.
We both work full-time, so please let us know your arrival time in advance so that we can ensure that someone can meet you. Please no arrivals after 10pm!
Check-out is strictly by 11am. We ask that you respect our privacy and be packed up and out by 11am latest so that we can get our own jobs done around our home and that we can get the beds stripped and changed in time for the next guests.
We look forward to meeting you!
