The wood cabin is very cosy thanks to the wood burning oven and actually much more spacious than the pictures suggested.

We stayed for 3 nights as part of our anniversary celebrations and had the most wonderful time. Ella was a lovely welcoming and warm host. We were greeted, told the important details and left to enjoy a few days in the most beautiful spot. The cabin is delightful, with everything you need. There is a compost toilet next door, a little kitchen with stove and utensils attached to a one room cabin that is cosy, has a wood burner and big windows that open onto a veranda overlooking the fields. The craftsmanship of the cabin is beautiful and we loved looking at the way in which it was constructed. The location is peaceful and so close to the use reservoir with excellent walks all around. Just go for a drive across the Brecon Beacons and you will see wild horses, red kites, sheep and at night around the cabin bats! It's a dark skies area to so the stars are super clear and mind lovingly beautiful. Would recommend to anyone seeking a little retreat! We had the best time

The cabin was a lovely place to stay for 2 nights. We cooked a few modest meals and set the fireplace up in the evening which was really lovely. Our dog enjoyed it too, and we spent some time exploring the Brecon Beacons, thanks to some walking guides provided by Ella.

What a wonderful wood cabin! The location is stunning and you really feel in the middle of the welsh countryside. The cabin is comfortable and cosy (and bigger than it looks in the photos) and has everything you could need. Ella recommended a fantastic farm shop nearby where we picked out delicious food supplies which is also highly recommended!

A proper retreat from it all, and a genuine back to nature experience. For those who still want the added luxuries of a shower, flushing toilet, or bath... Ella and Mark can make these accessible. I felt poorly on one of the evenings, and Ella's home brewed tea made from plants picked straight from her garden fixed me. The cabin is a small magical, earthy space perfect for self-care, quiet time, meditation, romance or restorative sleep. If you want a bit more than just a place to sleep, and like your accommodations to have some unusual spirit and character in them... and don't mind a good old drive to reach any amenities... this is perfect.

Stayed one night to retreat to the woods. Not disappointed. Lit the fire on arrival and cooked a meal. Soon very cosy. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful cottage made by a really good woodcraftsman. If you want to be in the forest but still want to have some luxury this is the perfect place. The cottage has a nice warm bed, a good heater that can turn the place in to a sauna (if you want). There is a nice little kitchen with one gas stove, a little refrigerator and a non electrical coffee maker, and drinkable water (i believe spring water). There are power points were you can charge your phone and other electronics. The first day we were greeted by a lovely cat which was a great warm welcome (really nice cat, so if you are allergic you just nudge it away and of it goes). There is a compost loo attached to the cottage, were you can do your business. The compost loo does have some instruction like to put the paper in a bin or burn it, and putting sawdust over your number 2's. Its comfortable and clean though. There is a nice little heightened terras attached to the cottage were you can sit and watch the stars (if the weather is non cloudy). If you want to use a shower you can visit the shower in the owners home (you have private access to this) Ella the owner of the place gave us a super warm welcome and is very helpful and lovely. She gave us some good walking tips aswel. We were very sad that we had to leave and if we could have stayed longer we would have. 10/10 would stay here again!
