The appartment was once part of an inn which belonged to the royal housekeeper of the Madrid Royal Palace. It was built around 1750 to host Carlos III´s court when he moved to San Lorenzo de El Escorial. It was designed by Royal Architect Juan Esteban, and it is considered the finest example of his civil work due to the outline of the building and its inner distribution.
It´s been renovated and modernized in 2014 but keeping all its ancient charm.
