Well, I suppose that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but still this comment made me smile - actually there is not one single antique piece of furniture in the entire apartment. There are , to take it room by room, a modern Chinese wardrobe bought in Peking in 1989; a prizewinning desk from a competition held in 2005; hand made sofas and beds, Thonet chairs , (imitations, not exactly antique);an original Le Corbusier chaise longue (is Le Corbusier antique already ? Heavens!!!!! he would hate to read that...), an IKEA dining table, a Miele kitchen and a late twentieth century collection of hand made French (Website hidden by Airbnb) one does have to ask oneself how accurate the rest of this description is.
The apartment is exposed due east, so if you open the shutters it is very light until about 2pm. If you shut the shutters then it is of course pitch black, but as this guest remarks, you only do that when you go out
Regarding the cleaning ,this assessment has of course been passed on to the administration
