We loved our stay! The restaurant is delish and the swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and SUP was so much fun. The location is secluded and beautiful. The bay is shallow so long swims at sunrise and sunset are spectacular. The room is simple and comfortable and the beach is literally steps away. No wifi in the rooms or TV which was perfect for us because there was less distraction and more opportunity to enjoy the surroundings. Be careful of the little black ants they bite and love margaritas.

My wife and I had a fantastic seven night vacation last week in an upper level loft unit at Casa Cenote. We enjoyed the quiet, beautiful area of Tankuh Bay which was a convenient location for day trips to cenotes, beaches and Mayan ruins. Casa Cenote has a wonderful outdoor restaurant with friendly and attentive staff that is open to the public and serves three meals a day, breakfast is included which was great! The snorkel/dive shop on the premises also had a friendly and accommodating staff. The cenote across the street and restaurant are very busy during the day, but we basically had the place to ourselves in the evenings. There are also a couple of other restaurants that you can walk to for an evening meal if you do not wish to drive to Tulum at night. All in all a lovely stay.

We decided to stay at Casa Cenote after looking at hotels and rooms for days and days .. from Cancun to Playa to Cozumel to Akumel..etc. Casa Cenote is not in the central hotel zone of Tulum, it is a little north of the main town, in a secluded, security controlled area near Casa Manatee. It sits on a nice private beach, that is protected by the reef and forms a calm bay. The Cenote dumps fresh water into the sea right in front of the property, so it is great for large populations of fish and swimming and snorkeling. The onsite dive shop provided mask and fins and kayaks .. and very attentive service to teach my fiancé how to dive for the first time! And the Cenote was incredible for a dive experience... as a long time diver, this was in my top 10 dives all time! A quick boat ride offshore and we had an amazing 45 minute dive in coral canyons and tunnels with a huge green turtle (huge!!!)!! There was daily fresh towels and cleaning, but the bathroom could have been cleaned better. The restaurant was great and free breakfast was delicious and added value! This room was unit 1 and on the opposite side of property from the restaurant, so nice a secluded with cute coconut palms shading our private patio steps from the water (like 10 steps)! We loved the privacy, but it was short-lived because the property next door just received permitting and began construction the day after we arrived! Teysha and Gary offered another unit, but we grew attached to our little unit, so we adjusted our plans to be away for sightseeing to Muyil, Coba, or Sian Kaan during the day. It worked out. If you go, two friendly dogs will brighten your stay: Ruby.. always present companion to Gary the owner.. she will gladly befriend you for a tidbit of food, and Ziggy.. the protector of the parking lot at night...he is kinder than his bark suggests. Overall, we can't wait to come back! Our stay at Casa Cenote made this vacation wonderful!! Thank you Teysha and Gary!

Casa Cenote is a truly lovely location -- a good option for folks who want to be a little off the beaten path but still have nice amenities. Rooms are simple but comfortable and right on the beach. Other people come and go, particularly for the cenote and the bar/restaurant, but it never feels like a crowd. Loved our stay.

Beautiful location!! Awesome restaurant under a huge palapa. Very peaceful, gorgeous view of the ocean which is steps away along with a cenote across from the hotel. What more can you ask for?

It's remote and tranquil with no lame tourism. If you want to enjoy the sea without 1,000 other people, sit on your deck and watch the waves, snorkel, swim in a cenote, and relax this place is perfect for you. It's 10 minutes north of Tulum and Tulum is WAY more fun (in my opinion) than Cancun. We'll be back!
