Our place has 4 bedrooms featuring 3 queen sized beds, & 2 single beds in lower level. There is also a pull out sofa and a daybed located in the lower level. There are 3 full baths; one on each level. There is a hottub on the deck and a pool table on site. There are games for the kids and TVS in every bedroom and living area.

Miles from Storyland! Championship golf, hiking, kayaking, and fine restaurants everywhere.

We are located on Attitash mountain 8 miles north of North Conway and 22 miles south of The Mount Washington Hotel & Bretton Woods Resort. Storyland is 3 miles from our home. Home is fully equipped. Linens &
Towels included.

***We require a $200.00 cleaning fee.

Also we require an active drivers license and a credit card on file to insure against damage or theft from the home. It's also to ensure you are who you say you are. The house will be checked after each visit by our cleaning company.

This is a MANDATORY requirement.

If you are uncomfortable providing a credit card please understand we are requiring it just like you would have to provide at a hotel. It's necessary to protect our home & incidentals.

Also, so you are aware, when guests verbally commit, I will reserve those dates for you and your group. Until the check arrives, however, the rental will only be secured until another guest requests those same dates or a portion of the dates you request. At that time I will call you to secure payment via credit card to secure your rental. Once your check arrives your reservation will be confirmed.

Directions to follow 48 hours before your stay. The access code to the home is given the day of arrival.

I'm available at all times to answer questions and help with the rental. A representative will meet you during your stay. That person will assist with anything you may need during your vacation stay. ***Please note you will be met at the property the day you are given the key. At that time you must provide a valid drivers license and provide a valid US credit card for security. We insist on ensuring you are who you say you are and that you are responsible for any damages to the home during your stay above and beyond the insurance protection limits. Please understand we have had destructive guests stay and need to insure you are liable for you & your guests care of our property.

*CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds within 15 days of your stay. 50% refund policy otherwise. After booking I will call you to discuss the rental. Once you rent and arrive at the property you will be met by my representative who will check you in; show you around, and give you the keys. At that time you will provide my representative with your drivers license and a major credit card. He will take a picture of those items and send those to me. This is the exact same procedure you would follow at any hotel. It is a mandatory security requirement.

Where to begin... After taking a look at some of the other reviews, I knew it was going to be a little risky to reserve Ernie’s place. We took the gamble and lost. We paid Ernie in full a couple months in advance of our stay. On the morning that we were going to be checking in to the place in Bartlett, NH, I let Ernie know that we would arrive around 2:30 in the afternoon. Ernie responded with the following exact quote “See you then”. We took this to mean that he was going to meet us there at that time. However, after our three hour drive with a 4 year old and a 5 year old in the car, nobody was there to let us in and we did not have cell phone reception to call. As a result, we walked around the house to see if any doors were open so we could get in and our kids could use the bathroom. We found the back door unlocked, so we let ourselves in. Throughout the rest of the day we were surprised that nobody came to the house, but weren’t all that concerned because we were able to get in and out. It wasn’t until the second day that we finally received a bunch of emails and texts from Ernie (some of them were actually send the day before). Ernie also called and when I picked up, he did not indicate that he was sorry for the confusion or that he was glad that we were able to get in and glad that everything worked out. Instead, Ernie spent about 15 minutes lecturing me about going in through the back door. It was probably the most surreal conversation I have ever had. Ernie was yelling at me and indicated that his wife was beside herself and that he didn’t understand why we hadn’t called. When I attempted to explain about not getting his messages, he didn’t seem to believe me, which is extremely bizarre because I can’t even imagine what reason I would have to avoid getting in touch with him. Ernie even indicated that after he didn’t hear from us, he was considering staying at the house for the weekend with his wife. This is also strange because we had already paid (overpaid really) for the two nights. At the end of the call, Ernie gave me the code to get in the front of the house and then hung up on me. Throughout the entire conversation it felt as though he was trying to win an argument that shouldn’t have even taken place. I have used (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and Airbnb numerous times in the past and have never had any experiences even remotely close to this. Not only was Ernie extremely disrespectful, he completely lacks any emotional intelligence as well. During my conversation with him, I even asked whether or not Ernie cared about his reviews. I noticed you never said anything negative about the house or the rental itself. Im sure that's because you enjoyed your stay and I'm pleased with that. After reading your review certainly you would have something negative to say had you not. Instead, you went into a diatribe about our conversation about how you actually gained entrance to my home. So here's my response to you.... First of all you are not Dimple, the person I had all previous communication with. You're her husband who I never spoke with before. Second of all, the directions explicitly stated to contact me when you got into Conway so I could meet you at the property. You did not do that. So it was impossible for me to meet you until I knew you were within 30 minutes of arriving at the home. Your wife's initial email said she would arrive at 1:00. Then the next one said 2:30. As it turned out you didn't get there until nearly 3:00. So clearly even you didn't know when you would arrive.....thus the reason for the call when you were within 30 mins. I totally understand people get caught in traffic...late starts, etc. especially on a holiday weekend, like was the case during your stay. Thirdly, did you not think it was odd that somebody didn't meet you at the property??? Why wouldn't you pick up the phone and call me??? Instead of calling you chose to walk around the house, find an unlocked door that should've been locked, and let yourself in??? Who does that? That's tantamount to breaking into someone's home!! The bottom line is you should've called and I would have met you myself or had my representative meet you like i do with ALL of my guests. The directions stated all of this in the reservation, which you admittedly had two months to review. Finally, my calls and texts and emails to your wife on the arrival day were all unanswered until the next day. I honestly thought you weren't coming. You wouldn't be the first to pay and not show up. Things happen. I have nothing more to add to this conversation except the fact that I was completely appalled that you let yourself in without calling. As I told you when we spoke my wife and I were completely taken back, and still are, that anyone would let themselves into a home without a key. As I stated in my previous review based on the way the home was left you would be welcome again. Based on your review today, and after twisting the facts, you are not welcome back. Beware to the next host. This guy doesn't need a key to enter your home!!!

Very nice and big house! I went there with 5 friends and we had really good time! We appreciated that the house is very well equiped especially the kitchen! The hottub is awesome too! We would definitely come back!

Didn't even get to stay at the place. Host cancelled reservation two hours prior to us arriving because we didn't want to send a picture of both sides of our credit card to him via text. Which happens to be against the policy of Airbnb.

I have a response to Tim's comment: When you reserved over a month ago and you saw my policy which is clearly spelled out on my listing why did you book with me when you knew what my policy was all along? I only cancelled because you didn't follow the check-in procedures as outlined in my listing. You were given notice up front. This cancellation has nothing to do with me. The cancellation is 100% your fault because you didn't follow the rules.

Spacious and very clean. Everything you will need in a place to stay. Owner was very responsive and contacted me halfway through my stay to make sure everything was up to my expectations

Ernie's home is an exceptional place to stay if you are looking for a white mountain getaway. The spacious kitchen and bedrooms provide more than enough room for guests while the hot tub was the perfect remedy for a day on the slopes. I highly recommend booking your stay with Ernie. He was a great host, always quick to respond, and had solid tips for the area. Would rent again in the future.

We stayed here with another family for a ski vacation and had a great time. What an incredible place! Just steps from attitash, the house was as exactly pictured in the photos and the owner was extremely responsive to any questions and concerns. Plenty of room for everyone and the fireplace and stockpile of wood made the ski trip complete. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a few days!
