PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 4 GUESTS STAYING. The 3rd bedroom attaches to the second, and has 2 single trundle beds. It is ideal for a family with 2 children, but it doesn't give privacy to the Queen bed in the 2nd bedroom, as it has to pass through the Trundle bedroom to get to the rest of the house. If you are still interested I could email or message a copy of the floor plan.

We have loving restored our cottage with a mix of family and New Orleans antiques and beach cottage furniture. Please treat it as your home. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood of locals and weekend residents. Kathy's family lived in the Pass for over 30 years, and because of this, we have many neighbors we consider friends. As such, we don't mind family and friends gathering on the porch, but please respect the peaceful aspect of the area. The Cottage and surroundings are not appropriate for loud house parties. The property is strictly a no smoking and no pets house! The house works best for one or two couples with 2 children, or a small family gathering, as the second bedroom (queen bed) passes through the third "kids room" ( 2 single beds in a trundle) to get to the rest of the house. We have a pak&play for an infant, but with 2 queens, and 2 single beds, 6 people is our limit. Please contact us with any special requests or concerns before booking. Thank you for considering our home.

What a wonderful, relaxing vacation! We actually didn't do as many 'activities' as we had planned because we couldn't get off the amazing porch! Great, central location. John & Kathy were very responsive as well. Wonderful intro to The Pass!

Great house in a stately, sleepy neighborhood a block from the beach. Very well-appointed kitchen. Easy walk to downtown Pass Christian. Easy drive to Bay St. Louis or Gulfport (where we recommend taking the ferry to Ship Island for a beach day). Be sure to take a good look at Scenic Drive, where 1850s mansions alternate with well-groomed but empty lots (thanks to Katrina and other hurricanes).

The Porch House was truly a lovely experience for our family! The house is exactly as pictured and we felt right at home. The porch is an amazing place to just relax and unwind. We also enjoyed the easy walk to the beach and to the nearby War Memorial Park. We stayed with our boys who are 4 and 6 yrs old and it was perfect for traveling with small kids. They rode their bikes to the park a few times each day and they loved playing at the playground under the large oak trees. It was a nice break in the shade from the sun at the beach. We definitely plan on staying here again next summer! **my 4 yr old is already asking when we are going to go back!

We were were thrilled with this home and the graciousness of John and Kathy. The house is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The screened porch is huge and a favorite place for breakfast and a drink together at night. We delighted in the tall ceilings, heart pine floors, and modern kitchen and bath. Best of all, the house is just a block from the wide gulf coast beach. Each morning we walked to the Cat Island Coffeehouse and then down to the beach to take in the antics of flocks of shearwaters and diving osprey and pelicans. John and Kathy were delightful to us and we hated to leave. We can't wait to return to The Porch House with family and friends. Many thanks to you both! Sarah and Bob

Living in New Orleans, the Mississippi Gulf Coast is the perfect weekend beach escape. When looking for a place in either Bay St Louis or Pass Christian, this historic cottage should be on the top of your list. The location is absolutly fantasic. Easily within walking distance to the Davis Ave shops in Pass Christian, the War Memorial Park and the beach! If you love spending time lounging on a porch, reading a book or enjoying a great meal on a giant screened-in porch, this is your place. The home has all the quant charateristics that make it a southern beach cottage; extremely high ceilings, french entry doors, plenty of furniture to lounge any way you prefer (hammock anyone?!) with all the modern conveniences of wifi, a renovated kitchen with great appliances and dishes as well as cable TV. To be honest, if the Cubs weren't in the World Series, you probably won't want to watch much TV (but it's available). Each room has their own unique charm and plenty of space. The claw foot tub is always a treat and is a great option to wash the kids. The farmers market is War Memorial park takes place every Saturday from 8AM-noon and we picked up a lot of great items for Christmas. We biked all over the place, looking at the house, watching the sunset and enjoying the many great places to eat. The Olive Oil and Vinegar store on corner of Davis Ave and 2nd St offers one of the most unique shopping experiences around and definitely worth checking out. The communication with John & Kathy was excellent. We needed to pump up the air in the tires on the bikes and he responded within 5 minutes. Communication before booking the house was very easy and straightforward. If your looking for a great place to stay in this area, this is your house.
