Wonderful 3 bed 2 bath authentic log home on a small 233 acre (10hp limit) lake in NH. The lake is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, swimming and floating around. Great in the winter as well for snowmobiling and close to all area attractions.
Welcome to our home, an authentic log cabin on Hermit Lake in Sanbornton NH. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 - 3/4 bathrooms (1 in the master bedroom) and just over 200 feet of waterfrontage. Hermit lake is a quiet 233 acre lake with a 10hp limit, perfect for floating, canoeing or kayaking. We have a small perched beach and a 35 ft dock for swimming. Inside there are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (in the master bedroom) on the top floor. The main floor has the kitchen, living room and another bathroom. The finished basement has a big screen tv and a bar for entertaining! There is no cable tv but Netflix and Amazon prime are available to you if you have logins, as well as dvd players. We do ask for a rental agreement which will be provided.

We have a fire pit outside and there are a few places to purchase firewood nearby. The yard is large and great for games and we have a small perched beach and sandy walk in to the water. Great fishing in the summer but you need a permit, and perfect location for snowmobiling or skiing access in the winter.

As part of our home security system we have motion sensors that have camera’s in them. The cameras are disabled when the system is turned off and not monitored. The system will be turned off prior to your arrival.
There is absolutely NO SMOKING allowed in the house or on the property.
Check-in is after 3PM. Sorry early check-ins are not allowed.
Check out is 11am, please understand that in most cases there are people coming in behind you and be respectful of that. A late departure will result in an additional days rent.
Linens – Sheets and towels are provided. Upon checkout all sheets and towels are to be washed & dried for the next guests.
There will be additional check-out procedures provided upon arrival. Please return the property in a clean condition. Please return all furniture to its original place, dishes should be clean and stored accordingly.
Occupancy – Occupancy limits are set due to the size of our septic tank and number of beds. At no time should overnight guests exceed the bedding accommodations provided. Overcrowding is taken very seriously and will result in immediate eviction with no refund. Tent camping/ pop up campers are not allowed without prior consent.
Utilities, Services and Appliances – These are provided as noted in the house description in good and working order by the landlord. Should there be an interruption of the utilities, services, and appliances due to circumstances beyond the landlord’s control the landlord will make every effort to remedy the problem in a timely manner. However, the landlord is not to be held financially liable for an interruption in the utilities, services or appliances to the dwelling.
AT NO TIME ARE HOUSE PARTIES, FAMILY REUNIONS OR OTHER LARGE GATHERINGS PERMITTED. Family groups are welcome. All responsible parties must be at least 25 years of age and must adhere to the occupancy restrictions advertised. Should a group misrepresent themselves they will be evicted immediately without a refund.
Wifi – Home is equipped with Wifi. Network name and password will be provided upon check in.
Fire pit – The home is equipped with an outdoor fire pit. Please keep all fires at a reasonable level. Firewood is not provided, there is a place to purchase firewood about 10 minutes away. Please make sure all fires are out before leaving the fire, and please make sure we are not on a red flag (no burning) day. Fireworks are not allowed on the property.
Grill – A propane gas grill is provided. There is a 2nd propane tank on the property should you run out of propane during your stay. Please do not move the grill and please turn the propane tank off after every use.
Trash – We have a weekly trash pickup service. All trash must be in trash bags. Please place trash in the appropriate bins which are on the far side of the garage near the street. Please make sure the lids are secured as there are animals in the area that will try to get in and make a mess. Any additional charges due to unsecured trash bins will be charged to guest.
Due to the way the log home was constructed 2 of the upstairs bedrooms are not heated. It is recommended that the bedroom doors be left open during the day so the heat will rise into those bedrooms. The master bedroom is heated by a ductless mini split.
The red Vermont castings stove is currently not operational.
While you are here, please treat our home as you would treat your own. Please keep it neat, and leave it as you found it.
The furniture (including beds) should not be moved.
We ask you to respect the neighbors by keeping the noise level appropriate. A vacation is to be enjoyed, so some noise is expected, but please do not disturb the people who live and work here, and their children who need their sleep.
