Chester- 21 km, 15 mins
Founded in 1759 by New England Planters, the village of Chester is noted for sailing, stately homes, magnificent gardens and a relaxed lifestyle where the scenic beauty will capture your heart. Also close choice for Restaurants & bars.

Mahone Bay 41 km, 29 mins
Settled in 1754 and founded on the shipbuilding and logging industries, the history of Mahone Bay is rich in tradition. Discover the story at the Settlers Museum and pick up a free historic walking tour pamphlet, then find your favourite spot along the historic harbourfront to capture one of the most photographed views in Canada: the Three Churches of Mahone Bay.

Peggy's Cove 47 km, 44 mins
Nova Scotia is home to over 160 historic lighthouses and these majestic beacons can be found throughout the province. Some of our lighthouses are world famous! Peggy's Point Lighthouse is one of Nova Scotia’s most well-known lighthouses and may be the most photographed in Canada. Located in the quaint fishing village of Peggy’s Cove along the South Shore, Peggy’s Point Lighthouse was built in 1915.

Lunenburg 54 km, 40 mins
Renowned for being the birthplace of the famous Bluenose and Bluenose II, the town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia has a long, proud seafaring history that continues to be reflected in its picturesque waterfront.

Halifax 51 km, 30 mins
For a city with more pubs and clubs per capita than almost any city in Canada, it’s fitting that our most famous brewmaster was also our mayor. Three times. Alexander Keith’s original 1820 brewery welcomes visitors with costumed guides, stories and, of course, good ale.
Walk across the street from Keith’s Brewery to the Halifax waterfront boardwalk that follows the water’s edge alongside the world’s second largest ice-free harbour. Stretching from the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 – the gateway into Canada for over one million immigrants – to Casino Nova Scotia, you’ll pass unique shops, restaurants, and in the warmer months, graceful tall ships. Hop aboard the ferry, North America's longest running saltwater ferry, in fact, and cross the harbour to the Dartmouth side which is filled with more locally-owned shops, galleries, cafés, restaurants, and pubs. A visit to Halifax is not complete without trying the fabled donair, the offical food of Halifax.

Kara was very responsive to all of my inquiries. We had a great time during our stay and would love to go back when we could make use of the dock and fire pit and the other outdoor amenities. We had a great dinner at the Shore Club which she recommended. The home is centrally located between Peggy's Cover and Mahone Bay and is an easy car ride to both.

I would highly recommend this rental. Communication with the host was excellent, location is terrific for beach goers, and sitting on the private dock in the evenings looking st the sailboats was very relaxing. Loved the Local restaurants, and being only 45 minutes to the airport is a bonus. Hoping to return...

The location and setting were both amazing. It was a very nice cottage and there were lots of things to do on the South Shore. The cottage and dock were lovely and it had lots of nice amenities. We enjoyed biking on the nearby rail trail and it was close to Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg - both spectacular.
