Welcome to our little beach house!
Just a few things to let you know as you enjoy your time with us:
We do have a driveway that fits 4 cars. However, parking end to end normally blocks our guests in. You are more than welcome to park in the driveway while you unload your things, but to avoid blocking each other in as we come and go, we ask our guests to park on the boulevard (the street you came in on). You can see your car from the house, and it is free to park, no time limit. Atlantic City is a short uber/cab ride away but if either of us are home, we would be more than welcome to give you a ride to the city. We both work in Atlantic City and are very familiar with the hot spots (especially the best happy hours)
We treat our guests like they are our family while they are here. What you find, you can use. This includes the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Some of our guests like to do some light cooking (there is an Acme about 2 miles towards the bridge, or if you only need a few items you can walk to Joe’s grocery on 12th street) and some of our guests like to enjoy the amazing restaurants found on the island. Amanda’s favorite is The Cellar (by the circle) and Chris likes Andres’ (on 14th street, just one block over). Some great breakfast places are Yiannis (walking distance) or The Pirates Den (not a far drive, about a mile or so but SO worth it). All we ask is whatever you use, you clean. You’ll notice we don’t have a dishwasher, as we fully embrace the simple beach life. The same is true for our central air. The house gets warm during the day, but usually our guests are enjoying the beach during those hot hours. We keep the windows open and get an amazing salty breeze, especially at night. Each room also has a fan. If you feel that the house is too uncomfortable for you to be able to enjoy yourselves, just let one of us know and we can accommodate you, but most of our guests love smelling the salt air.
Sandy and Easton
These are our full-bred husky pups. They are 2 years old, brother and sister, and so loving. You can have as little or as much interaction with them as you’d like. They like to hang outside while we aren’t home, and usually come inside when we get home from work. If you are hanging out in the house you are more than welcome to let them inside (the door in the kitchen leads to the backyard), but you are definitely not obligated to. They do love to cuddle, so if you don’t want to share your bed, just keep your bedroom door closed.
The bathroom door tends to stick during the summer, so just use some muscle. Also, the house is older and the bathroom light is finicky. Just flick the switch until the light turns on. If it works on the first try, its your lucky day! There is a beach bag in your room full of items you might need, including a small cooler. Just please return everything after you are done using it so that the next guests can enjoy it as well. Shower towels are provided, as well as some other toiletries in case you need them. If there is anything else you need, don’t be afraid to reach out! We hope you enjoy our home!
