Julieta's place is in a beautiful neighborhood of Mexico City, with easy access to restaurants, cafes, bars, and Uber pickups averaged less than 5 minutes. However, we had an incredibly frustrating experience staying here.
Julieta had reached out a few days prior our stay, and then never responded. We ended up waiting for a response to get into the apt for a few hours, and then gave up and went and got another Airbnb. The maid eventually reached out at 8am on a Sunday, calling over 6 times within 20 minutes. We were sleeping since we were on vacation.
The apartment is beautiful, although poorly maintained. There was only 1 extra roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, for a 4 night stay with 4-5 people. This means that we had to go buy toilet paper in the middle of our stay. It rained a lot while we were there, so this was an additional inconvenience.
The reservation was originally for 4 people, and there were exactly 4 towels. However, since there are 3 bedrooms, we ended up adding a 5th person and forgot to tell Julieta, thinking it wouldn't be an issue since the space is meant for 6. Having only 4 towels meant that 2 people had to share one, which is of course unpleasant.
There's a washer and dryer in the unit which is fabulous. However, there was no soap to wash clothes with. When we tried to dry the towels since people were sharing them, the lint hadn't been cleaned out, so we still woke up to wet towels that now smelled since they sat in the dryer all night.
The bathroom light was out for one of the bathrooms, which made for yet another unpleasant experience. There was also dust in various places, and there was a semi-rotten apple on one of the shelves.
Overall, the apartment is beautiful and in a fantastic neighborhood, and for that reason I enjoyed it. However, the actual delivery of the experience from check in and the state in which the amenities were in was subpar.
