IMAGINE if you can a distant palm-fringed shore far, far away from the
maddening crowd. This is perfect paradise, a Heavenly haven where apart from a sparkling crystal sunrise or burnished copper sunset, the perfect long waves peal forever.
This is where the sun shines as ceaselessly as the
incessant rolling surf and friendly smiles of laughing locals. This is
Atlakamani Surfing Resort at Playa Las Flores, truly a Beach of Flowers
speckled with gold dust.
* So why are we here in El Salvador, a small Central American nation just
short of the Equator, nestled between its much larger neighbours Guatemala and Honduras? The simplest answer is it faces the mighty Pacific. Seasoned
boardriders and watermen say the world's greatest ocean is a force to be
reckoned with. And we at Las Flores, by far the choicest, most sacrosanct
spot on the bay, were among the first to test the Pacific's power.
Strengthened by thousands of miles of unbridled windswept waters, the
powerful waves roar in from beyond the Galapagos to rear like wild white
stallions intent on sweeping away this timeless, unspoilt beachfront
barrier. The fury of this surf demands the highest skill, strength and
stamina of it’s riders. Even in the calmest of salty sea breezes, ideal
conditions for novices and beginners, it's still a serious challenge.
* Despite dense green flora inland, Las Flores is only a short stroll
along the shore from quaint and colorful fishing villages, source of much rich deliciously fresh seafood.
There are excursions to places of interest and outstanding beauty. The capital city, SanSalvador, is only a two-hour drive away. Guests are collected and delivered at Comalapa international airport, 150 kilometers away, served by major airlines on regular flights from main cities in North, South, Central America, and Europe. A warm Salvadorian welcome always awaits water sports
aficionados from all over the world at Atlakamani Surfing Resort. We aim
only to please, to ensure our superlative service makes your vacation the
most memorable and pleasurable of a lifetime.

If a world class 300 meter long freight training right hand point break, that peels across our bay onto the sand directly in front of our resort is what you had in mind, then welcome to “Las Flores” our signature break.
We have 5 right hand point breaks spread out across 10 miles of beautifully mountainous and rugged coastline. The most famous of our breaks are “Las Flores” and “Mangos”.
During your stay at Atlakamani Surfing Resort, you will most likely witness 1-5 foot predominantly SW swells come and go, depending on your trip duration. As the swell rises, our break grows from medium size (fun for everybody), and gradually becomes more intense suiting those surfers with more experience.
On large swells, people are more likely to spread out surfing different area of “Las Flores”, while the more experienced surfers get their share of barrels right at the point and down the coast, via a 10-minute boat ride to Mangos. The peak of the swell may last 1-3 days, and then gradually begins to subside, making Las Flores more user friendly for everybody.
This cycle continually repeats itself throughout the main surfing season (March 01 – November 30), which makes Atlakamani Surfing Resort an ideal travel destination for any standard of surfer. Even for the absolute beginners who have never surfed before, “Las Flores” is the perfect wave for learning to surf, breaking just 150 meters away from the resort entrance.

•Kayak & Ocean Kayak Tours
Blessed with countless miles of coastline and boasting endless lakes, rivers and estuaries, El Salvador’s east coast is ripe for kayaking opportunities. Kayak tours allow for greater and more private exploration than mainland excursions, simply because there aren’t as many people on the water. The tours, which are open to both experienced and inexperienced kayakers, are a wonderful way to see the impressive Tecapa-Chinameca volcano range and to spot wildlife both above and below the water. Places to kayak include Jiquilisco Bay Estuaries and San Dionisio’s Island as well as El Salvador’s coastline, among others.
•Mountain Bike Tours
Journey (n): (1) An act of traveling from one place to another. (2) A process of personal change and development.
Journeys take place in everyday life and help us get from points A to B. From your daily commute to work or a trip into town to complete your daily errands, we’re pretty sure almost all of you have undertaken a journey of this type at one point in your life. Whilst these kinds of journeys help you through life on a daily basis, the type of journey we’re interested in at Atlakamani Surfing Resort is something a little bit more adventurous. Think new places, new experiences and challenges to be conquered. Something along the lines of Frodo on his epic adventure across middle earth, minus the orcs and with a bike in tow…
With lots of ground to cover, our mountain biking journeys require a good level of fitness and confidence on the bike. In order to get the most out of your holiday we would recommend that you are able to comfortably cycle the daily distances outlined in the itinerary of your chosen mountain bike tour.
With a variety of scenery to explore, we’re sure that you will have a great time.
1.Las Tunas Tidal Bar Tour
Have you ever eaten at a restaurant that when the tide comes in it literally engulfs your table? The restaurant area sits on top of a big rock formation at the sea and when the tide is high, Las Tunas gets wet.
A one hour Panga boat ride to Las Tunas Tidal Bar will expose you to the natural beauties and deserted beaches of El Salvador’s east coast shoreline. If the ride wasn’t exciting enough, then surely navigating through the surf and onto the beach directly in front of the restaurant will be.
Hold on to your drinks and let the waves roll by whilst dining on some of the most renowned seafood available in El Salvador. Exciting and fun. Enjoy yourself amongst friends and family and make sure to catch the picture perfect sunset.
El Salvador’s east coast is blessed with boundless deserted beaches. Relax under a canopy at your own private beach and watch life float by. Back on your Panga boat you will have your own cooler stocked with food and drink for the day. What a perfect opportunity to get away with someone special and just take in the wonders of El Salvador’s east coast. Be prepared to see ocean caves, lots of sand, no people and if you’re lucky, dolphins at the side of your boat.
