The house stands on its own in a rural setting and is close to the ferry for the Island of Kerrera. The view from the house is over looking the Sound of Kerrera with yachts, fishing boats and ferries passing by. It's two miles to Oban which has a large choice of places to eat. There is no public transport to the house. Taxis are available from the railway station area in the town. Visitors are asked to arrive after 16.30 hours and on the morning of departure to leave by 10.00.
The attic room measures four and a half by three and a half metres (approx) so is fairly roomy, with sloping ceilings and views over the sea. The shared bathroom is on the ground floor.
Disponible para huéspedes
There is parking on the verge near the house. There are twenty steps up to the front door.
Guests can use the front decking which has table and chairs.
Atención a los huéspedes
I will be available to give help and information on, for example, trips out to the islands (Kerrera, Mull, Iona, Lismore, Tiree, Coll, and Colonsay) from Oban.
Otros aspectos destacables
Two cats also live in the house. They do not have access to the bedroom and bathroom as long as the doors are kept shut by guests, but they do have access to the rest of the rooms.
If guest find they cannot arrive before 7pm, please get in touch to make arrangements to arrive later.
Guests are asked to remove boots (only if wet or muddy) in the hall before going up the stairs. Wet coats can be hung up in the hall. Smoking in the house is not allowed. Guests are asked to keep their room door closed at all times to exclude the cats. This property is probably not suitable if you have an allergy to cats. Please ask for help with any queries or problems.
