Our Rustic Shearer's Hut is the perfect spot to base yourself for skiing, trout fishing, mountain bike riding, cycling, horse riding hiking or simply just relaxing. We are 45 minutes from the ski fields and there are many waterways nearby for countless fishing opportunities. There are countless spaces to hike on our farm it would be great for mountain biking also, and a great base for cycling. We happily supply slow cooked meals from The Boloco Station Kitchen, to your accommodation on request.

El lugar

We are a working sheep farm on 4000 acres and we also have many wild deer, kangaroos, wombats and many many birds for you to see. So keep your eye out for them.
We would like to give you privacy but we are always happy to help out in any way, or have a cheeky afternoon drink with our guests. Whatever you need.

Disponible para huéspedes

You are welcome to walk around and explore, or bring your horse or mountain bike and ride around our 4000 acres. We can supply you with a map or a suggested track. When we are doing sheep work you are more than welcome to give us a hand. Also if you're around and you see our outside fire lit, we are almost always up for a social drink and chat.

Atención a los huéspedes

We would be more than happy to light a fire for you ready for you after a big day looking around our wonderful area, we would also like to offer a small menu of slow cooked meals, made from our home grown lamb or Wild Venison, delivered to your hut ready to eat at a fee.
We also have a fire pit outside your hut for those clear nights when its lovely to be out in the dark by the fire looking at the amazing stars in the sky

Otros aspectos destacables

Our driveway is a Kilometre of gravel road that crosses a creek crossing before you reach the Cottage. We do HIGHLY RECOMMEND A 4WD or AWD vehicle as even though 95% of the year the creek is just a trickle, it can rise quite quickly in heavy rain periods and can take 24 hours to subside and the road can be slippery after rain, but please get in contact with us if you don't have one and we will be able to fill you in about the state of the driveway and creek. When dry it is perfectly fine for a normal sedan or 2WD vehicle. And quite frankly it's dry most of the time but it's just a warning that we like Guests to know about.
There is also no mobile reception or internet available.

We would 100% come back here, everything was perfect. A private set up in a lovely large brick hut with an indoor fireplace set each night for you, a full kitchen and a comfortable living area. We were even lucky enough to have it snow for us in spring! We set out to have a relaxing quiet weekend and our expectations were exceeded even down to the little details.

From the start of our booking right til the end of our stay, Trynie was so helpful. Fire was ready each day after a big day boarding. We would highly recommend Boloco, can't wait to come back next year!

We really enjoyed our stay in Trynie and Glyn's Shearers Hut. They are great hosts. The inside space is larger than it appeared on the photos. We were very comfortable and particularly enjoyed the wood fire. The kitchen is very well-appointed. I'd highly recommend this farmstay for anyone looking to relax away from the hustle and bustle, and would very happily return for our next weekend in the Snowy-Monaro area.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Shearer's Shed very much. The house stayed warm overnight and the big hot water boiler was easily able to service the five of us with relaxing hot showers. The towels provided to all guests were also of very high quality. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces were both greatly appreciated and added a special touch to our trip. The location is definitely secluded, so don't expect phone reception or internet out here. However, in the right company, this can be a liberating experience. It took us approximately 30 minutes to get to the centre of Jindabyne, and about an hour to park at Perisher (assuming minimal traffic). I would definitely recommend staying here at Trynie's if you have a group of four to six people and are looking for something more spacious and secluded than a tiny room close to Jindabyne.

Respuesta de Trynie:
Sorry to see that you've given us a 4 star review Derek for what i'm only assuming was your dislike of our lack of internet, mobile reception (which is all clearly stated in our listing) and your travel issues. I travel to Jindabyne twice a day every school day and i can tell you it only takes 20 mins, as another Guest clearly states in her review and she was staying with us at exactly the same time as you did. I'm sorry that you must have come stuck with the snow traffic but we should not and cannot be blamed for that fact. The weekends this year have been considerably terrible for traffic and it's huge issue around Jindabyne but quite frankly we shouldn't be penalised by your 4 star rating for something that is completely out of our control. We clearly state in our listing that there is no internet or mobile service and we certainly don't pretend to offer something we don't have. I'm glad that you and your friends enjoyed the actual Shearers HUT, but disappointed to find unwashed dishes left in the kitchen. Maybe we weren't the right choice for you and your friends and you should have stayed closer to Jindabyne with more of the Mod Cons that you are used to

My husband and i and our two girls moved to Dalgety in January 2016 after a lifetime in the Central West of NSW. We fell in love with this area over many years of spring time holidays, and we are delighted that we have been able to make it our home, and we look forward to showing our guests around.
We would be more than happy to provide slow cooked meals to your Hut made from either our own farm Lamb or Venison, from the many wild Fallow Deer that we have on the farm.
We love having fires outside in the winter and the occasional bonfire too. We love having friends over for drinks and dinner, and we love our new community, as well as being passionate Rugby followers.
