Kite was a fantastic host who was very responsive. His place came with everything we needed for the 5 days we were going to be in Kyoto. It is located close to a JR train station that was convenient for us to get around to the different sites. Nijo station area is centrally located to many spots since sites can be all over Kyoto. The best part of staying at Kite's was the shower/tub where you can take a traditional onsen bath to relax after a long day of being out and about. It was also great to have the washer available, the only downside is having to air dry but that is typical in Japan. It was colder in Kyoto than I expected and the apartment can be cold but there are heaters and blankets to keep warm, just make sure to close the sliding doors to keep the heat insulated. Overall a great stay and super easy for us. Thank you, Kite!

The place was very spacious and was enough for a group of five. The location was walkable to transit. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely house that I highly recommend. We enjoyed the Japanese style of the living room, bedroom and bathroom. The place is quiet and close to the subway. BTW there is a massage center close by.

Kite's place is an amazing value. Large and spacious, there was a crib for our child, and he was very responsive to any questions. The shower room was awesome... the toilet uniquely Japanese, and the house overall authentic Japanese style with tatami mat floors. It had all the appliances needed for our stay. Very close to restaurants and shopping. Walkable to Nijo station (5 min ride to Kyoto station), Nijo castle, and the light rail station which took us directly to Arashiyama to see the bamboo forest and monkey park. If you weren't planning on Arashiyama, do yourself a favor and go. The whole town and experience at Kite's was amazing... my only regret is not staying longer!
