Private and scenic home for your family gathering! Plenty of decks, patios, and gathering areas. We own The Alpen Haus, The Bear's Den, The Alpen Den and Casa Del, which are nearby. Rent multiple places to accommodate larger groups!
The Alpen Haus is a beautiful, secluded home along Four Mile Creek that easily accommodates 8 to 10 guests depending on sleeping arrangements. We own The Alpen Haus, The Bear's Den, The Alpen Den and Casa Del Sol, which are on the same several-acre property. You can rent multiple places to accommodate larger parties. The Alpen Den is actually the lower level of the Alpen Haus, but has its own private entrance and its own patio. Renting the Alpen Haus and Alpen Den together accommodates approximately 12 guests very comfortably. Discounts may be available when renting multiple places! All four of our places would allow for a total party of 16 to 20 guests.
***Note - due to our location outside of town, we are only subject to 3.9% state and county sales tax vs. the 11% tax required at properties located in Glenwood Springs proper.***
The Alpen Haus is a stunning 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home perfect for your family gathering. Plenty of decks, patios, and gathering areas. Private and scenic for your perfect vacation.
The master bedroom features a king bed and a premium bathroom within the bedroom. The two other bedrooms have queen-sized beds and share a bathroom off the upstairs hall. There are also two queen-sized sofa beds available in two separate areas. There is a powder room / half bath located on the main level for those guests sleeping on the sofa beds.
A fully equipped kitchen gives you the freedom of eating in if you’re too tired to try one of the many fabulous restaurants in the area. Relax in the large living area and enjoy cable TV, wireless internet, or simply unwind with a good book. The Alpen Haus has its own private patio off of the back that offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills and endless stargazing at night. It is a great place for lounging and grilling.
The property also features a recreation field and a horseshoe area. The field is great for volleyball, badminton, croquet, or for just tossing a ball (all the gear is available for your use).
Almost forgot...there is ping pong and foos ball in the garage!

The Alpen Haus does have laundry facilities available to guests.
A good time is encourage, but raging parties are not welcome due to the proximity of neighbors and other vacation rental guests. We have had a couple situations were guests have gotten to rowdy and have almost ruined it for the countless other guests that have had a great family gatherings at the Alpen Haus.
The following are not allowed:
1. Smoking in doors
2. Pets...unfortunately we had a few tough pet situations, so we are taking a break from allowing pets at the Alpen Haus.
***Special Note for winter guests - All wheel drive or four wheel drive autos are required when staying in December, January, and February. Difficult conditions may also exist in November and March. We have the driveway professionally plowed and generally do not have problems. However, inappropriate cars can and do get stuck as elevation changes exist on the driveway as well as the possibility of slick ice and deep snow. Stuck cars do cause problems as the driveway services three separate properties. You are required to provide information about the cars that will be driven during the winter. Guests that become stuck are responsible for all associated costs.***
