My home is located in the lower Makakilo neighborhood, Kapolei, HI.
The space for lease is a new Addition attached to the main house. It's about 500sq ft. of living space plus a 100sq ft. patio in the back. Basically a separate apartment unit with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchenette with sink, full refrigerator and dinning area. No stove. Perfect for couples or individuals traveling together.
As mentioned in the summary, the space is a separate apartment attached to the main house with most of the facilities and amenities of an apartment except a stove. There is no Stove/Hotplate etc., in the apartment. Guest are welcome to use the burner on the Grill for cooking.
There is a door that allows access to the apartment from inside the main house. The door is mandated by building code so it cannot be permanently barricaded or blocked out. It's a very heavy, solid door that is locked and secured on both sides when the apartment is occupied by guests.
There is a covered patio in the back of the apartment to be used exclusively by the guest. The patio has furniture that seats two and a propane grill with burners for cooking if needed.
There is also a uncovered deck attached to the patio and a laundry room in the back of the main house adjoining the patio.
There is a relative large backyard with young fruit trees and sugar cane planted on the perimeter. Guest are welcome to explore the backyard, just keep in mine that it's a common area that is not private or exclusive to the guest.
Guests are also welcome to enjoy the cool trade winds and beautiful ocean view from the front deck. Just relax outside while drinking a cup of coffee, tea or your favorite adult beverage.

Guest has they own private entrance. They can come and go without disturbing the host or being disturbed by the host. Also full access to the laundry facility.

I usually work long hours during the weekday. Leave home early in the morning and return late evening. I am home most of the day on Saturday and Sunday, however usually go out to play soccer in the evening.
I prefer giving the guest they space and privacy. However i will be available to guest if they need any help. I am the only one living in the main house, so it's usually very quiet. If my car is parked in the front of the house I am usually home, just text or knock on the white front doors or front sliding door to get my attention.
I can be home from most part of the island under an hour (depending on traffic). Again text or call me if something comes up and you need my help.

Please pay close attention to the location, the space description and the amenities. I try very hard not to mislead guests with false advertising.
For example, my house is in Kapolei (Makakilo Neighborhood). It's about 30 miles from Waikiki. Even with great traffic it will take about 30 minutes to drive to Waikiki. If you need to be close to Waikiki nightlife my space won't be the ideal location for you.
I personally think this apartment is perfect for people (single or couples) just looking for a place to chill after a long day on the beach, hiking or exploring the island or visiting friends/family on the island.
Evaluate the space so soon as possible after check-in to make sure it's adequate for your needs. If the space does not meet your expectations, I can work with Airbnb to find you more appropriate accommodation. Hopefully we can resolve any problem very quickly so you can enjoy your vacation.

I will provide a clean and comfortable environment for my guest, however I cannot provide daily room services.
The laundry is available to the guests, but please be considerate. Electrical energy is costly in Hawaii. Also, please don't overload the machine. I really want to continue provide this service without resorting to raising my price.
Unplug all the kitchen and bathroom appliances, the lights and shutoff the A/C when you are leaving the room for an extended period of time. Do your best to conserve energy.
I expect guest to respect the neighbors.
Strictly no profanity.
Late night parties will not be tolerated.
Quiet hours between 10:00pm and 8:00am.
No smoking inside the unit or on the front deck.
Smoking is allowed on the back patio.
No unregistered guest without my consent.
