Jinny is a rare 1960's vintage caravan professionally restored with modern comfort whilst retaining the beautiful wood & brass interior. Jinny is pitched up for the summer on our reserved campsite spot April-Oct. Ready for your arrival (see photos on pitch).
Minutes walk to pub, shop & picturesque shore.
We like this campsite very much. It has a peaceful atmosphere with views to the hills and fringed by ancient woodlands.
All camp fees included.

COVID 19 Update - Campsites are not able to operate normally with shared facilities therefore unfortunately we will not be taking bookings for the remainder of the season. Jinny will be back on the campsite pitch April 2021.

The standard size Double bed with luxurious topper and linen is permanently in place with separate dining area so there's no need to fold it away during the day. Twin set up is possible if the dining table is lowered to make a second bed and extra linen can be provided.

Constructam caravans of this era are true gems. The perfect vintage caravan for 2.

Living here and knowing the area well, we have chosen a great spot at Sunart Campsite with a peaceful, private outlook from the front dining area. Jinnys reserved pitch is away from the main campsite path where you can enjoy the country surroundings, soak up the sun or sit under the shade of the tree. See photos of Jinny in position. This will be the same spot throughout 2020.

Sunart Campsite is a small, quiet campsite on the fringe of Strontian village, Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Just a few minutes walk to the picturesque shore, shop, pub, cafe and restaurants. A half hour walk (or by car or bike hire) takes you to a beautiful secluded beach.

The campsite also has a cosy bothy for campers use with wood burner, WiFi connection, books and local info.

Min 3 nights,
Arrival 3 pm or arrange a later time. (Saturdays - flexible arrival)

Bike Hire and canoe trips from the campsite.

Strontian is a beautiful part of Ardnamurchan Peninsula roughly 2.5 hours drive north of Glasgow. There are lovely walks along the shores, hills and ancient Sunart Oakwoods. The romantic ruin of Castle Tioram is a few miles away and beautiful sandy beaches at Ardtoe and Kentra are just a half hour drive from the campsite. Trips are easily made to stunning sandy beaches, islands and film locations to the north ( eg- Harry Potter, Rob Roy, Local hero). A day trip west along the loch to the beautiful golden sands of Sanna Bay is also recommended.

Direct train from Glasgow to Fort William & bus to Strontian. Car hire is also available in Fort william.

Jinny has been restored with additional modern conveniences to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Sleeps 2 as standard size Double bed with a luxurious, breathable mattress topper and makes a cosy space to recline during the day.

This area is a much loved destination for campers, ramblers and hikers with breathtaking views to the mountains and sea lochs. There are lovely walks near the campsite. A 25 min walk takes you to a stunning secluded beach. There are walks along coastal paths, ancient woodlands, hills and sea lochs. The beautiful sandy beaches at Ardtoe and Kentra are a half hour drive from the campsite and the stunning sands of Sanna Bay make a lovely day out - around an hour away along the picturesque winding coastal road westward.
The sunsets here can be awe-inspiring.
A scenic drive just over an hour north brings you to Arisaig, Morar and Glenfinnan, an area which has been featured in a number of films including Highlander, Rob Roy, Local Hero and Harry Potter.
Here you can find boat trips to the islands, kayak hire and horse riding on the beaches.

The campsite is a short walk to the village pub, restaurants and shop.
Bikes can be hired at the campsite.
