There are several steps to get a good view. Steps not suitable for disabled or small children.
Off street parking available.
Please note there is no TV. Broadband internet available.
There is a layered fern bank out the back so if the weather is dry for long periods it is hoped that someone can come, when convenient, to water.
With views and surrounding bush there is privacy = no curtains. Nobody but the birds can look in but there are curtains you can put up on the north side of main bedroom if you wish.
Because of the stairs the house is unsuitable for disabled persons.
Smoking outside please
Breakfast is provided but not dinner. You can cook your own or contribute to a shared dinner (ie bring a bottle of wine etc) by arrangement. Usually happy to cook for people who contribute.
Please do not expect me to provide dinner as a matter of course or help yourself to my pantry without asking.
I have worked at sea most of my life and now pottering around closer to home in the beautiful Coromandel.
At home I am part of a voluntary group helping to boost kiwi numbers in the northern part of the Coromandel Peninsula, (success! more calls at night) and cruising around with my classic Brit (MGB GT).
Reading, history and the arts (although alas I lack any talent in that area) are pastimes, as is spending time with friends over a good meal.
I understand the benefits of holiday makers finding a place that is not the neutral bland hotel destination.
I usually host letting out a room but I have over the Xmas period a very groovy house bus in a gorgeous patch of private bush available to me, so off to do a bit of noxious weed control and play pseudo hippie. Hence letting out the house. (It pays the rates, insurance and the MG mechanic.) I won't be too far from coromandel town but the bus and bush are in a technological black hole where telecommunication companies forgot. Thus out of range in evenings but will check when I can.
