I'll try my best to keep this short.
The Apartment is modern and generally what you can expect from the pictures; there is lots of light from the windows and it was clean overall. The location is pretty good as there are many places within easy walking to eat, drink or other and the metro station is just a few steps away, so it's pretty central to the major attractions.
I did have some issues during the booking which has left me feeling as though I've been strong armed into it; checking-in was also an issue as the host failed to list the apartment number, wasn't there at the time I said I would be but, luckily there is a McDonald's around the corner to get Wifi.
Other issues includes; It's on the 4th floor of a walk-up, which isn't a big problem but this wasn't made known beforehand. The final flight of stairs up are narrow and the threads high, which makes carrying luggage up and down difficult, to say the least and at night the lights wouldn't turn on to illuminate the steps so it had to be tackled carefully.
We are a couple and for the entirity of our one week stay, we were provided 2, yes two towels that were quite rough. The bathroom door cannot close because the floor is uneven so it's quite a task asking your girlfriend to go with the doors wide open, unable to close.
The only thing on TV apparantly is, "La chaine choisie n'est pas disponsible."
The kitchen is very sparse, there was 1 large pot and 1 large frying pan, some assorted cups, pasta dishes and plates. There were knives and forks but they were cloudy looking as though they haven't been used or washed in a while. The refrigerator door wouldn't stay closed after numerous attempts at closing it, it would just slowly open itself even though it was basically empty. There's no microwave, just a rotisserie which is basically useless, no glassware whatsoever: There is a Nespresso coffee machine though, so yeah.
I don't want to seem mean about the apartment, my girlfriend liked it, despite the issues but, I think that it was Paris clouding her thoughts.
NB. please be aware that the stated cancellation policy of moderate doesn't mean much even if you want to cancel well before the 24 hour before booking and will leave you shocked. I personally have had a change of heart about Airbnb and will be much more careful next time, if ever.
