You have your own cabin on the lake in Parry Sound Muskoka. The cabin has a kitchen/living room, a separate bedroom, a 3-piece bathroom with a shower, and the screened-in porch. We are on a well with the water system having a triple filter including UV light so it is safe to drink. The lake is right below your cabin and ideal for swimming from mid-June to mid-September. You are also welcome to paddle our canoe or stand-up paddle boards.
Please help us keep the area clean so that we don't have unwanted interactions with bears and other animals. We have had many types of four-legged and winged visitors including: bear, coyote, crane, deer, duck, eagle, fox, frog, goose, hummingbird, loon, moose, otter, racoon, turtle, weasel and woodpecker. There are also mosquitos and flies so we recommend you bring some insect repellent for when you are outdoors depending on the time of year. Your cabin also has a large screened-in porch so you can still enjoy the lake if the insects are bugging you!
Disponible para huéspedes
Your cabin is completely separate from our home. You have your own private driveway.
We share 2-3 acres and we have neighbours on one side of the property.
We share the shore and dock that you see in pictures for boating, fishing and swimming. Our family will swim or paddle at the lake as well but we aim to ensure you have private time to enjoy the water.
Atención a los huéspedes
You can come and go as you wish. Please send us a message if you need anything and we will try our best to assist. Being so close to the water sounds travel so you will hear people on the lake but most of all you will hear the water, trees, animals, birds and insects.
Otros aspectos destacables
The cabin has electric heat and air conditioning but is not fully winterized so it is mainly available for May-October. May and June are ideal months to enjoy spring on the lake. July and August are the peak times for local travel as folks head north to escape the summer heat. September & October are especially beautiful as the abundant maple trees on our property have their leaves change colour. Please consider a visit in our shoulder seasons in the spring and fall as most of our bookings are in July/August. November to April the cabin goes into hibernation but you can always book ahead for the following year!
Please keep the cottage and surrounding area clean as we are in critter country: otherwise racoons and bears will make unwanted visits.
Practice water safety as your cottage is lakeside: no alcohol while swimming please.
Please separate garbage and recycling. We are happy to collect it regularly but proper sorting on your part makes it much easier.
No smoking in the cabin please.
No pets is firm.
