My husband and I, along with our four year old daughter have had a unique and memorable stay at Haris's cave house. We were Greek Island hopping and Haris's home was our 2nd of 9 Airbnb accommodations we stayed in, just after a short stay in Imerovigli and before Oia. Maria, Haris's assistant, communicated effectively and clear through Airbnb with us. George, Haris's assistant, met us outside a restaurant to check us in, and this was done flawlessly.
The location of Haris's home is lovely, set right near the coast of Ammoudi Bay, just steps away from a handful of popular taverns, which offer lovely seafood. Inside the home, we had access to the TV (which we never turned on), a fridge, oven, toaster, coffee and expresso maker, A/C, and telephone. We also had access to wireless wi-fi, which was strong and reliable. The linens and towels were provided, fresh smelling, and though we only stayed for one night, Maria mentioned that they are changed every three days free of charge. I would advise any couple staying with children, younger than age 6, to be very mindful of the stairs from the downstairs area to the upstairs bedroom. There is no railing, so be careful. The only issue was that Maria did mention that we would be welcomed with a bottle of the famous Santorini white wine and cold refreshments, to celebrate our five year wedding anniversary and our daughter's birthday. After George checked us in, we opened the fridge to an empty bottle of red wine, but there was a bottle of water provided for us. We were expecting the white wine, as Maria said, and I'm sure if we told George about this, he would have delivered a bottle, but we didn't bother, and instead headed to the infamous cliff for some swimming, sand, and sea adventure.
Thank you, Haris and team, for a wonderful stay! We would recommend this unique cave house to anyone!
