Hi there! We have a Pop Up Glamping meadow that operates in part of July/August situated in the dunes on our Northumbrian Farm. A 1 minute stroll gets you to a 7 mile sandy bay and a national cycle route.
There are 6 Bell Tents in the canvas village that all have their own firepit and great views. We only have one Bell listed here but please ask for availability if you are looking for more than one tent.
Our changeover days are Friday (3 night minimum), Monday & Wednesday (2 night min)
We are a Pop Up campsite called The Bells of Hemscott on a working farm in Northumberland open in July and August only, returning the area to farmland in September.
Our Canvas Village offers pre- erected tents and basic facilities for people who don't have their own camping gear or don't want the hassle.
The tents are located in a flat clearing in the dunes next to a beautiful secluded beach, just a quick hop over the top.
The Bells include a double futon style bed with a comfy topper to make sure you get a good nights sleep and single and double chairbeds for up to 3 kids. Bedding is provided for the double bed only.
There is a hanger for clothes with shelves and crate tables and lanterns.
A kitchen box holds plates, mugs, bowls, cutlery, utensils and a pan set. You can either cook outside on the grill or in the communal kitchen shed where there are gas stoves.
There are compost loos (see photos) near the tents and basic field showers in huts.
Disponible para huéspedes
The field we use is 20 acres so don't worry, there is plenty of space!
You access the field down a farm track that you can drive down and park at your tent if you wish.
Atención a los huéspedes
Alison and Phil run the site and will be there to meet you and pop up to the field several times a day.

Sorry, no dogs.
We are a family friendly campsite so while we do accept small groups of friends we do expect guests to respect our ethos. We ask for quiet after 10 and silence after 11pm.

Hi, I'm Alison and live at Hemscott Hill Farm with my husband, Phil and our Labrador, Tilly. You will probably see them both around, and my Dad who lives in the farmhouse.
We opened Calico Barn in 2016 as a tribute to my late mother who was a quilter and made the quilts that decorate the barn. Calico Barn was her quilting shop before we opened it as accommodation (and a milking parlour before that!).
When you stay at the farm you'll likely encounter our pigs, sheep, cows and alpacas, along with a few sheepdogs (please let us know if you're frightened of dogs, ours are soft as anything but we do appreciate that not everyone is keen!).
In the summer we're flat out with glamping and camping as well.
We look forward to welcoming you to Hemscott Hill!
