Awsome little unit close to many food options. Complex is super secure and unit is smallish but very nice. Hot water works super well and aircon is great. Worth a stay!

I fell in love with Eddie's place the first time I saw the pictures on his listing on Airbnb! Despite the fact that there were more affordable residences available in Dumaguete, I found myself going back to his listing every time I refreshed the search engine. An accommodation's cleanliness, comfort, and "serenity" are qualities that win my family and me over. Hence, you could imagine how excited I was the minute my husband & I stepped into Eddie's place. So ecstatic I was that I sent him this message as soon as we settled into our assigned room : "Oh my goodness!!! I am so happy we decided to stay at your place! It's so true to the pictures posted on your page. I especially love the earth tones of the room's interior....and the garden's to die for! It's so neat! I was right in falling in love with your place! We will definitely stay here every time we visit Dumaguete. :) God bless you!" Here's more on the checklist : security & reception clerk present during vital hours; a/c works perfectly; water in the shower abundant; towels & beddings clean; mugs & electric kettle available; storage ample; dining/work table inside room; internet signal strong; cable TV good (NHK World...hooray!); complimentary soap/shampoo (sachet)/bottled water provided (bring more if staying longer than 2 days). Of special mention, other than the room being cleaned daily, is the trash bins are lined with garbage bags (meaning, no "icky" dirt sticking to the bins that would make one squeamish). Hey! I'm a stickler for neatness, so that's a thumbs-up for me! LOL! Another plus is the location. You won't even break a sweat walking the ultra short distance to the main road where you can catch a tricycle that will take you to destinations within the city for only P8.00/trip. Also, there are 2 well-stocked sari-sari stores (convenience stores) just a few meters to the left for your impromptu needs. One will never go hungry as well. Right across is a Korean restaurant. Walk toward the right and you'll find Venue Restaurant where we're told buffet Japanese food is served every Wednesday night (we'll try it on our next trip). Alternately, cross the street & walk toward the left to Sta. Teresa Cafe where you can "pick-&-point" from a wide array of ready-to-eat meals and desserts (open from 7am-9pm). But wait! On your way to Sta. Teresa, watch out for the yellow sign (just a stone's throw away from Eddie's place) for the "hurrah of all hurrahs" : Neva's Pizza which, honestly, should be proclaimed a city treasure. The place isn't much to look at but the pizza is the best! As for! He was quick to reply, very patient with my queries, and was a delight to coordinate with. Equally delightful was Tita Belen, one of the kindest, sweetest, friendliest, "chillax" ladies I've met in Dumaguete. Will we go back to Eddie's place? WE MOST DEFINITELY WILL!
