Otros aspectos destacables
We offer no TV and no Air Conditioning units, but each room has 2 or 3 fans, depending on its size.
Mexico is an auditory feast on so many levels.
There are street vendors driving thru town blasting their wares via speakers tied onto their car roofs, offering everything from drinking water to vegetables and fruits to mattresses.
There are dogs barking everywhere, or rooster crowing, or Mexican cowboy music playing from across the street, sometimes at 2 am in the morning.
There are the Mexican holidays such as Semana Santa (or Holy Week), Independence Day. or Cinquo de Mayo with opportunities to experience celebrations a la Mexico.
We have a bar right behind the property (between us and the marina) called "Ana Banana’s", offering food and music on most Friday, Sunday, and Monday nites. They play loud music from about 7 to about 10:30 pm or later. It is good music, rock and roll, blue grass, or country tunes, but it is loud.
Our way for us to deal with it is either to go over and dance till we are tired, or close all windows, when we go to bed and open them later, when the music stops.
Blessing the noise, no matter what, works best for me. Some guest sleep better by using ear plugs (we do have them available...).
If you are very sensitive to noises, the Mexican noise levels might be an issue.
You absolutely win our hearts by making us smile or even laugh. Otherwise being friendly, clean, and quiet will do the trick.
CHECKIN AND CHECKOUT TIMES
CHECKIN: between 2 and 9 PM (9 PM is non-negotiable)
CHECKOUT: by 10 AM
QUIET HOURS: 10 PM - 8 AM
The Agave Azul is not a hotel, but a guest house with a mix of longterm residents and short term guests.
Thank you for respecting the privacy of the residents.
POOL HOURS: 8 AM - 10 PM
DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY
Our intention for this guest house is a (mostly) drug and alcohol free place. We don’t mind an occasional bottle of wine or a beer for dinner, but this is not a party house. There are a lot of options to party in the neighborhood bars.
You can only smoke in the designated area for smokers across form AnaBanana's on the oceanside of the kitchen terrace, or in front of your room, if other guests are not bothered by it.
No smoking please in your rooms, your bathrooms, and in the shared kitchen.
Guests cannot bring their pets to stay with them at the Agave Azul.
DOS AND DON'TS FOR DRYING TOWELS & CLOTHES
People like to use the balustrades (all upstairs rooms) and green railings (downstairs rooms) to dry towels, bathing suits, and hand washed clothes.
DO: You are welcome to dry towels and bathing suits in front of your rooms.
DON'T: Please use the clotheslines on end of the upstairs red deck for all the clothes (especially underwear) you would like to dry.
Thank you for being such respectful and wonderful guests...
