Me and my girlfriend would definitely go back here. Had a very nice time with the lovely people who own the place (sadly we didn't meet Alex himself) who were very helpful, and cook good food also. For a little extra money You can also get lunch and dinner if you want (recommended when you have the option :) ) The location I got from airbnb was not correct, maybe alex doesn't want to write it down or something, I don't know :) but don't hesitate, just ask him and he will tell you Oh yeah if you are driving by yourself like we were, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps doesn't know the quick road what directly lead you to the destination. The first time we drove far around. So make sure you know where to go. Good communication with Alex also, who gave all the relevant information even in the early morning. Thanks bro

Sadly enough we weren't able to stay at this place. The address of the home was unfindable, nor did the host reply to any of our many messages on Airbnb, nor via sms or phone calls. This ruined half a day and we had to find another last-minute place to sleep. Worst experience ever. We filed a complaint about this with Airbnb.

Alex is a great host, he accompanied us almost everyday to everywhere I wanted to go. very easy to communicate and great knowledge to the area, history, culture of Toraja. His friend Tommy who drives was excellent driver and a cool guy!

Alex is a nice, friendly host. He picked me up and brought me to his uncels house. This is about 15 km away from Rantepao in a rural area. To reach or leave it, it is the best by a motorbike or car. By Public Transfers you must change in Bolu and walk up (left) for 2 km in Pangli. Alex offers 2 different accomodations (more by another uncle). One in a traditionell house with one big room. Without furniture, water, toilett in it. Only 2 matresses on bottom. The other room is in the house of his uncle. It is small with small Toilette. And dark, window view is into something like a garage. The family speaks no word English, so you Need some words in indonesien Language. Alex do not stay there. I payed (airbnb) 235 000 a night. It seems me a little bit expensive.

We really enjoyed our stay in Pangli with Alex. He was very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome in his family (even took us to his family funeral ceremony where we were invited to join them for lunch). The room is simple & basic and a bit far from Rantepao centre but for us this wasn't a problem at all because we had a scooter and the simpleness of the accomodation made us feel very local-like. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this place if you'd like to see the "real" non-touristic and definitely cultural interesting part of Indonesia.
