Sunny room with 1 queen size and 1 single bed in our 3rd floor Victorian - 20 minute walk/10 minute bike ride to Upenn - closer to trolley, bike rental, coffee shops, bars & restaurants, & Clark Park with food trucks/BIG farmer's market Saturdays.

El lugar

Our 3 story Victorian row-home was built in 1901, and you'll find your eclectically decorated room (and our home in general) reflect this wonderful city's history, arts, and design. With original hardwood floors, tons of natural light, bathroom directly next to your room, and both a queen-sized bed & twin bed in the room - you'll be able to stay comfortably nestled away whether visiting for fun or work. In the room are also a large fern, writing desk/chair, and closet for hanging clothes.

Disponible para huéspedes

Guests will have access to the bedroom and bathroom on the third floor, and will have keys to the house and their own room. We also provide an electric kettle on the 3rd floor with a variety of herbal teas, instant coffee, and a few snacks! Definitely be sure to check out our pet bunny rabbit Alphonzo who lives in the front room on the 1st floor, relax or get work done back in our spacious backyard garden with fire pit, and be sure to ask about indego bike sharing and the BIG farmer's market in Clark Park.

Atención a los huéspedes

We are happy to give guests as much of their own space or as much hands on tips of local fun/food/walks/museums as they would like! We are a growing family living, gardening, maintaining this beautiful 100+ year old house, and working in this neighborhood with our infant son Elliot, who you will likely get to meet:)

Otros aspectos destacables

Be aware that we own a rabbit as a pet, are conscientious and respectful neighbours and members of this community, and that our home has a great many stairs to navigate when considering staying with us as your room will be on the 3rd floor. Also a note about our new baby, he is a good sleeper and has yet to cry loud enough to make it up to the 3rd floor. We do provide a white noise machine in the room to be sure you can get the rest you need even if we're up helping him.

The house was beautiful, finding parking was a breeze, and Jacob and Lindsay were delightful. This is a great location from which to explore West Philly and we would absolutely stay here again if we end up back in Philly.

Jacob & family were wonderful hosts; they were both warm and inviting and their home was a beautifully kept example of turn of the century architecture. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner just right for making a warm September weekend slumber perfect on the warmish 3rd floor. The location was perfect for us; it was in walking distance to our weekend destination and to "the best pizza pub in West Philly". While the big city is not my 'cup of tea' I could not imagine a better family to share our first Airbnb experience with.

Jacob and Lindsey were very accommodating. They had spacious room for the three of us upstairs with our own bathroom. Although Philadelphia was sweltering the day we were there the accommodations had air-conditioning and a fan to keep the room cool. They have an adorable bunny rabbit and cute baby son whom we never heard (in other words we slept through the night without ever being awoken by Eliot.) The home is in a century plus old 3 story building in a mixed but safe feeling neighborhood called Cedar Park with a good assortment of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Street parking right nearby can be a challenge, but we eventually found parking within about a block of their house.

We had a great time at Jacob, Lindsey, and baby Elliot's home! They were very flexible and worked with our estimated time of arrival. Everything was very clean and comfortable. This was a great location and a quick uber ride to Center City. I highly recommend this family as a place to stay in West Philly very energetic, welcoming, and approachable.

Jacob, Lindsay, (and baby Elliot!) were wonderful hosts. They were most accommodating of our ETA, which was a moving target due to car issues. The single bed in an alcove of the spacious room delighted our 9-year-old (as did some granola bars and hot cocoa in the room!) and having the entire 3rd floor to ourselves made for a nice retreat from a full day of activity in Philly.

Jacob and Lindsay were warm and welcoming to us throughout our 2-day stay with them in West Philly! Since my business partner and I were new to Philadelphia, and PA in general, they were so helpful with supplying suggestions for dining out in their area of West Philly as well as providing easy to follow directions for the trains and trolleys that run through this area! We both felt very welcome and comfortable in their adorable Row House in west Philadelphia. Their location on Hazel Avenue was an easy trek from the Philadelphia airport by train, then trolley and, finally, a short 3 block walk to their home! HIGHLY recommend this spot for families and students traveling to the area for college visits!

We are a married couple with an infant son, Elliot. We've been living in West Philly since 2009. We bought this big old house to update and renovate and it's been a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. Jacob works as a teacher and teaching artist in the neighborhood and Lindsay w…
