We came here for a bachelorette party weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. All of us were very comfortable with the sleeping accommodations, and Tim was a fantastic host who greeted us all with homemade wine and gave us suggestions on where to pick up groceries for the weekend. The bride mentioned that this was all she could have asked for in a bachelorette weekend.

Tim's bunkhouse cottage is in a beautiful setting in Glen Ellen and our group of 6 really enjoyed staying on the property. It was a perfect distance away from Sonoma wineries, and we even trekked the windy Trinity Road to cross over to St. Helena a few times during our stay. Check-in was a breeze - we pulled up to the house and Tim was waiting for us with some wine and cheese! We met his friendly ridgeback dog Kingston, his cat (Puss), and 2 horses (Vladimir and Papillon). Our group enjoyed the beautiful scenery and also took advantage of the outdoor hot tub by the creek. As some previous reviews have stated, the water does have a sulfur smell to it - but this is minor compared to the experience of staying at his cottage. Just be sure to bring a case of bottled water and you'll be fine.

Really beautiful property. The house was a bit smaller than expected, but our group of 6 was able to squeeze in okay, and the outdoor areas were great for dinner. Note that the water in the house has a very strong smell of sulphur.

This place is magical. We had the most amazing experience here, enjoying the nice cottage and the environment around. The cottage is nice, clean and had everything what we needed. Is close to supermarket, restaurants, Sonoma downtown and around 35 min drive to Napa Valley. But what we like the most was the great conversations and time we spend with Tim. He is a nice, kind person, and has a lot of great stories to tell. He invited us his own wine, that by the way was very tasteful! We also enjoy to go hiking with Kingston (tim's dog) Kingston is seriously the best hiking guide ever! We really enjoyed to spend time with him too! About the sulfur odor of the water, well, yes we could smell it, but only when we use warm water. But to be honest, this place and Tim have so much to offer, that we didn't pay to much attention to it. In conclusion this is a great place to stay

This location is absolutely beautiful. The creek, wildlife, and remote feel offer a great getaway within Glen Ellen. I loved not seeing other neighbors while were were there. Tim provided snacks in the fridge and the cupboard had coffee which was a plus! The cottage is very rustic. If you stay in the kitchen/bedroom, note that folks need to walk through your room to get to the kitchen. AC is only in the plum room. The sulfur water is very strong. We brought in our own water to drink (though a Brita filter was provided). Showering was unpleasant. While we were out and about, keys to the cottage were not provided, but the location was remote enough we felt ok with that. I'd stay here again just for the beautiful setting and proximity to Sonoma.

Wonderful visit. Tim was friendly and made my stay a pleasure. The setting was tranquil and perfect for a weekend away but close to wineries and things to do.

Tim's place is in a gorgeous location. I loved waking up to see the horses, Tim's friendly dog Kingston and sweet cat Puss. The area is lovely and green. There are many places in the yard to sit, read, and enjoy the sounds of the creek. On our last morning we took a quick hike up the road into the woods with Kingston as our guide and saw redwoods and generally just beautiful wooded scenery. The location is truly wonderful, secluded, and yet close enough to town for run to the grocery store as needed. I had read previous reviews about the odor to the water and was prepared with bottled water for drinking. What I had not considered was the issue of taking showers. I attempted one shower but couldn't get through it. The smell is that bad. The place is as described and Tim is a friendly host. He greeted us with wine and snacks. He gave us a great tip about "Train Town" and the kids loved it.
