Senderismo por las siete cataratas encantadas
On this Enchanted Waterfalls Hike we will venture into the foothills of the Cascade mountains, enjoying a beautiful scenic drive through the countryside before reaching our trailhead. Once on location we will hike "The Crown Jewel of Oregon", Silver Falls. This breathtaking ~5mi loop leads us down a well established path, suitable for both beginner and seasoned hikers alike. Emotions come alive as we immerse ourselves in the moss covered forest and venture behind a towering 177ft waterfall and watch as the crystal clear water crashes to the ground, before continuing on our journey passing 7 unique waterfalls in total. Along our path we may discuss native plants, animals, landscape topography and ecosystem functions in a natural and fluid manner. Before reaching the trails end we will pass through a stand of old growth forest, peering up at 250ft tall trees dating to over a thousand years old. Once back at the trailhead we will enjoy our final glimpse of the forest in the company of our newfound friends. When the last photo has been taken and the energy of this magical land has been fully realized, we will make the return journey to Portland!
Multnomah Zen: caminata panorámica por cuatro cascadas
Multnomah Falls and other waterfalls and vistas of the Columbia Gorge are astonishing icons of geology, the sort that have inspired mythology and lore of warriors, gods and passions in every world culture. Meet the tallest waterfall in the state, and a few of the shorter but even more stunning ones, too; falls which could only be the daughters and sons of legend. In this half-day experience, we will explore wonders with some short hikes (totaling less than 2.5 miles/4 km) and visits to overlooks and vistas that will have you gasping in awe. While Multnomah Falls and its iconic Benson Bridge are together the most-visited tourist attraction in the Portland area, they are only a part of our experience. We will meet at our shop in inner SE Portland, where we'll ride in our comfortable Sprinter and Transit vans to the nearby gorge. Depending on weather conditions, we could visit a few small hidden waterfalls or spectacular plunge-style falls whose columnar basalt has us learning words for "amazing" in other languages. We'll also tell you stories, geology, botany and oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and wild spirits and about the oldest North American civilization, forever altered by “manifest destiny." Please note we book directly as well as through AirBNB, and your group may be up to 10.
Taller de diseño de fragancias
We’ll introduce you to the process and materials that comprise fragrance creation. We'll spend about half the workshop smelling our way through a selection of over 30 raw ingredients, while discussing fragrance and blending techniques. You'll spend the remainder of the workshop developing and blending your own fragrance, with tips and pointers along the way. After this, you'll turn your fragrance into an oil-based roll-on personal fragrance. You’ll take home your very own scent creation compounded and mixed into a 10mL roll-on bottle of perfume. Other things to note: Avoid wearing strong fragrances to this workshop as it may disrupt yours' and others' olfactory experience.
Rafting en aguas bravas y barbacoa
The White Salmon River flows through a collapsed lava tube coming off Mt. Adams, a designated Wild and Scenic area - it's stunning. Expect to paddle several rapids, the size of the rapids and length of the trip changes with the seasons. Shorter trip length and larger rapids during high water spring time. We'll meet at Northwestern Park just outside of White Salmon WA, across the river from from Hood River. It's an hour and a half from Portland in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. We'll be rafting the White Salmon River, an estuary of the Columbia. After introductions we'll outfit you with a wetsuit, wetsuit booties, helmet and personal floatation device. We'll then take a short van ride to the put in. After an informative river orientation talk we walk down a path to the river, the noise of the rapids ever growing as we descend! Three hours later we'll be back at our cars; Photos of the trip as well as merchandise will be for sale. You may choose to bring a picnic and relax in the park after our trip or check out downtown White Salmon and Hood River. I love this river and sharing the experience and I look forward to seeing you soon! ~Scott Other things to note Your experience may just be your group on a raft with your guide or some new friends may join! Sometimes up to 7 rafts may go depending on who joins that day. We go rain or shine, expect to get wet!

The first 5 minutes of class I will give you a brief tour of Everett Station Lofts. I will then take you upstairs to the my shared art studios loft. You will get access to a local Portland artists’ studio and a chance to see behind the scenes of the artists’ process as well as works in progress. What is unique about this space is all of the residents are practicing artists. It is a great space to get a peek into the Portland art scene. I will start the instruction by explaining the main principles of wheel throwing technique using visual aids. We will then move into the practical instruction. I will instruct you on centering the clay on the wheel, using the coning technique to prep the clay, and finally pulling the clay into its final form. You will have enough time to make between 1-2 pieces depending on what you choose to create. Some great first project ideas include: mug, bowl, etc. You might get muddy! Each students get 1 hour of instruction time. Come with a strong vision in mind or we can create something unique together! The goal of this class is for you to leave with a solid knowledge of beginner wheel throwing technique

Are you ready to embark on an ALL YOU CAN PORTLAND BUFFET through a walking tour featuring LOCAL HOTSPOTS and COOL STORIES? Then I’ve got the adventure for you: THIS TOUR. This walking tour explores where the locals go for Portland's nightlife! I show you the soul of the city by immersing you in its neighborhood culture. This means checking out a neighborhood district, drinking taps from neighborhood breweries, and getting the neighborhood perspective by interacting with someone who lives here! By the end of the walking tour, we’ll have made a mildly-inebriated adventure from seeing why the people of Portland are the attraction of the city. People who find this tour meaningful: 1.
Super low tides Sep 10-12! Film locations: Twilight, Goonies, Point Break! Awesome any weather! See my reviews! We drive west. The city stops and nature begins. Across the valley floor, up the coast range into fog. Thoughts of Bigfoot begin as you marvel at the trees. "So green," you say. Sun beams through the moss and leaves. The air smells like ocean. "you'll want to move to Oregon" ~S The guide tells stories. Volcanoes and floods. Natives tribes and legends of shipwrecks, trappers, loggers, and pioneers. State legacies of women, ethnicities, and Oregon's hidden world influence. "amazing tour guide, driver, and host" ~K A town appears, shingled in natural cedar. Wind spinners, taffy and seafood mix with people, kids, dogs and seagulls. We pass a wooden puffin and park by a secret path. "Haystack Rock," says the guide. You stare, take pics, and walk closer. The endless Pacific waves roll in, rock monoliths line the shore. Beachcombers speckle the sand, holding shoes combing the beach poking flotsam. Kites fly and dogs run with joy. People picnic, sit and stare. "Keep an eye on the ocean," he reminds. A surfer rides. A seal bobs. A distant whale plume by a lighthouse. We find waterfalls, elk, eagle, and gigantic trees. "so glad I chose this tour over others" ~G We travel roundtrip from Portland to Cannon Beach area, 8 hours.
Private ceramic lessons on a peaceful farm
Come and spend a day at a farm and make art! We are a woman owned organic farm located near the Sandy River. We have converted a century old dairy barn into a ceramic studio. Let’s spend the day playing with clay and learning together. Here we have options based around your skill level and interests. I can lead you on the potters wheel or in hand building techniques. For an additional cost of it is possible for me to fire your projects in my kiln and you can choose a glaze color for your finished piece and I will ship them to you. (Kiln fee $25 per person plus shipping) After finishing our projects we can walk around the farm, say hi to some animals and I can offer tips to find great nearby river spots! Please have a look on my IG for more pictures of this experience @sandyriverstudio
Recorrido por el centro con café y donuts
Come walk around the bustling streets of Downtown Portland with your local guide and discover why Portland is the coffee and donut capital of the world! We'll visit several genuinely local craft coffee houses for an interactive look at different styles and flavors of coffee. Plus we’ll munch on a bunch of locally-made donuts from shops you can only find right here in Portland. We like to think this the perfect way to discover Downtown Portland, see where locals get their coffee and donut fix, and have fun! Some things you can expect: - At least three different types of coffee and plenty of donuts at a total of 4-5 different shops. (Reasonable drinking sizes that most coffee drinkers can handle and enjoy.) - Devour several different flavors of classic donuts from a tiny donut shop. - Learn all about coffee and its history, including how coffee's third wave movement started right here in Portland! - Walk around the bustling streets of downtown to discover Portland’s quirkiness and preserved remnants of an historic past. - Learn the technique of brewing the perfect cup of coffee from a barista extraordinaire. - Visit the most unique Portland donut shop and find out why the donuts take 3-days to make. - Stand in Pioneer Courthouse Square and learn all about “Portland’s Living Room”. *We do not visit Voodoo or Blue Star during this tour as they are on the common tourist track.
