It's a lovely cottage in a wonderful area, and the hosts were excellent. They have a chicken coop in the garden that our toddler was fascinated by, and fresh eggs from those chickens for guests, which was a nice touch :)

We had the most wonderful stay at Mr. Brett’s Airbnb! The place was absolutely stunning – peaceful, idyllic, and full of character. Every corner of the home felt special and unique, making it a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Mr. Brett himself was an amazing host. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, while also giving us the privacy to truly unwind and enjoy the space. His warm hospitality really made the experience that much more special. We are already planning our next visit and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a host who truly cares!

This place was absolutely amazing!!! Perfect location and what an amazing cottage we stayed in for the night. They were also very understanding, allowing us to check out later for an additional $50. The breakfast was that was including in price was really good. Although the only thing that got me what that I could see and hear chickens yet the eggs in the fridge that are provided were store brought same as the loaf of bread that was put into a clear plastic bag but other then that I highly recommend this place

We absolutely loved our stay at The Windmill Barn. From the outset Lauretta was an amazing host with great communication and attention to detail which is in full display within the property. Windmill barn is beautifully presented and exceedingly well equipped throughout. It is easy to lose time exploring the barn with so much history on display. The views out past the windmill are borderline ethereal once you've explored inside. If you find yourself looking to endulge another sense grabbing a coffee and heading out back brings auditory charm by way of birdsongs overwhelmingly dominated by Currawongs with the occasional interlude provide by a distant Whipbird. The sense of pure, immersive isolation in nature with the convenience of being 15 minutes away from modern commercial society and central to so many attractions in the area puts The Windmill Barn right at the top of our repeat visit list.

We really enjoyed the stay here as it was peaceful and quiet. Beautiful scenery and the peacocks were a treat. I would definitely recommend a stay at this cottage. It was a pity we could only stay for two nights. Jacqui communicated very effectively and responded to my requests within a few minutes. It was a pleasure dealing with her.

We "overspent" on a 2 bdrm because the location was SO PERFECT. Although a somewhat busy street, it was quiet inside the cottage. Loved having easy access to South Melbourne neighbourhood and the nearby market.

I would describe this house as a cozy wooden cottage in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, just a 5-minute drive from the restaurants in Olinda and Sassafras. It was incredibly quiet, private, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. The space was also generous enough to comfortably accommodate a couple of families. I highly recommend staying here! The hosts were very responsive, supportive, understanding, and genuinely caring, which made our experience even better. In a word: I LOVE IT!

Matilda’s Cottage was a perfect little spot that catered two nights before our wedding and our wedding night. While we are local, I highly reccomend utilising this cosy quiet accommodation. You are not far from gisborne vineyards and town centre and a short drive up the freeway into the Macedon ranges. Take a short drive continuing up benson rd you’ll grab a nice view of the valley. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Pickett's Cottage, it was exactly what we needed when celebrating Christmas and New Year's as a family. Beautiful heritage house, very walkable neighbourhood. Greg was very helpful and able to accommodate our toddler's needs as well. Highly recommend!

Jenny was very responsive and helpful. Getting access was easy and the house and garden was exactly as we expected. Everything was very clean and well equipped. Really had a great time and we hope to book again.

This phenomenal cottage was one of if not THE best cottage stay I’ve ever had in my many years on Airbnb. Staying here felt like such a wonderful dream with all of the small details and private outdoor space to lounge around in. If you’re looking for the perfect getaway stay look no further, this is the one! Pete was also just the best host ever and made us feel right at home. Again just cannot recommend this place enough, 11/10 stay!

I have stayed at Thackeray Cottage a few times. It's a wonderful place... lots of charm... close to local villages... the beach... the CBD. And Alyce is a charming host that makes you feel very welcome.

Diana’s cozy cottage was truly a home away from home. Tucked away on a peaceful, secluded property surrounded by trees, it was the perfect retreat for my partner and I while we attended a wedding in the area. The cottage was well-maintained, the bed was comfy, and despite the scorching 35°C weather during our stay, the air conditioning allowed us to stay cool and comfortable. Diana was a fantastic host, ensuring everything was spotless and well-prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this little gem to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable escape.

We loved our stay here in this private oasis. Quiet and secluded, this getaway into nature to unwind is exactly what you would want away from the business of life. The views, the house and the location is everything you'd want all in one. The artistic attention to detail in the house is also impressive and gives a beautiful touch of nature and artistic flare, that is appealing to the eye and the soul. Sulochis bathhouse is somewhere I would stay again and is somewhere I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to unwind. We were able to get amazing views of the reservoir, the mountains and be in a great location to visit local shops and restaurants. Highly recommend while you stay here that you visit the lolly shop in Olinda, La Lupa Gnocchi Bar Montrose, Burke's Lookout, Storehouse Roastery Olinda and check out the view at SkyHigh. Sulochis communication was great and really cares about her Airbnb which she is passionate about. Thank-you for hosting us. What a beautiful home.

A very comfortable, private and quiet space, with easy access to local cafes and restaurants, public transport to the city and a vibrant community. Charlotte was very responsive and pleasant to communicate with. Great green spaces to walk in.

We absolutely loved our stay at Julie’s place. We read all the positive reviews and looked at the lovely photos - and yet the house and our stay still well surpassed our expectations. Beautiful, comfortable, large character home with a great courtyard in a brilliant location next to Carlisle St, a few minute walk from Balaclava station. The house felt quiet, private and secure. Julie went above and beyond to provide and set up a portacot, highchair, baby bath and change table for us. Also, lots of goodies left for us on arrival and amazing amenities (aircon in every room, comfy beds, washing machine and dryer, tv with lots of streaming options, bbq etc.). We really hope to stay again when we’re next in Melbourne and highly recommend!
