Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

TTC is an artful rendering of home using the character and patina of old barn tin and boards accented with the elegance of finely crafted local woods including cherry, red oak, hickory and black walnut. We are six miles from the attractions of "Viroqua hip" yet nestled in the plain and slow of the Amish with roadside stands cascading produce and pie!

For our fishermen- there is off street parking for your boats.

Dr. Lucy Hobbs the first woman to graduate a dental college in the world had her dental office in this building from 1862-1865! Modern Rustic Family Getaway- Our cabin is not a place to stay while on vacation...our cabin is the vacation! You can come and enjoy the surrounding areas if you want, but you can also just come and spend the entire time away from the outside world. It is a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to just unwind. Located up on a bluff, between Prairie Du Chien and Ferryville, this cabin gets you about 5 minutes from the river but allows you the serenity of being tucked away in the trees.
