Tour original sobre arte urbano por el Montreal menos turístico
We meet in the borough with the highest concentration of artists on the strip where a massive mural festival is held yearly. We're going to be hitting the streets of the Plateau Mont-Royal to check out anywhere between 20 - 30 works of art. The murals range from 2 - 9 storeys tall. We'll be learning about the artists, the message and different techniques as well as about Montreal street art and graffiti scene. We'll take to the smaller back streets and alleyways to cover some hidden gems and just might witness some live work. Here we will discover some installations and different types of guerilla art as well as get to know some of our graffiti writers and crews a bit better. This experience is great for locals, visitors, team building and private groups. Really anyone who likes pretty things and learning about one of the city’s subcultures. At the end of the experience we'll be handing you a list of recommendations for watering holes, local designer shopping, cool art galleries and the best food. The essentials of travel, quoi. Ask your guide to point out other great street art locations to continue on your own.

La Ciudad del Pecado de Montreal
On this tour of Montreal's downtown, we will explore what used to be the Red Light’s district. I'm inviting you to revisit the naughty part of our city’s history. We will look into the crimes scene and the sex work of Montreal from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. The short itinerary will make us pass thru the Chinatown and the entertainment’s district of Montreal, mainly on St-Laurent street and Ste-Catherine street. We will discuss about the impact of the prohibition on our city that led Montreal to be known as the Sin City of the North or the Paris of North America. Among different adult subjects, we will discuss about the drug trade, the gambling industry, sex work, brothel activities and the famous criminals of Montreal. We will also talk about the different morality squads that fought crimes and corruptions that led to the late closing of the Red Light district. We will also observe the transformation that occurred in the entertainment’s district, a still vibrant part of our beloved city. Other things to note We will discuss about the criminality and the sex work that happened in at the beginning of the 20th century . Those subjects might not be suitable for people under the age of 16 years old.

Welcome to Edible Other, a Montreal pop-up devoted to exploring the global food and culinary communities of this incredible city and province. This unique experience is a 5-course tasting menu of dishes inspired by the tastes of Montreal's gastronomic immigrant cultures - a market mix of Asian, Jewish, Caribbean, Italian, Portuguese, or Middle Eastern - personally cooked by a Michelin star-trained chef in a private 1800's-era loft and kitchen. The hosting Chef is an award-winning food writer (Gourmet, Food+Wine) and Doctoral scholar (Oxford University/Press) who has worked with celebrity chefs, James Beard-Award, and Top Chef from the US to Asia-Pacific. The dining site is an apartment in a historic 1800's building in the famous Old Port. There will be an emphasis on Canadian sources of seafood, meat, ethnic inspiration, and cheesemakers. The price includes 5 courses of food. Matching wine/craft beer/cider tastings are priced after initial booking is made.*** Private parties up to 30 can be accommodated at a separate rate.***
Ruta de bares por Le Plateau-Mont-Royal
The objective of this experience is to introduce you to the 4 best bars in the neighborhood, and have fun together. Here I chose bars with different styles, and also bars that are usually missed by the travellers. With this Pub Crawl you'll be able to experience the real Montreal night life outside of the tourist spots. Here's the program : 1) Dieu du Ciel! 2) Les Torchés 3) Clébard 4) Final bar (surprise), my favorite! In short, we'll be able to exprience real local microbrewery beers, nice drinks, nice music, including some live music in 1 bar ; and nice dance floors of course if you feel like it! What is included, in terms of alcohol, is one beer, drink or cider in every bar. And shots of the famous maple syrup liquor are included on the way, of course, because this is a québécois Pub Crawl. I've been hosting this experience for 5 years now, and it is still more and more fun over the years. You can look at the comments below. The first bars are more relaxed for talking and getting to know each other, so I can answer your questions about Montreal and Quebec from my perspective. I host this experience also, so of course I can explain the history of Quebec and Montreal, if you ask about it : https://www.airbnb.ca/experiences/464284
