We'll visit areas west of Tokyo by hopping on the very compact local train. You will find the beautiful Torii gate and deeply forested and beautiful gardens. Walking a path in the Meiji Shrine will make you forget that you are in the central area of Tokyo’s business district. This place is also believed by Japanese that the place is full of positive spiritual energy that warms and fills your heart. At Tsukiji fish market, about 500 street food stalls are waiting for you. But the problem is, many of them serve very similar items! Many food stalls of Oyster, cooked skewered Tuna, Japanese rolled omelet, Mochi stuffed with strawberry. Some of them are wonderful honestly, but some are not so good, not only in quality, but also in quantity, price, and waiting time! And plus, to tell the truth, it's extremely crowded in this area already, then it's difficult to find nice shops. How shall the tourists find the best ones, and hidden ones in Tsukiji? We have explored, tried(tasted) and compared them from completely “neutral” viewpoint, and selected the best street food stalls! And plus, if you have chance to come to Tokyo Tsukiji fish market all the way from your country, we hope that you don’t leave without visiting nice tourist spots around the market. Tsukiji is located the “center zone” of Tokyo city, and some nice tourist spots are near to the market. As the professional tour guides, we would like to take you there. I meet with guests at Gotokuji Station of Odakyu Line from Shinjuku Station (15 min). The highlight of this tour is visiting Setagaya's most famous historic center. First, we walk to Gotokuji Temple, which is built in the late 15th century and famous for beckoning cat as well as family graves of Ii-Family who played an important role of Tokugawa Shogunate in Edo Era (17th to 19th century) . I explain the history of the temple and the background why this temple becomes famous for beckoning cat. Then, we walk to Setagaya Hachimangu Shrine which started in the late 11th century. Shrine is a facility of Japan's native religion "Shinto". This shrine is the biggest one in Setagaya-City and famous for dedicated sumo wrestling starting in 11th century. I explain the types of Shrines and the features of them. Besides, I explain the history and uniqueness of this shrine. Then, we walk to another temple, Shokoin Temple, the family temple of Setagaya Kira Family who ruled this district from 15th to 17th century. As the last visiting spot, we move to Setagaya Magistrate Mansion built in Edo Era that is only one remined in Tokyo Metropolitan. Thus, guests can learn how this area was historically developed as the center of Setagaya City and enjoy quiet and sacred atmosphere.

Let's explore the food wonderland of Tsukiji Outer Market and enjoy sampling some delicious food. I will give you a brief introduction to the outer market, which is like a labyrinth. There are about 400 shops, so it's difficult to understand what is happening and to find the good ones by yourself. We will also explore the backstreets of the outer market, and I will make recommendations and introduce you to my friends. After this experience, you may continue enjoying Tsukiji Outer market by yourself—shopping, eating, and more. Please be advised that many local spots only accept cash. [REMARKS] Tsukiji inner market (Wholesale market) was closed on 6th Oct. 2018. But Tsukiji outer market is not moved. Our tour is exploring Tsukiji outer market so we could continue this tour. Let’s become sushi master by spending a half day with sushi chef! This tour consists of two part. First, we will see around Tsukiji fish market where I will explain how each fish differ. Also I will explain a bit about how to make soup with kelp and dried bonito. Second part is, you will experience sushi making, you can make your own sushi!
