Very friendly host and great place to stay! It has a konbini 2 minutes walking from the house and also supermarkets within 10 minutes.

大人2名と犬1匹で利用させていただきました。 建具や調度品などが素晴らしく、設備や家電、リネン類や部屋着なども気持ちが良く、とても快適にくつろぐことができました。 また、ペット用の備品は、事前の確認で教えていただいた内容より、はるかに充実したものでしたし、犬もドッグランや家の中を楽しんでいました。 こちらからの質問にもすぐに答えていただけ、広い建物内やお庭も清潔に保たれていて申し分のない宿です。

My second stay with Tomoyuki since two years ago. Everything went beautifully as expected. The weather was not cooperating on one of the four days but that allowed me to stay in to enjoy this vintage tradition home and felt the tranquility it presented itself on a rainy day. The hike nearby was kimochīi (feeling great). The izakayas recommended were subarashī (wonderful). Tomo introduced me to spend a day at Mashiko. The famous pottery town was preparing for the upcoming Golden Week event and I appreciated "the calm before the storm" time strolling the quiet town. Some keepsakes were bought. I look forward to another visit soon, maybe in a different season to appreciate the range of activities available around the area.

We absolutely loved the place as it was super private, had a cosy and comfortable environment. The host was extremely sweet, polite, responsive and cooperative as she helped us to get our luggages from the nearest train station and we were so grateful to her and her husband. The house has a homely vibe and it's a perfect escape from the city lights and tall buildings. Would definitely recommend this place for people who are looking to run away from the busy streets and just enjoy the silent life in this countryside part. :)

Perfect getaway to experience authentic Japanese countryside life! If you’re looking to stay in a traditional Japanese house in the countryside, this is the perfect place. The house is beautifully renovated and full of traditional Japanese charm, featuring an engawa (veranda), tatami rooms, and intricate ranma (wooden transom panels). There’s even a dedicated office area, making it ideal for remote work as well. Sumi is a wonderful host — very welcoming and kind! She recommended many great places for us to visit. We explored a small local shrine with a natural spring, a fish market, a seaside onsen, a pottery workshop, and many more. We completely fell in love with Ibaraki!
