Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure. Experience the waters off Key Largo as a local during this 3 hour tour in the mangroves off Key Largo. Kayak through crystal clear waters as we learn about the mangroves and their importance to the ecosystem of the Florida Keys. Learn about the birds, fish, turtles, and manatees that frequent these areas. For those that are interested snorkel through some of the tour as you experience the world under the mangroves as well (snorkel equipment is required)

You will meet me at Blu Q the sailing catamaran to the left of the Dock Masters office. We will depart from the dock located at the Historic Seaport. We will head out on the water to an area which provides a year round home for about 200 wild Bottlenose Dolphins. This is my moment to share the wonders of these marine mammals with you, while always operating my vessel in a manner that is safe and respectful of the dolphins and their need for space. With the right know-how I can usually find dolphins in under an hour and in calm waters. After observing the dolphins many different behaviors from the boat we will head to one of my favorite spots to snorkel with sponges, coral heads or a patch reef. I will take you to the best place with the best visibility that day. My mate will be your guide, leading you around a calm snorkeling spot and point out animals that make our ecosystem unique and answer any questions that you have. Check in at the HONEST ECO boat Blu Q. If you are driving down the keys the day of the trip just remember it is a road that is only one way in and one way out. One accident on that road can hold you up for the day. We do not issue refunds if you miss the boat. It is best to ride a bike in Key West or take a cab. Lastly, the marina parking lot is around $20 to $30 for the day. It can fill up in the afternoons please plan accordingly! Thank you!

Let our guide take you on a 90 minute adventure around the entire island. This 27-mile exploration is a feast for the eyes and senses. We'll make several stops along the way, checking out all of the best known attractions the island has to offer. And hopefully, we will encounter our local dolphins and sea turtles along the way!

Welcome to Blue Moon Kayak Key West! Once you are checked in each person will get instruction on how to kayak and we will go over the layout of our route for the experience. Once we are ready we will launch from Floating docks. Our Kayaks are very stable with nice back rests to support you through out the trip. We cross Cow Key Channel and go West into the Center of Key West where we will show you how to navigate the Mangrove Mazes into the Salt ponds. All the while you will get to see Iguanas, Parrot Fish, Barracuda, Small Sharks, Night Crown Herons, Great Blue Herons, White Herons, Green Herons and more! Learn about the history and culture of Key West while we take in all the nature. We will end at our starting location. Other things to note: If there are high winds or Lightning the trip may be delayed or rescheduled. Your guide will determine safety for the trip. We will still go if there is just rain. We also provide alternate routes along the North side of Stock Island if necessary to avoid the elements.

Check in is at the boat at 9:10 am This is a 6 hour trip on the water! We will begin this HONEST ECO experience on a spacious 42' sailing catamaran. With 1,092 Square Feet of deck space, plenty of room to relax. We will depart from the dock located at the Historic Seaport. Sail out to a mangrove island that we can only reach in a shallow draft boat. You will learn about our Key West ecosystem as you Kayak through Mangrove Islands. We will explore the distinct habitats of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge and learn about our diverse animals and plants We will head to another one of my favorite spots to snorkel on the reef, coral heads or a sponge garden. I will take you to the best spot with the best visibility that day. My mate will be your guide, leading you around a calm snorkeling spot. I will point out animals that make our ecosystem unique and answer any questions. I will provide a lunch spread from our favorite organic cafe Date and Thyme. Located in the heart of the FL Keys, Caribbean Kayaking Tours leads guest off the shores of the City of Marathon in to the amazing waters of the N. Caribbean. Come adventure with us as we paddle under native mangrove canopies, over secluded salt water flats, and investigate the animals that call this area home. Other things to note Dress to get wet, and look forward to a fun paddle adventure on the water.

We'll head out to the lower Florida Keys back-country where we'll fish for a variety of species such as Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Shark, Barracuda, Snapper, Sea Trout and a plethora of others in the gin clear waters of the shallows and flats. There will only be the three of us so you'll have a personalized guided trip and my undivided attention whether your asking questions about our unique ecosystem and its surroundings or the techniques and equipment we'll be using to stalk and catch fish on the most fertile and pristine fishing grounds on planet Earth! We'll typically be fishing depths of two feet to eight feet deep so the visual experience is like nowhere else in the continental United States. Once we finish our excursion you'll be brought back to our original departure point and you can enjoy some some excellent island eats and tropical cocktails like the locals do at the famous Looe Key Tiki Bar & Grill on Ramrod Key. There's also a gift shop on property so you can pick up some souvenirs for yourself, friends or family members! I host a special experience that welcomes guests onto my boat to take them out to catch lobster at night using a method called "Bully Netting". It is a great way to get everyone involved in the fun using special nets (bully nets) from the safety of the boat. While we are gliding over the flats looking for lobster it is easy to get distracted by the shear beauty of all the sea life like sea turtles and fish swimming freely over the beautiful grass flats illuminated by specialized underwater lights! I will coach you through how to use the nets so you or your group can do all the catching. Sometimes we get lucky have the chance to catch certain species of fish or crabs while looking for lobster. All While having an amazing view of the Miami skyline from the surrounding waters. At the end of the trip you can take your catch back to your stay and cook it up or have it cooked at a local restaurant and enjoy fresh seafood that you just caught yourself. All trips start at sunset and last up to 5 hours.

The waters of downtown Key West have great history surrounding them. You can still hear echoes of past parties and festivals on our turquoise waters. The Rum Runner shares these stories for you when you ask, or just enjoy the views without any work. On the Rum Runner you will stop at the only downtown public beach. Simonton Beach. On the Crystal clear waters you will see downtown, historic harbor, great sunset viewing areas, Mallary Square, Sunset Key, the dolphin playground, and a 120 year old shipwreck next to Christmas Tree Island. Enjoy a beautiful Key West sunset while sailing on our 42' Sailing Catamaran. It has over 1000 feet of deck space. We will provide light snacks, water and a cooler. It is BYOB (Bring your own Adult Beverages) We will be searching for dolphins as we enjoy the sail. We watch dolphins by day so we are pretty good at finding them. You will also get to enjoy fresh organic fruit, veggies and hummus from our favorite local organic cafe, Date and Thyme. Sailing, the original form of renewable energy transportation! I am on a mission to spread the value of conservation and I think amazing nature experiences with a knowledgeable biologist is the best way to do that! Join us for a clear kayaking adventure through the untouched beauty Sugarloaf Key’s waterways, a part of the Florida Key’s National Marine Sanctuary and tropical paradise with unique marine habitats! Your knowledgeable ecotour guide will welcome you and provide brief paddling and safety instructions. Then, you’ll be loaded into your tandem clear kayak and we will guide you along a 2 to 2.5 hour adventure! Your tour guide will lead your across open seagrass flats, through a secluded maze of mangrove tunnels, and navigate around mangrove islands and sand flats! Along the way they will point out wildlife, share their knowledge of these unique ecosystems and their inhabitants, and take plenty of photos! While paddling be sure to lookout for a variety of starfish, tropical fish, nurse sharks, iguanas, egrets, and more! Don’t forget to look through your clear kayak for a unique view of the ecosystems that are underwater! Chances are that you’ll see a variety of wildlife, but sightings are random and not guaranteed.

This tour is one that at the end -- you can linger and enjoy where we are, go back to a spot along the path, or I can point you in a direction to continue the fun -- heck I might join too!! It is all about enjoying the Seas, the Sun, having some Sips, and learning the unique history of our island, the landmarks, the people while exploring and enjoying.
