A place where we can cycle to the 2000 years old buddist civilisation,

The Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali is grossly unexplored. The 87 sqkm of Forest land, which is the main Lung of Mumbai has arterial road and offer trekking and cycling to tourists. We cycle to unexplored and remote areas in the National park, sit and relax by a stream, then cycle 7 kms inside the Park through the lush greenery to 2000 years old buddist settlements, where i shall narrate to you interesting stories and cultural traditions of the buddist settlements of that mysterious era. Its going to an engrossing trek that you are bound to revel in. On our return I shall escort you to my Borivali Home thats at a stones throe from the entrance to the Park. At my home you shall savour delicious Aunthetic Indian cuisine prepared by my mother. You can also learn the art of preparing Indian dishes with hands on experience and then savour those. All in all, an experience that you shall cherish in nostalgia, when you backtrack in footprints of Time.

I had the best day ever with Anuj on this bike tour. I was fortunate to be able to combine the bike tour with the cooking class hosted by his wonderful mother, Meena. The entire day could not have been a more splendid or welcoming experience. From the moment I arrived I was welcomed with an amazing breakfast, Anuj provided water, a good bike with fresh air in the tires, and made sure I had the proper address to get there via Uber. The bike ride from the apartment to the national park is a bit tricky, and if you are not comfortable biking with the cars and in traffic, I suggest maybe walking through this few blocks before getting on the road that leads to the park. Also no one in India wears helmets, so know that if that is a safety concern for you. The bike path and ride in the park is very safe and peaceful. Anuj is an excellent source of knowledge about the Buddhist history of the caves and of India in general. I learned so much from him! He is also a great photographer and I had a blast taking photos throughout the park together. I purchased and tasted fruit from the native tribal people in the park and got to get up close to many friendly monkeys. We even stopped at a beautiful serene creek and rested a bit after the ride. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! If you like to bike, enjoy nature, and want to experience something very unique in Mumbai you should definitely go on this experience - it was a truly amazing day! Thank you Anuj!

Anuj was great. The trip to Kanheri was really fun and we all enjoyed cycling in the park. Anuj treated us to a delicious breakfast and lunch and it was fabulous meeting his charming parents.

Anuj is passionate about his topic of Hindu / Buddhist history. I enjoyed the active bike riding to experience the park more fully and challenge of riding Bombay’s streets! Anuj has a lot to share about the history of the site. His mother and father showed warm hospitality at beginning of the trip with cup of tea and chat. Anuj mother has studied ancient history and Anuj working on a unesco. qualification.

Best Mumbai experience on Airbnb. A relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. A really great trip, and wonderful home cooked lunch. You won't regret booking this.

We enjoyed hanging out with Anuj so much that we actually booked this one after we already did another tour with him in Mumbai a few days earlier. Oh yah, and then even booked with his mother for some delicious home cooked food! First off, just skip the touristy overpriced Elephant Caves you’ll hear about. Save yourself money and book this experience!!! It’s sooo much better seeing 20x more here plus an awesome guide and food vs the ferry ride, long hike, tons of touristy crap and ppl selling you stuff up the mountain to see barely anything on the Elephant Caves. Trust me, go to this experience and you’ll have a much better time. If you’re looking for the history, if you’re looking to hear and learn from a lot of stories, be sure to go to some of Anuj’s experiences. We also loved hanging out at his place and enjoying time with he and his mother. Very warm and welcoming. The food...OMG I’m sad we had to leave, I’m already ready for more food right now. Anuj is lucky he gets this amazing food from his mother...

A very special experience. You get home-cooked breakfast and lunch (from is mum), you get to cycle through the national park (leaving the smog and chaos of mumbai behind) and the buddhist caves are truly astonishing. Would definitely recommend
