Hello Travellers,
My name is Matt, and I will be your tour guide! I'm originally from Melbourne, Australia and for the last five years I've been calling Berlin home. Having been a tour guide in Australia I bring several years of guiding experience with me to ensure you have a memorable tour!
After studying international politics and serving in the Australian Army for 8 years, I developed a strong passion for WWII and military history.
Furthermore I like exploring the back roads and unlocking a destination's secrets. Berlin is a city of many layers, so please join me as we pull back the curtain in this wonderful city.

Matthew’s level of knowledge about Berlin between the two world wars is thoroughly solid and impressive; this could be said of many history guides, but Matt was special at delivering all this with such engaging language, such precise details, involving the three of us in the most compelling sequence of time and stories and thrilling questions answered on the very spots which made history. We loved every second of Matt’s tour- and it was a cold rainy day- but we would’t feel it because of how good Matthew was- and not only because he gave us ponchos and warmers. Definitely recommended to all, including families!!

Matthew has such a wealth of knowledge, we learnt so much in 4 hours. Very friendly, fast talking, well worth the money and gave a great insight into the history of war time Germany.

I highly recommend Matt as a tour guide. He brings a tremendous amount of knowledge on the subject of WWII as well as the context leading up to and following the War. He also treats the material with the respect it deserves. Matt is very personable and went above and beyond expectations to ensure we had the best experience possible.

This is a tour that is well worth doing. So much history in such a small space and all wonderfully brought to life by Matthew. Our group consisted of two English speakers and my wife’s family from Brazil, who have no English. My wife had to translate for them. This took longer than expected and delayed the tour, yet Matthew showed great patience and forbearance. A gentleman, and a great tour.
