Qué harás

I'll be taking you behind the scenes on our 36' ZODIAC adventure boat, quite literally California's fastest whale watching platform. This is a 2 hour long trip with the purpose of finding whales and dolphins. The boat is captained by the owner of the company, founded in 2014 as the first small boat whale watching experience in Newport Harbor. And this is a big, small boat. The spacious ZODIAC is the biggest version they make. It has seating for up to 21, but takes only 15 passengers maximum; my groups have exclusive access to the captain and our own seats in the shade. Not only will you get to see wild ocean animals closer than any other boat, you'll see how a professional wildlife photographer uses his camera, launches a drone from the boat, and most importantly what settings to use to get your own great photos. At speeds over 30 miles per hour, we sometimes get to cover over 30 miles of ocean in just two hours. It's truly an adventure, and one that I will document for you. I will be sharing my photos and drone shots with you when we return to the dock.

Mark

Hi, I'm Mark! My passion for the outdoors leads me to the ocean every weekend, where I am the staff photographer and drone pilot aboard our 36' Zodiac adventure boat. I've been photographing whales, dolphins, sea lions, sharks and pretty much anything that swims out of Newport Beach, every weekend, for the past 5 years. You can find my work in National Geographic, Huffington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS, The Weather Channel and many more. My particular interest is in helping marine scientists by taking photographs of identifying markings of whales and sea lions.

Dónde estarás

Our two hour trip starts in Newport Harbor, where incredible homes fetch prices upwards of 20 million dollars on a regular basis. Inside the harbor we also will sometimes make our first sightings of sea lions. Once we get outside the harbor, anything goes! We will go anywhere we can to find you dolphins and whales. Lastly, we have a sea lion encounter up close, a great spot for you to get a "sealfie"!
