Qué harás

An unforgettable, educational experience visiting the unique glow worms after a short walk through World Heritage listed forest and rainforest. We will meet at sunset, spending a little time introducing ourselves and safety briefing.
Then as the stars begin to appear, with the use of torches, we will begin our 20 minute walk to the overhanging cave and waterfall, with the possibility of seeing our amazing nocturnal wildlife. Possums, gliders, owls and bats to name just a few. Another truly amazing encounter, only within the first 3 weeks of summer is the chance of fireflies. We will spend 30 minutes to an hour in the overhang, behind the waterfall learning about these incredible glowing larvae and why they glow.
The track is mostly in good condition, though there are some stairs and heavily eroded sections therefore a medium fitness level is required.
Glow worms are extremely sensitive to light and sound so we will ask our clients to respect this and there will be a 5 minute educational talk around this before entering the cave. Smoking is strictly prohibited on this tour. We recommend bringing your own torches, though we can supply if needed.
Minimal impact is very high on our list of priorities and instructions will be given on how to achieve this. We ask our clients to adhere to these rules.

Dónde estarás

Hazelbrook is lovely small town in the heart of the mid mountains, 20 mins drive from the iconic tourist destination Katoomba. Your own transport is preferable for this tour but not necessary.
We will stop to look for nocturnal wildlife along the track and arrive into a beautiful overhanging cave with a small waterfall.

Magical experience viewing the Glowworms, and Jamie's enthusiasm for the subject it infectious. Much more to see along the route to the cave, with Jamie's keen eye pointing things out we would have missed. We certainly came away 'enlightened' (poor pun I know) with knowledge of the Blue Mountains. Highly recommend this experience.

Incredibly fun and educational bushwalk. Jamie’s passion for the outdoors is contagious as he guides you through the history of the landscape and all it’s creatures with funny anecdotes to keep you interested. The Glow worms, magical as they were, are only a portion of the trip - encountering and engaging with native flora and fauna make the experience truly worthwhile. Thank you Jamie for an incredible time!

Highly recommend this tour!! Very informative, learnt so much about glow worms and the outdoors which was awesome. Such a story teller. He’s had a lot of experience when it comes to the outdoors. Jamie made us feel safe the whole time. Had bunch of fun and laughs. The trek and seeing the glow worms was just the most stunning experience. Jamie offered to pick me from the train station which was so nice, as I was travelling on my own without a car. The track was easy enough for beginners and you get head lamps to see! Thanks Jamie

Jamie was awesome! Super knowledgeable about all things nature, I think we enjoyed the walk there even more than the glow worms! Highly recommend.

This is the second time I've been on the tour, this time I brought my young son who (despite being exhausted by the end of it - long day) said he had a great time. Jamie is enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable, and has a great way with kids in particular. The glowworms do not disappoint. So beautiful. This is a rare experience and I feel privileged to have seen them. Thanks so much Jamie.
