Qué harás

I will take you to a local restaurant area opposite of Minato Mirai, where there are locals enjoying the dinner. We will enjoy restaurant hopping like Yakitori, Sushi, Ramen, etc. for a couple of hours. Since my background is Japanese, restauranteur, and cooking instructor, I can show and tell you a lot about food. I'm a pro cook and have been teaching for years in the US! We will meet at Sakuragicho station in Yokohama. We will walk to Noge area where locals enjoy dinner and drinks. We will walk around the area and hop some restaurants including Yakitori, Sushi, and Ramen. At each location, I will explain: 1. history of the food 2. how to make them 3. how to enjoy them (customs) Especially Ramen and Sushi, I teach how to make Ramen and Sushi while I'm in San Francisco (1/3 of a year) so I have tons of knowledge. Other than the restaurant hopping, I offer Tea ceremony only (https://bit.ly/2JSX8CW), before this tour and a combination of tea and food (https://bit.ly/2qohA7J) in Japan and Ramen (sushi, and other Japanese food) cooking class in SF (https://bit.ly/2JUqDEy) Plan your whole day in Yokohama area! Before coming to join me for Noge Restaurant hopping, you can visit Ramen Museum in Shin-Yokohama, or enjoy Minato Mirai bay area at Sakuragicho including Cup Noodle museum where you can create your own version of cup noodles.

I live in two of the best places in the world: the San Francisco and Tokyo Bay Areas. I'm a professional Japanese chef in SF who is licensed and has experience running restaurants serving Ramen, Sushi, etc. My restaurant was named Top 100 by the SF Chronicle and a Top 6 Izakaya in the US by Bon Appetit. I've been teaching super popular "how to make Ramen" class in San Francisco for 5+ years and "how to make Sushi" for 15+ years, which was highlighted in Sunset magazine. Now that I stay in Japan longer period, I’ve decided to create events to showcase where I grew up to my guests and followers. I want to show you fun, traditional activities and cuisine including tea ceremony, Ramen, Sushi, and more. The tours are in English, and I promise to take you where not too many visitors can explore. Let’s roam the backroads together!

Noge is an old restaurant and bar area in Yokohama, kind of like Shinjuku. Recently, it is highlighted and a lot more young locals and visitors hung out. Very different from Minato Mirai area where it is built after the World Expo, it is located on the opposite side of the rail tracks. There are a lot of traditional Izakaya, Yakitori, Sushi, Ramen and more. You will learn about the city, food, how to make it and anything you can think of!
