Hachi Tour
This tour will take you through the quiet back streets along narrow side roads and through the charming neighborhoods of Nagoya's Kita, Higashi and Naka wards, visiting local historic temples and shrines as well as a chance to visit a turn of the century Japanese home. This tour really highlights daily Japanese life as you cycle through the neighborhoods giving you glimpses of the real Japan. We will stop along the way for local street snacks and sweets.
Tour Highlights: Tokugawa-en, Tokugenji, Kenchuji, Nagoya Cultural Path Futaba, Katayama Shrine and Amagasaka Slope

Having lived in Nagoya for over 15 years and cycling through the city every day, I have found it to be full of amazing back streets full of historic and picturesque temples and shrines. I love to share the amazing colors of Japan taking you through cherry blossom covered roads in spring and brilliant Japanese maples in the fall. I want to share the real Japan and daily life and sights of Nagoya with my guests and provide them with a great time and wonderful memories.

We start off riding through the narrow pre-war roads of Kita ward in the Osugi--cho neighborhood before making our way towards Tokugawa-en and Tokugenji Temple then on to Kenchuji Temple which is the largest wooden structure in the city. After that, we move on to the historic Chikaramachi area and the beautiful Showa era and Meiji era homes of Nagoya's aristocrats. We will then make our way back along the ancient Kiso Highway to Kurokawa.
