I have trained in swift water rescue, and am a recreational river kayaker on the Kern in the San Joaquin Valley. Navigate Los Angeles' hidden waterway in a truly unique way: kayak it! It's about a 2.5 mile journey. Bird watch- see a great blue heron, osprey, snow egrets, and cormorants; learn about the flora - hemlock, cattail, willow; and engage in conversation about the history and up-coming plans the city has for the LA River. Tandem Kayak for 2 guests. PFDs (life jacket) and two paddles. Drinking water provided as backup in case you forget your reusable water bottle.

Dónde estarás

Start at the official Sepulveda Basin Rec. point of entry and continue along the river's flora and fauna, viewing birds along the way. See osprey, cormorant, and a great blue heron. We'll stop for an educational talk at the "Little Grand Canyon" and end at The Tillman Water Recreation Plant source.
