Run down miners apartment. Looks like it's about to fall down on the outside. Looks a little nicer on the inside.
This is 1 unit of a 3 unit mobile home, set up as studio apartments. It was built for the miners who needed cheep housing during the '60s and '70s. The other two units are storage and a workshop.
Ghost hunters once described Goldfield NV as the fifth most haunted town in America. Our ranking may have slipped, but we are still have our ghosts.
  • It's amazing. The small Hut is great. It's charming, unique und clean. The City gas so much history, and Richard is a Smart and helpful host..

  • Richard is a genial host, and is very knowledgeable about the town and its history. For those looking for a taste of slum living, you can find it here.

    Christopher2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Didn’t need a fancy place, just privacy, a bed and a shower at an affordable price. This worked out perfectly, had the place to myself and Richard was a great host!

    Sashim2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • From the outside you might worry that the Big Bad Wolf could blow this place down, but it’s actually very solid, cozy, and clean on the inside. Richard was an absolutely fantastic host, who made the stay in Goldfield so memorable and fun! I can’t wait to come back and stay here again for more adventures. Come for the affordable price and allure of a funky town to explore, but stay for the fabulous hospitality and comfortable stay at the Goldfield Slums!

    Allyson2019-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Richard is an amazing host. He gave us tips on where to go and what to see, and even gave us a tour of a historic building. The apartment was cute and the kitchen was stocked - it even has some gluten free options. We will definitely come back.

    Brittaney2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky stay in a quirky place. Richard very friendly as were the locals we met. Plenty of space and pretty well equipped too. Recommended.

    Annwyn2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We got in quite late. Richard was very gracious and helpful when we thought we were running out of gas 30 miles from his place. His place isn’t a slum! It’s decent, and the way a lot of people live, due to their economic circumstances. It has some nice decorations, a comfortable bed, and a well-equipped kitchen. Thanks, Richard!

  • Fun little town with soooooo much history. Jeri's place is still growing but very cute and comfortable. How to be back

    Cydney2018-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing. Room was very comfortable and clean. Everything about it was just awesome. Jeri, the owner is one of the nicest people ever.

  • Clean, old-west style room at a great price with courteous and friendly hosts: what's NOT to like? Highly recommend you stay here when in western Nevada!

  • Perfect spot to stop between our drive from Vegas to Yosemite. If you’re passing through Goldfield is a town you just stop in. Interesting history and a great small town feel. Jeri’s place is fantastic, she seems to be trying to build a set of guest houses to reintroduce tourists back into the town. Really comfortable, clean and quiet. She has a wealth of knowledge about the town and places to visit. Be aware the town has very little in food options or fuel ( nearest being 25-30 miles away ) the local saloon offered food ( pizza ) and drink. It’s only a 10 minute walk from Jeri’s. If you get a chance to stop here, do.

    Daniel2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jeri's place is truly special; the perfect mix of comfort and style. The bed is super comfy and the place has modern amenities and thoughtful touches. Be sure to check out the attached store and ask your host about what to do in the area. Goldfield may seem like a small town but it's well worth stopping for a night!

    Hadley2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really quaint and beautifully restored cabin. Jerri was very helpful and lots of local knowledge. Would just suggest providing coffee as there was nothing open in Goldfield on a Sunday. Highly recommend a visit.

    Debbie2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute room with great location when traveling through from state to state. Jeri was very easy to communicate with, a great place especially for solo female travelers. I absolutely recommend her place and would definitely stay there again.

    Carolyn2018-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The Goldfield Stop Inn is a delightful find in the city of Goldfield. The studio room was equipped with a kitchenette so I was able to “eat in” for dinner. I really appreciated in room coffee. The decor both interior and exterior is charming. Jeri’s photographs of local places and scenes add special meaning to the room decor. Don’t hesitate to stay here-it is great.

The Crib is the perfect choice for your stay in Goldfield! It's a unique unit, full of charm, with an original Goldfield antique bed and a sink from the haunted Goldfield Hotel! *Room tax will be collected at check in* Please note: We do have Wifi but our service is spotty.
The Crib has an original Goldfield antique bed with a handmade quilt. This unit was moved here from the "Red Light" district. It has been modified to be as comfortable as possible while keeping the old-time feel. You'll also find a microwave and mini-fridge in the bedroom for your convenience. The bathroom for this unit was moved here from Fallon, NV and was an old gas station office. Thus, it is detached from the Crib and accessible via a boardwalk between the two buildings (see images). The bathroom is private just to you, and has an old miner feel to it with an original sink from the haunted Goldfield Hotel!
Goldfield is a place where history and adventure truly collide to make a perfect weekend getaway! One can't describe Goldfield... Its history is extensive, its beauty unique. • This is a must for your stay in Goldfield. Not only is it extremely historic and has such a cool story behind it, the owners make it an even better experience. We stayed in The Crib and what a cool looking little cabin!! We had such a great time exploring the area and loved the town. The hospitality of the owners is astonishing and they really go above and beyond in an incredible way. Will make this a destination again and will recommend to others.

    Nicholas2018-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with such great history!

    Bente2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second year in a row that we have stayed at The Crib. The cabin is very clean and the detached private bathroom connected to the cabin by a deck, was very clean. There was a refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning and a wonderfully comfortable bed. In the evening you can sit out on the deck and see all the stars you miss in larger towns and cities. Jeri had lots of tips to offer about Goldfield days. We especially liked the old Goldfield School tour. Jeri's store next door is neat, The Dinky Dinner is great for eating out and there are a number of shops to go through. Everywhere you go, you learn a little of the history of Goldfield. The people of Goldfield are also very friendly and helpful with lots of tips as well. If you want to stay in a nice place, right in town, this is the place to stay.

    John2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Crib and it had this amazing ambiance and retro homey feeling like you’re staying in a bygone era with subtle modern amenities. We truly enjoyed the story of the cabin and adventure of the separate bath for the one night we were there but will probably choose to stay in one of the more traditional rooms next time just because of the convenience of not having to leave your room to shower or use the restroom. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Jeri’s an attentive hostess that truly cares about the comfort of her guests. We will definitely be back!!

  • Goldfield, Nevada is one of those unheard-of places in the country that really took us by surprise. We booked this Airbnb with zero expectations and are hopefully planning a second trip soon! Jeri's place was so cozy and had such a unique design. We could tell she put a lot of time into making this the neatest antique-inspired stay and we loved every minute of our experience. Everything about this place was 100% meant to reflect the history of the town and rustic ambiance necessary for a trip to this little ghost town. Don't miss it! Book it NOW and you will not regret it.

    Marissa2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at the “crib,” one of 4 available rooms. It is an old prostitute’s cabin, relocated from the red light district in the old mining town. It is updated with electricity and electric heat. No running water or bathroom in the cabin though. To get that you have to go outside on a boardwalk to the shack next door, which is also exclusively dedicated to your stay. We really enjoyed the history and ambiance of the crib, but those preferring running water and a bathroom in the cabin may want to book one of Jeri’s other cabins. If we came again, we would again choose the crib. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

  • Cosy rooms in a wonderfull theme. Jeri and her husband are very kind. We had a great stay!

  • Highly recommended, our room had no problems whatsoever...Jeri is very helpful and knowledgeable about the interesting history of Goldfield...we suggest you contact her about the great tour she offers of the historical high school and/or hotel. She really cares about her guests as well as reviving the Goldfield community. Thanks, Jeri!

Are there ghosts in Goldfield? We don't know, but you can investigate for yourself. Meanwhile enjoy the peace and quiet, the clean air, the wildlife and the stargazing. It's a clean, quiet, comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house that can accommodate 5 people. It's on the way to everything: Yosemite, Death Valley, Mammoth, Las Vegas or Lake Tahoe! The sights of historic Goldfield are a bonus!
Clean, quiet, modern, comfortable house in historic Goldfield, Nevada. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, deck and yard. Maximum of 5 people. A baby under 1 year can be a 6th. Pets are allowed, though you must bring all pet supplies and do any pet-related cleanup. It's on the way to everything: just 2 hours from Death Valley; 3 hours from Yosemite; 2 hours from Mammoth Lakes; 3 hours from Las Vegas; 4 hours from Lake Tahoe. The elevation is 5,600 feet so it's cooler here. The sights of historic Goldfield are a bonus! Private deck in back with view of the historic gold mining district of Goldfield, Nevada. Grill with picnic table and chairs on deck. Full kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer. Central air conditioning and heating. Pet friendly. The yard is fenced and your dog may stay in the yard during the day - though there is wildlife at night and you should keep your pet indoors after dark. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 5. A high chair is available a no extra charge. The maximum number of people is 5. A baby under 1 year can be a 6th, but there is no crib. Stargazing in Goldfield is excellent on a clear night with no moon. Bring your telescope (and warm jacket, as nights can be chilly, even in the summer). Goldfield is at an elevation of 5,600 feet and is typically 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. You can take tours of the historic district or the mining areas, shop for antiques or unique collectibles, hike, go off-roading or even pan for gold! Goldfield is a remote location, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, but easy to get to - U.S. Highway 95, the main road between Las Vegas and Reno, goes right through Goldfield. It is the halfway point between Las Vegas and the east entrance of Yosemite (Tioga Pass).
The town is known for its peace and quiet. Get away from hustle and bustle of the cities to relax and enjoy the tranquil silence. Stargazing at night is at the world-class level, with 7,000 stars visible on a clear night. This house is located just 3 blocks from the historic downtown core of Goldfield, Nevada, site of America's last gold rush and the world's greatest gold camp. The world-famous Goldfield Hotel, believed to be the residence of over 100 ghosts, is an easy 5-block walk from the house. You're welcome to live it up at the hotel, as long as you are dead. Since the end of World War II, only ghosts are allowed into the hotel. Also nearby is the haunted Goldfield High School, the historic and beautiful court house building, a 105-year-old saloon, and many other historic sites and buildings. Pick up a free walking tour booklet from the Goldfield Historical Society. A basic guide to Goldfield is in the house for you, and a DVD about the history of the area is here for you to watch.
  • Bob was super welcoming and professional. The little house is amazing, probably the nicest house in the old gold digger town. Goldfield is perfect to break down the trip from Yosemite to Las Vegas in half. The home has all necessary amenities including wifi and a full kitchen. I would give 6 stars if I could. Very recommendable.

  • I've stayed in quite a few airbnbs and Bob was by far the best host I've had. Bob was super friendly, extremely helpful, and had the house well furnished and stocked. He also provided a great list of all the fun little attractions to do around the area, like the historic cemetery and the car forest. The house is very comfortable and the pictures provided are very accurate to the accommodations. We loved Goldfield and everyone there was super friendly during our four day stay. Make sure to stop by the Dinky Diner, the Hoist House Tavern, and go check out Jody and Malek's wares at the Elite Trading Post.

  • Amazing, cozy house with everything you need and more. Bob is a great host and helps you with everything. I can highly recommend it to everybody.

    Juliane2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Bob was wonderful! He had lots of info on area excursions and interesting things to see. He met us with the key and had left by homemade cookies for us to snack on, which was awesome after a long trip. Bob's place was convenient to town. Bob was very quick to respond to any questions we had. His home was a perfect place for our trip with our In Laws!

    Cindy2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Bob's house is probably the nicest house you could find in Goldfield. First, it's super clean and spacious. Second, the bathrooms, rooms are all fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped. Third, Bob is by far the best host I met. He gave me very detailed instruction on places to see in the goldfield town. I strongly recommend Bob's house to guests who plan to stay at goldfield.

    Ada2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for our family when we were in town for a wedding. The groom, who lives in Goldfield, said he thought that Bob's house is probably the nicest house in the whole town! We found the house just like the pictures in the listing. This is my first time using airbnb, and Bob was the perfect host; he seems to have thought of everything. We really enjoyed having morning coffee on the little back deck and watching the plentiful birds in the little fruit trees. Even though we didn't bring our own pets, the house is clearly pet-friendly. Who would have thought that we'd see so many jackrabbits! Goldfield is charming and we are planning a return visit. Next time we'll leave the rest of the family at home and just enjoy the town and Bob's home by ourselves!

    Tom2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Best experience ever. Bob was the perfect host. Not only the house was perfect but Bob even showed us the town and explained to us a lot of stories about it. He got every single detail such as breakfast(amazing cookies ), bath stuff, brochures and much more. If you want to enjoy airbnb, choose Bob. Thank you for everything.
