The apartment is close to an overpass highway interchange so there is some traffic noise but otherwise it was very quiet. Great views of the bridges over the Ohio river.

    Groove along to some retro vinyl by local artists under the mirrored disco ball in the last US city to still make them. This antebellum property also benefits from exposed brickwork and beams, street art, and a bathroom with creative tilework.
    Located at the corner of South Clay Street and Nanny Goat Strut, we named our restored property the Holy Goat. It was build as a German Methodist church in 1843, and it now has four individual residencies: The Parsonage, Fellowship Hall, Ali Suite, and Braden Suite, which can be booked individually or combined to house up to 16. The second story commercial space, also known as The Revival Room, boasts the church’s original windows and choir loft, and accommodates up to 75 revelers. A portion of the ground floor now houses Nanny Goat Books, a shop for new and used books specializing in local authors. The building’s outdoor courtyard is a place to relax and commune, and all aspects of the interiors were designed and celebrate Louisville’s unique history, vibrant arts, and resilient spirit. The Parsonage is on the second floor of the building, which is accessed via an exterior stairway, so guests should be comfortable climbing a flight of stairs to access their residence. The entrance is shared, but the residence, including the bedroom, lounge, bathroom, and kitchenette, are private to you. There is shared laundry on the second floor. Quiet hours from 10pm-10am. No Parties or large gatherings - only registered guests after 10PM during quiet hours.
    NuLu and Market Street are 2 of the most happening spots in Louisville, and this property is right in the center. Walk to downtown museums, Slugger Field, the skate park, and a plethora of shops and boutiques, plus restaurants of many cuisines.
  • This was my first Airbnb experience and I have to say it set the bar HIGH. I told my fiancé that we are never staying in another hotel again. The apartment and building was so charming and welcoming. I would 110% hire Jessi and Creighton to decorate our own home. And the thoughtfulness of the cookies and sparkling waters and spare amenities was outstanding. It felt super safe and easy to come and go. The court yard was amazing. Every single detail was paid attention to. I seriously couldn’t say enough good things. It made me want to come back to Louisville just to stay here again! Highly highly recommend.

  • We had a fantastic stay at The Parsonage - one of my favorite Airbnbs to date! It is right in NuLu in easy walking distance to restaurants, wine bar, and unique shops. Downtown and Bardstown Rd are all easy 5-10 minute Uber rides away and the airport is 15-20 minutes. The new Rabbit Hole distillery is right around the corner and we enjoyed a terrific tour there (call, stop by, or book online ahead)! Our favorite dinner was at Jack Fry's, we enjoyed a Hot Brown and tasting flight in the lounge area of the Brown Hotel along with the downtown distilleries and Speed Art Museum; Please and Thank You, Decca, Garage, Feast BBQ restaurants all right around the corner. We had been to Churchill Downs before, but that is close as well. Also try the newly reopened Pine Room restaurant, a 15 minute Uber ride along the river just outside downtown. Jessi and Creighton were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The space is so well designed and brings in colorful Louisville touches and history (and the welcome cookies from Please and Thank You Cafe around the corner were a tasty touch!). Extra amenities are available in case you forget yours; shampoo/conditioner/peppermint soap/hair dryer provided. I noted the laundry and iron in the listing and they were indeed located directly outside the unit for convenient use as needed (we used the iron but not the laundry). The bed was comfortable and cozy. We also enjoyed the collection of vinyl records! Keurig coffee, small fridge, microwave for light food prep are in the kitchenette. We were so on the move that we didn't take advantage of the pretty garden area available. All in all, a terrific stay that truly felt like a home away from home in Louisville. The adaptive reuse of The Parsonage is so well done, reflecting the local culture and history in thoughtfully designed details. We hope to come back for another visit.   • We went to the Agriculture Show in Louisville and John's place was located in a nice area of the city. About 4 miles from show, great area to walk to brewerys, shops, places to eat, Got a hot chicken sandwich that my wife and I eat at Royals Hot Chicken , best chicken ever. The condo was well stocked, had a security parking gate, security condo alarm, nice clean place. If we go back to Louisville, John's place will the first on the list

    NuLu and Market Street are THE happening spots in Louisville. We are walking distance to downtown museums, Slugger field, waterfront park, the pedestrian bridge, the skate park, and a plethora of shops and restaurants. The list of dining options is expansive and varied. You will find everything from a delicious handmade muffin at Please & Thank You to a decadent 3 course meal at Butchertown Grocery. There are intriguing shops and galleries on Market street and scattered throughout the neighborhood. The free trolley picks up passengers a block away and ride shares like Lyft or Uber can be called at all hours. Our favorite thing about this neighborhood are the warm neighbors, business owners, service providers and shop keepers that call NuLu home.

  • Really lovely and calming space with high ceilings and a great energy. I got a lot of work done. The location is a little under a mile to downtown so an easy walk. Great neighborhood, very interesting, and lots of little restaurants and cafes. Please and Thank You was a great coffeeshop to work and have some breakfast. Close (walking distance) to Rabbit Hole (this is across the street!), Angel's Envy (two blocks), if you are interested in bourbon trail type of things. I wish I could have stayed longer! There are blinds if you are a late sleeper but if you want sunshine there is plenty of indirect light. Restaurant across the street The Garage has outdoor seating, pizza, and plenty of beer/whiskey. I really enjoyed the airy space, the plants, the very comfortable bed and decor. I was not cold even thought it was chilly out. I wish it was warmer because there is a wonderful little deck/back area outside.

  • Great little place! The space was clean and comfortable. Had all we needed for amenities: coffee, tea, towels, hair dryer. The Holy Goat is in a quiet neighborhood but only about a mile from downtown Louisville. We walked to 4th Street Live but did an Uber back. It's a safe neighborhood but still urban. Lots of great shops and restaurants and of course, bourbon distilleries. Also check out Nanny Goat books and Red Tree. Jessi was quick to respond when we had a question. And check in and out was easy. If you're looking for a nice weekend getaway, close enough to the action but also quiet and restful, I would highly recommend staying at The Holy Goat. Will definitely be back!

  • This apartment was perfect!!! And I loved the area, the restaurants and shops all in walking distance. I especially enjoyed the near Distillery. The apartment was spotless and had so many extra features like extra chargers, printer, office workspace and so much more. Another plus was the community was gated so we felt very safe. Although it was a one bedroom it was so spacious and perfect. I was in Louisville for my daughters basketball tournament and the venue was less than ten minutes away. I will definitely be staying again next year, I’ve found a perfect gem!

We had everything we needed from coffee in the morning to a comfortable bed at night and all amenities you can think in between. It is I think in the coolest neighborhood in the city Nulu, but close enough to walk to other notable neighborhoods: downtown, butchertown, Germantown, pedestrian bridge. It’s stylish, comfortable, and clean. I would be surprised to find a better value for an Airbnb in Louisville!

Keyless entry into the building and the apartment makes check in a breeze. There are a few stairs required to get up to the house from the street but the apartment is contained on a single level. The house is located at the nexus of two of the most popular and scenic neighborhoods in Louisville, giving you walking distance access to some of the best bars, restaurants and night life the city has to offer. We've done our best to anticipate anything you may need, and to sound proof the individual units in the house so that all our guests have a quiet and pleasant stay but be aware that this is an active apartment building with two upstairs tenants.     Our 2-bedroom two-story apartment offers a queen bed in each bedroom, a couch, and an air mattress. The kitchen has granite countertops and is stocked with cookware to cook simple meals, stainless steel appliances, and a Keurig to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. There are 2 modern bathrooms with a rainfall shower head and colorful tile flooring. Get a breath of fresh air on the balcony. There's a smart TV with Roku and Netflix (there is no cable) & free WiFi! Reserved parking for one vehicle is also available at no additional charge. The bedrooms are located upstairs and there are approximately 12 stairs to climb. * You may use the balcony located on the rooftop; however, the rooftop itself is strictly off limits.
    "New Louisville", or NuLu, is best known for its art galleries, specialty stores, antique shops, and dining hub.   • My husband and I were in Louisville as a stop on our roadtrip. Wil's place was perfect. It is a pretty large, very clean, and updated space. Beautiful kitchen and bathroom. Wil is very responsive and answered all our questions. My only note would be is that if you are looking to head to bed early and are a light sleeper, this isn't the place for you. There are people in the unit above and the walls are very thin. You could hear the dog running around and people yelling pretty easily.

    This efficiency is located in a cottage behind our house. It's newly renovated, about 300 sq ft. Location of our house allows for quick drive to many attractions but there isn't much in the immediate vicinity, you have to walk 20 minutes to strict downtown, Ohio River or the Highlands. It's relative close to NuLu, maybe 10 min walk.

We're about 1 mile away from the KFC YUM Center, downtown, Waterfront Park and 5.8 miles from Churchill Downs--where the Kentucky Derby happens!

    A one bedroom studio style condo with high ceilings, open floor plan and floor to ceiling windows in the living room providing a bright and airy space. Spacious outdoor patio with seating and a fire pit perfect for winding down the day. I am situated between Nulu and Downtown Louisville within walking distance to plenty of nightlife, shops, bars, waterfront park. I am also in very close proximity to the University, Airport and under 10 minute drive to Churchill Downs for Derby-goers!
    Full use of the kitchen and washer and dryer. Parking is free and directly outside the unit which is unbeatable so close to downtown! I have a queen size bed as well as a queen size air mattress available for guests to use and have comfortably hosted 3 guests plus myself. As a student, I am all for hosting groups up to 5 people looking to save a bit of money by utilizing the couch and an air mattress that is available for guest use. There is one key for guest use but two can be provided upon request.
    I am situated between Nulu and downtown, "Nulu" being "new Louisville". Nulu has the energetic vibe that you would expect for an area of new development in an urban area: ample (FANTASTIC) dining and drinking options, hip coffee shops, insta-worthy wall murals, small business storefronts to shop and plenty of nightlife.

    Our neighborhood is close to EVERYTHING. It is truly in the most central part of the city. There are farmers markets, breweries, downtown, parks, all within a 5 mile radius.

Do note that the upstairs bedroom has an open wall to the living room - you can't see in to the bedroom, but it might be a noise issue. Check-in was very easy! The apartment using a smart lock system which can be opened via an app or a code.

The place has been gutted out and updated with new ceiling fans, lights, outlets, flooring etc. 2 closets, twin bed. The space is small but very cozy with higher end floors, glass block/granite counter top, fireplace stainless steel cabinets, ceiling fan etc When renovation we decided to keep original 100 yrs old cast iron bathtub and sink but unfortunately with age there comes some discoloration that proved impossible to remove. Fixtures are clean there are some stains. The house has WiFi, laundry facility, free bicycle rental. In most cases I don't even meet guests as they are able to let themselves in via electronic lock and I only show up if something is needed. The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centrally located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown. There are two bus lines (21 and 19) in front of the house that will take you to major parts of the city. For detailed maps look up TARC bus system. Downtown, Riverfront, Highlands, Nulu are all within waling distance. Parking is on public street. It's safe and plentiful except midday during the week but you can always find a spot just not directly in front of the house.
    The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centrally located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown.

It's a healthy 25-30 min walk to Actor's Theatre, but the spring weather was lovely so no problem for me. Felt safe and was impressed by digital lock system. Every little thing was provided - teakettle, tea, coffee, coffeemaker, soap, shampoo, etc. I'd absolutely return - very pleasant apartment to spend a weekend!

    Located right in the heart of Louisville's most popular downtown neighborhood. This gorgeous, 1100 square ft shotgun style house has been converted from a retail space. A short walk from nationally acclaimed farm to table restaurants, popular bars, local roast coffee shops, galleries and boutiques. You can also walk to several different bourbon distilleries and Slugger Field. Free city circulation buses and pay as you ride bike and scooter stations can get you to slightly further major venues.
    The Heart of NuLu is an 1100 square foot home in the traditional 'shotgun' style. This warm, exposed brick space is linear in design. The brick walls provide a cozy continuity to the individual living spaces. Enter into the living room. There is a small kitchenette in the middle of the space and a large, king size bed in the back of the building next to the bathroom. The bathroom features a tile and glass shower with a lovely stone floor. All amenities including furniture are brand new and have been selected with the traveler in mind. This open floor plan may not be ideal for groups that require privacy from each other. Note that due to the layout of the house the furnace vent or the HVAC is located above the bed. This causes air to flow across the sleeping area which may be uncomfortable or annoying for some. If you are a light or sensitive sleeper, you may be bothered by the white noise produced by the HVAC at night. Note that there is NO STOVE. The kitchenette area features a toaster oven and small refrigerator for drinks and snacks. There is a Kureg and a French Press for coffee and an electric kettle for hot water. Note that there is NO CABLE. The Smart TV has Netflix. You can log into your Amazon or Hulu accounts. There is also a Chromecast for you to use if you would rather stream from your own device.
    The NuLu neighborhood is chock full of amazing places to visit. The house has two large chalk boards in the kitchenette area detailing individual establishments that are absolutely worth a visit within 2 walking blocks in each direction. A long walk or a Uber or LIFT can get you to many other excellent destinations within 5 or 10 minutes.

    The entire building has been completely remodeled, a perfect combination of historic details and modern decor. All the furniture is new, the bathrooms are completely new and kitchenette is exactly what you need during your stay in Louisville. Set up as a studio, you have a sleeper couch and dining table for eating or use as work space!
    Butchertown/Nulu is where locals love to hang out! It's an up and coming neighborhood so we have some of the best coffee shops, boutiques and restaurant/bars in town. We are right around the corner from Quills Firehouse Coffee Shop, Please and Thank You Coffee Shop, Butchertown Grocery, Mayan Cafe, Feast BBQ, Royals Hot Chicken, Rye, Garage Bar, Decca, Grind Burger, Taj Louisville and so many more amazing places! We're about 1 mile away from the KFC YUM Center, downtown, Waterfront Park and 5.8 miles from Churchill Downs--where the Kentucky Derby happens!

It's in an adorable older house, but the studio itself is modern and decorated very tastefully with local touches.     NuLu is best known for its art galleries, specialty stores, antique shops and a growing number of local, upscale restaurants. The term “NuLu” is a portmanteau meaning “New Louisville”. As home to the greenest commercial building in Kentucky, many historic restoration projects, as well as several restaurants offering organic and locally sourced ingredients, NuLu has emerged with a culture of sustainability. Market Street is one of four major corridors inextricably intertwined with the history and development of Louisville; the earliest map of the city identifies Water, Main, Market and Jefferson Streets. In this section of the map you can clearly see the 800 block of Market between Shelby and Campbell. In 1804 the first Market house was established at Fourth and Market. The first brick house built in Louisville was constructed on the south side of Market between 5th and 6th Streets. During the 1820s the street was the scene of impromptu horse racing. During the early part of the 19th century Market Street was the common address for retailers and service industries supporting Louisville’s development as a center for regional commerce. The thoroughfare was the heart of the development of the city as a livestock market with herds of livestock in constant travel along Market between the Bourbon Stockyards and the river. During mid-century, the increased traffic along Market necessitated widening the street to accommodate the great variety of traveling merchants and products. Three block long sections of Market, between Floyd and Preston, Campbell and Shelby and Sixteenth and Seventeenth Streets were widened and several market houses were established here. In 1892 the Methodist Episcopal Church at 216 S. Shelby housed the Shelby Street Market (This is now the site of the Flea off Market). As part of this development a small park was established on Market Street between Shelby and Campbell. Named Kenton Place the park ran the length of the block and was enclosed with a fence to separate visitors from the streetcars that bypassed on the north side. However, by 1905 the park had been removed and the trolley traveled the center of the streetin 1940s The adjacent neighborhoods of Butchertown and Phoenix Hill and the Bourbon Stockyards at the east end of Market insured that Market Street was a vital artery of commerce. The 1852 City Directory noted “the entire extent of this street is given up to retail grocers, provisions dealers, and clothiers”; almost everything purchased in Louisville, either was produced or sold on Market Street. During the last half of the 19th through the early 20th century, at the beginning of the era of the great department store, three major Louisville retailers, Levy Brothers, Bacon’s, and Loevenhart’s open for business on Market Street. The historic integrity of feeling and association of the area today is supported by an eclectic mix of retail shops, restaurants and businesses. The diversity of this neighborhood is evidenced by the historic fabric that exists today along this corridor. This fabric is rich in historic design, materials and details; brick, limestone, cast iron. This is not limited to above ground structures. Recent archaeological investigations in downtown Louisville have revealed that a wealth of cultural historic resources are intact and these sites could have potential significance for their data content. During the nineteenth century Market Street was an important center of commerce and industry. Like many other urban historic business districts during the 1960s and 1970s it experienced a decline when competition from new commercial shopping areas began to be developed in the suburbs. However, Market has learned to reinvent itself and has become a unique destination. This strength is evident by the establishment of the East Downtown Businessman’s Association (now the East Market District Association) whose goal is to work together toward the revitalization of their commercial district. In 2007, Preservation Kentucky commissioned a study to analyze the economic impact of historic preservation in the Commonwealth. In that study completed by Dr. John Gilderbloom of the University of Louisville, the importance of historic, walkable, approachable downtowns appears through such varied topics as job creation, environmental benefits, and heritage tourism. In terms of job creation, noted economists agree that historic preservation creates 43 jobs for every $1 million invested — new construction cannot come close to that figure. Downtown revitalization in Kentucky created an estimated 4720 jobs in 2006 alone. Reports for across the state confirm that 1,923 permanent jobs were created in Main Street districts in 2006. From the study, “In Louisville alone, $76 million was spent on private rehabilitation projects on Main Street in 2006.” These projects support Louisville’s historic revitalization but more importantly they help retain the city’s unique Sense of Place.

It was too cold when we went to utelize the bikes, but if I come back when it's warmer I would definitely chose this spot again. We had ample restaurants and bars within walking distance, and not just any restaurants and bars, but many that my local friends had recommended I visit as some of the best spots in the city! We had a great stay, great location, Sarah was responsive and helped keep everything stress free.

    This is former rental building in the process of upgrading. I do my best to make it clean and cozy but exterior and common areas still need attention. I appreciate my guests comments and suggestions and every month the place gets better. If everything goes well you'll never see me but I'll show up within minutes if something's needed. Check in is automated via PIN code that I'll send you prior to your arrival. The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centraly located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown. There are two bus lines (21 and 19) in front of the house that will take you to major parts of the city. For detailed maps look up TARC bus system. Downtown, Riverfront, Highlands, Nulu are all within waling distance. Parking is on public street. It's safe and plentiful except midday during the week but you can always find a spot just not directly in front of the house.

  • This studio apartment is very centrally located (we were downtown to the palace in 5 min...and to the highlands in 5 min...). Just a few blocks from NULU too. The space is small (studio apartment) but way better than a hotel room! It’s minimal but very trendy and cute, and extremely clean! Hannah left some chocolates in a bowl (nice touch!) and a binder with info on bars, restaurants, and attractions! The bed is very big and extremely comfortable, and the daybed is wider than it looks in the photo (acts as a second bed, or a very comfy couch to watch TV). Honestly no complaints! Stay here! The deck is a nice feature and the fire pit is awesome (even though it was raining and we couldn’t use it). Thanks!!

  • I had a very nice stay. It's basically a small studio apartment above a house. Found street parking at night. Checkin was a breeze (door code). The place was neat, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I heard the dog barking past 11 pm (responding to another neighbor dog) and there were a few helicopters that flew above (must be near the medical center), so if you are a very light sleeper consider bringing earplugs. You can also faintly hear the tv playing downstairs but I did not find it bothersome. Overall I would stay here again.

  • Condo is new and super clean. Kitchen is perfect for cooking, lots of cupboard space. Washer and dryer in spacious closet was a great plus. Parking garage felt very safe and was great not to worry about where to park. Close to everything. Shower had good pressure and bathroom is also spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Building is very quiet! Did not take advantage of the pool area, Recreation room and gym, but went to see them and they are beautiful. you can’t go wrong, host was great too.

  • Great spot, right in the downtown area of Louisville. It's a great little place that is well done and has everything a traveler could need. Super clean, and easy communication with the owners. I promise, this is a value for staying so close to the downtown area. The rental comes with a secured parking garage, but you probably won't need your car since all of downtown Louisville was accessible by foot. I took in 4 distillery tours and never needed to drive. So close to many fun places to see. Don't pass on this one.

  • The host(s?) were very responsive, even at a late hour, which was impressive. The decor in the unit itself was extremely minimal (more so than a hotel) and on the low end of trendy-modern styles. The bed was not particularly comfortable. Having said that, however, everything was in very good working order, all appliances fairly new and very well kept. I did not have an opportunity to visit their gym or pool, so I can't comment on their other amenities.

    NuLu is best known for its art galleries, specialty stores, antique shops and a growing number of local, upscale restaurants. The term “NuLu” is a portmanteau meaning “New Louisville”. As home to the greenest commercial building in Kentucky, many historic restoration projects, as well as several restaurants offering organic and locally sourced ingredients, NuLu has emerged with a culture of sustainability. Market Street is one of four major corridors inextricably intertwined with the history and development of Louisville; the earliest map of the city identifies Water, Main, Market and Jefferson Streets. In this section of the map you can clearly see the 800 block of Market between Shelby and Campbell. In 1804 the first Market house was established at Fourth and Market. The first brick house built in Louisville was constructed on the south side of Market between 5th and 6th Streets. During the 1820s the street was the scene of impromptu horse racing. During the early part of the 19th century Market Street was the common address for retailers and service industries supporting Louisville’s development as a center for regional commerce. The thoroughfare was the heart of the development of the city as a livestock market with herds of livestock in constant travel along Market between the Bourbon Stockyards and the river. During mid-century, the increased traffic along Market necessitated widening the street to accommodate the great variety of traveling merchants and products. Three block long sections of Market, between Floyd and Preston, Campbell and Shelby and Sixteenth and Seventeenth Streets were widened and several market houses were established here. In 1892 the Methodist Episcopal Church at 216 S. Shelby housed the Shelby Street Market (This is now the site of the Flea off Market). As part of this development a small park was established on Market Street between Shelby and Campbell. Named Kenton Place the park ran the length of the block and was enclosed with a fence to separate visitors from the streetcars that bypassed on the north side. However, by 1905 the park had been removed and the trolley traveled the center of the streetin 1940s The adjacent neighborhoods of Butchertown and Phoenix Hill and the Bourbon Stockyards at the east end of Market insured that Market Street was a vital artery of commerce. The 1852 City Directory noted “the entire extent of this street is given up to retail grocers, provisions dealers, and clothiers”; almost everything purchased in Louisville, either was produced or sold on Market Street. During the last half of the 19th through the early 20th century, at the beginning of the era of the great department store, three major Louisville retailers, Levy Brothers, Bacon’s, and Loevenhart’s open for business on Market Street. The historic integrity of feeling and association of the area today is supported by an eclectic mix of retail shops, restaurants and businesses. The diversity of this neighborhood is evidenced by the historic fabric that exists today along this corridor. This fabric is rich in historic design, materials and details; brick, limestone, cast iron. This is not limited to above ground structures. Recent archaeological investigations in downtown Louisville have revealed that a wealth of cultural historic resources are intact and these sites could have potential significance for their data content. During the nineteenth century Market Street was an important center of commerce and industry. Like many other urban historic business districts during the 1960s and 1970s it experienced a decline when competition from new commercial shopping areas began to be developed in the suburbs. However, Market has learned to reinvent itself and has become a unique destination. This strength is evident by the establishment of the East Downtown Businessman’s Association (now the East Market District Association) whose goal is to work together toward the revitalization of their commercial district. In 2007, Preservation Kentucky commissioned a study to analyze the economic impact of historic preservation in the Commonwealth. In that study completed by Dr. John Gilderbloom of the University of Louisville, the importance of historic, walkable, approachable downtowns appears through such varied topics as job creation, environmental benefits, and heritage tourism. In terms of job creation, noted economists agree that historic preservation creates 43 jobs for every $1 million invested — new construction cannot come close to that figure. Downtown revitalization in Kentucky created an estimated 4720 jobs in 2006 alone. Reports for across the state confirm that 1,923 permanent jobs were created in Main Street districts in 2006. From the study, “In Louisville alone, $76 million was spent on private rehabilitation projects on Main Street in 2006.” These projects support Louisville’s historic revitalization but more importantly they help retain the city’s unique Sense of Place.

  • This place was very modern and chic. It has a great view of the city. I loved sitting by the window while drinking my morning coffee. Everyone in the building was kind. The pool and fitness facility were both wonderful. This was a great mix of AirBnB character and hotel fun.

    This spacious NuLu suite pays tribute to Louisville’s own Muhammad Ali in true urban style! Located in a lovingly renovated 1843 church, it boasts a king-size bed, brand new bathroom, kitchenette with table for 4, and lounge sofas that comfortably sleep 2. You'll be in the middle of all Market Street has to offer — steps from Rabbit Hole Distillery, Nouvelle, Garage Bar, and tons more. A 10-minute ride from the airport, you'll be half a mile from Slugger Field and 1 mile from the YUM! Center.
    Located at the corner of South Clay Street and Nanny Goat Strut, we named our restored property the Holy Goat. It was build as a German Methodist church in 1843, and it now has four individual residencies: The Parsonage, Fellowship Hall, Ali Suite, and Braden Suite, which can be booked individually or combined to house up to 16. The second story commercial space, also known as The Revival Room, boasts the church’s original windows and choir loft, and accommodates up to 75 revelers. A portion of the ground floor now houses Nanny Goat Books, a shop for new and used books specializing in local authors. The building’s outdoor courtyard is a place to relax and commune, and all aspects of the interiors were designed and celebrate Louisville’s unique history, vibrant arts, and resilient spirit. No Parties or large gatherings- only registered guests after 10PM quiet hours
    NuLu and Market Street are THE happening spots in Louisville. We are walking distance to downtown museums, Slugger field, waterfront park, the pedestrian bridge, the skate park, and a plethora of shops and restaurants. The list of dining options is expansive and varied. You will find everything from a delicious handmade muffin at Please & Thank You to a decadent 3 course meal at Butchertown Grocery. There are intriguing shops and galleries on Market street and scattered throughout the neighborhood. The free trolley picks up passengers a block away and ride shares like Lyft or Uber can be called at all hours. Our favorite thing about this neighborhood are the warm neighbors, business owners, service providers and shop keepers that call NuLu home.
  • This space is amazing and is better than advertised! It’s perfectly Located in the NULU area where there are a lot of restaurants and bars and fun things to do. It’s only a 10 minute bike or scooter away from the downtown area. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun area to stay in. The back patio is also an amazing feature and offers a nice evening hang when the sun goes down!

  • We had an amazing stay at Holy Goat! The space was practically right on top of Market St without any of the noise that comes with it. We walked to every place we wanted to visit around NuLu and took a very short Lyft to get to places in the Highlands. We didn’t have a car with us but it looked like there would have been no problem parking on the street right outside if we did. The space it self was not only beautiful but super comfortable. The bed was wonderful and the shower was great! They provide the big bath towels not just regular size towels, thank you! We had a friend join us one of the nights celebrating my husbands birthday and he stayed on one of the twin couches and said he slept fine. Linens and pillows were provided. The cherry on top was the personalized welcome treat. We can’t wait to come back when it’s a little warmer out (we visited during a cold spell) so we can enjoy the porch outback. It’s in exactly the right spot if you really want to take advantage of exploring NuLu but also being centrally located to visit everything else. We loved it.

  • Jessi and Creighton have created an amazing space, furnished it super stylishly, and added a whole load of incredibly thoughtful touches (umbrella by the door! Advil, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairdryer, shampoo x3, baby shampoo, baby/toddler bath, toddler toys and books, first aid kit etc etc the list is endless!). It is hands down the best Airbnb we've stayed in (out of about 25 worldwide). The location is amazing - right where you want to be in NuLu. This does mean it can be a bit noisy, but of course Jessi and Creighton have put a white noise machine and ear plugs by the bed! We stayed for a week, and only used these on one Saturday night - the rest of the time it's super quiet - and all slept like logs. I honestly can't recommend this place highly enough - book it now! Thanks so much guys!

  • I loved this apartment. It's really stylish, unique and clean with a comfy bed and a big modern shower. The location is fabulous too with lots of bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. I also loved the beautiful backyard. Being in an old church was cool too. The hosts are wonderful. Communication was easy with quick responses. They also made some fabulous recommendations. I hope to return to Louisville at some point. When I do, I'll be booking here again.

  • We had such a wonderful stay! Although we were only visiting for two nights, we still managed to pack in a lot of activity. The space is super hip, stylish and comfortable. The location is perfect, just around the corner from great shopping, restaurants and the Rabbit Hole Distillery (amazing bourbon!) Creighton was available through our stay and gave us some good recommendations. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
