Character house well located on a quiet road near to shops and public transport. It is a short two minute walk to some great cafes, patisseries and restaurants,. There is also a supermarket nearby. (10 min walk). Bus stops to the city and to UWA are at the end of the street and its about a ten minute walk to the train station linking you to the city, Fremantle and the pick of the best beaches in Perth including Cottesloe beach. Kings park is also close by to explore.
Built in 1905 the house has plenty of character features including tall ceilings and jarrah floorboards. The house has two separate lounges for relaxing and a dining are adjacent to the kitchen. At the rear of the property there is a lovely private garden which has dining facilities and my favourite area being the back verandah, a great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Being on a corner, there is plenty of off street parking available. The room can be locked for privacy and also has a small lockable safe.
This area of Subiaco is a nice mix of residential with a great café strip running through it with lots of great places to snack and dine. Within easy distance to King Edward Hospital, Charles Gardiner Hospital, St John of God and also not too far from UWA.

  • Great host, Wayne is very friendly and a nice man to chat with. The room is spacious, clean, functional and has a reversed cycle a/c (which is essential in winter). The common areas are huge and comfy. The bathroom is clean and the hot water system works well. Beautiful vintage entrance, easy parking on the street and close to many cafes.

  • Wayne's place is perfectly situated should you have business to attend to in the eastern triangle of Perth, i.e. the CBD, West Perth and Subiaco. Once there, you don't need a car. The bus service will get you anywhere you want to go. (That's a big statement from me; except when I'm deliberately walking, I take a car everywhere . . . my second pair of legs). The house is 'bright & shiny' clean, and my bed was oh-so-comfortable; I usually sleep for just 4 to 5 hours, but managed seven for each of the two nights I was there. Whatever you need to do in the house, you can. It's all there. The man himself: Personable, discreet, easy-going, friendly, accommodating (nothing is too much trouble) . . . in short, the perfect host. My best recommendation? I'll be back. Owen Stickels

  • Wayne becomes my first new friend in Perth. He is a very friendly person and his place is a tidy big place close to city and uwa. Wayne's place is immaculate and orderly. I stayed at his during rainy days but the heater kept me warm during the night. Wayne provided local and global knowledge, which was helpful. He gave us privacy and he is very friendly host.   • Let's cut to the chase to what you really want to know: 1) Yes, you should stay here! This apartment has everything you need from a fully kitted out kitchen with ALL your whiteware needs. It has a laundry with ALL the laundry essentials. The apartment has internet, spare linen, towels, cable TV (FoxTel). I really just could go on & on... Did I mention how lovely inside the apartment is? The owner has done their absolute best to make this apartment ooze luxury. My partner is obsessed with safety, and she was so happy to find that access to the apartment grounds required an remote or access code to operate to gate that allowed anyone access to the property. You’ll find you have your own secure car park too & that the neighbours are very pleasent. Yes the apartment is located opposite the Kwinana Freeway, but no it is not bothersome. For me it was the complete opposite. It provided direct and immediate access to anywhere you wanted to go- Perth is your oyster. My partner & I would highly recommend staying here.   • We really enjoyed our stay at Elyse’s. The apartment was clean and the bed and couch were both comfortable, which we appreciated for our long term stay. The location was also amazing - just a short stroll to the IGA and cafes, as well as easy access to the city via ferry. Elyse was also great with communication. The washing machine stopped working early in our stay, but this was promptly replaced. We’d definitely recommend Elyse’s place, and will use it again ourselves for our next long term stay in Perth.

    Fantastic opportunity to live amongst the vibrancy of the Hampden Road cafe and restaurant strip in this neatly presented studio unit. Well maintained complex with one undercover parking bay and shared laundry available with the unit. Walk to Kings park and our beautiful river. A quick bus trip to Subiaco shopping hub and the Perth CBD.
    Additional to the queen bed, the studio has a sofa that can easily covert to large single bed. A porta cot can also be made available if required.
    Hampden road is a fantastic location, with everything you might need within walking distance of the unit. Supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, banks and the best local bakery!
  • Cheap, basic, clean place. Communication with Tijana was professional. The apartment is well located for visitors to UWA. Please note that there is NO INTERNET at the apartment, I recommend making your own arrangements when you get to the airport. Also, do not use the common laundry for dark clothes, the machine leaves a lot of lint and other gunk. There is a terrific laundromat on Broadway, a five minute ride away.

  • The apartment was scrupulously clean, and has a well-equipped kitchen. It is also very well-located, close to the Hampden St cafe strip and UWA. However, the final 'b' seems to have disappeared from airbnb. Apart from a carton of UHT milk in the fridge, there was nothing that could be even remotely construed as breakfast makings. There weren't even any 'regular' tea bags - Earl Grey is not to everyone's liking. Some cereal - good muesli and weetbix say - a couple of small pots of yoghurt and maybe a banana or two would have completely changed my perception of the experience.

  • Zoe's place is clean and quiet, and very close to UWA, nice cafes, and the conference venue I was at (St Catherine's on the Park). It was also a very short bus ride to the city. Perth was a little humid when I was there, so if you wanted a super cool air-conditioned apartment this isn't for you (mainly because there is only a small portable aircon) but I found it excellent for me personally, and I was only around at night time! Thanks for a lovely stay, and excellent communication!

    The apartment is very close to the Kings Park, and also very close to the city. The Kings Park has lots to offer for its guests. It is rich in Aboriginal and European history, contemporary culture and offers innovative design, displays and services. Kings Park also has an international reputation for scientific research and conservation. You will be able to spot over 3000 different species of the State's unique flora! The apartment is also only a street away from the Jacob's Ladder which will lead you out to the Mounts Bay road. You will spot lots of locals exercising on the series of stairs, as it has a beautiful view not many other stairs can offer. Once you make it down the stairs, then you can go for a stroll along Mounts Bay Rd with the Swan river to your side, and watch baby ducklings marching together (or perhaps running away from you) with their mum. You can usually spot black swans there too, a large waterbird that is also Western Australia's official bird emblem. Lastly, the Perth city is only a few minutes walk away from the apartment. Once you pass the foot bridge that is right next to the entrance to the apartment, you will be led onto St George's Terrace and Milligan Street. There are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants on those streets (especially St George's Terrace) and most of them are locally owned with their own unique styles and vibes. If you would like to explore the heart of the Perth CBD then it is only a couple of blocks away from St George's terrace as well.

  • We had come up after a few days south. And needed a night to regroup. Great little spot for this, but parking is chancy, and local eats are thin. Double bed... this needs to turn around ninety degrees, and pulled away from the wall on both sides, as I had to climb over my wife to get into or out of bed. Good spot!

  • the studio is part of a motel complex that is quite run down, but the studio itself is renovated throughout and quite nice. windows face the highway so windows would be closed. main problem is lack of dedicated wifi. the wifi of the hotel is too weak and couldnt be used properly. overall ok for the price.

    This comfortable, ground floor studio is situated in a leafy, quiet street in this sort after, inner city suburb. Amenities include; Wi-Fi, air conditioning/heating, BBQ, kitchenette, outdoor area, off-street parking. The Perth CBD, Kings Park, University of Western Australia, hospitals, beaches, the Swan River are within easy reach. Train stations and bus stops are close by for destinations all over Perth. Shenton Park and neighbouring Subiaco are a hub for excellent restaurants and shops.
    We are very proud of our 'Studio'. It has a 'home from home' appeal and is very clean and tidy. It is a separate and self-contained unit at the rear of our property. Access is either from the street or the rear lane way. The space is roomy and comfortable, comprising a bedroom area with queen-size bed, a kitchenette and cupboard space and a bathroom with shower, hand basin and toilet. National and some international TV channels are also available. There is also a pleasant, private, outdoor, covered veranda area with a barbeque (BBQ).
    Colin and Cilla's property is in the popular and sort-after suburb of Shenton Park and, we think, one of the prettiest areas of Perth. We have beautiful tree-lined streets and plenty of parks and open spaces. The area is known for its relaxed lifestyle with easy access to Kings Park and beautiful bush walks. However there is no shortage of excellent cafes, restaurants, shops and theatres. There are good supermarkets close by as well.

    Mill Point Road, South Perth, is a very leafy and picturesque location. The area is flat and great for walking, running and even cycling around the river. There are some fabulous cafes and yummy food stores in the Mends Street strip. The ferry is only six minutes walk.

  • We had a fantastic four night stay at Sue’s apartment this week. Ideal location to take a stroll along the river or an 8 minute ferry ride across to the city. Freeway north or south just minutes away too. 24/7 grocery store and lots of lovely eateries a short stroll away too. The apartment is stylish and well cared for and very comfortable. We would certainly stay here again on future visits and highly recommend it. Just take care when parking your car in the secure parking bay, it’s a bit tight, but doable.   • We felt really welcomed and comfortable in this apartment. It's a city apartment and not huge but perfect for 2 people with a separate bedroom and fab facilities. We were welcomed with some snacks and some milk which was such a relief as it was one less thing to worry about. On site restaurant was good although we had take away. Never got in the pool as being from Broome it looked a bit cold. Apartments are very well maintained and public areas very well kept and clean. Handy for most things.

The closest train station is a 15 minute walk away which also connect with these areas but also to Cottesloe, home to one of Perth's premier beachfronts. One bus route will also take you into Subiaco town centre or to the University of Western Australia and Perths magnificent Swan River.

  • Apartment is a little walk away from the main strip, best to arrive early or be prepared to walk at least 15 mins to get some food. I found that the noise from the main house was disturbing during the evening and morning and some sound proofing wouldn't go astray. I found the bed linen to be nice but towels need to be replaced or a lot of fabric softener to be used as they were very hard and well used. I was expecting it to be more of a studio apartment not being attached to the main house. Very basic facilities for preparing your own food and washing up.

    Our quaint cottage has a bedroom upstairs and a lounge/dining/kitchen and newly renovated bathroom downstairs. It has a beautiful shady private courtyard situated at the back of the property. There is dedicated free off-street parking for our guests at the front of the property and a private entrance into the back lane.
    Please note that the stairs are quite steep. There is a queensize bed upstairs and a double bed is available too. We can arrange a single mattress if you need one and there is a new sofa bed in the lounge. There is a cot available for a baby. There is air-conditioning and wi-fi is provided free of charge. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas top stove, electric oven and microwave. There is a washing machine and iron and ironing board are available. A coffee machine with pods provided is available for your use. There is an air-printer downstairs for you to use. Fresh linen and towels are provided. There are 2 bikes for your use. A new barbecue is available in the courtyard.
    The cottage is in a quiet leafy street in the old part of Subiaco which is one of the closest residential areas to the Perth CBD and all its major attractions. It is close to the major hospitals including Princess Margaret Children's Hospital, King Edward. Sir Charles Gairdner and St John of God. King's Park with its cycle and walking paths is a 10 minute walk from the cottage as is Rokeby Road which has numerous cafes, restaurants and shops. Nearby smaller parks include Subiaco Theatre Gardens, Lake Jualbup (Shenton Park Lake) and Rosalie Park. The Region The city of Perth is known as one of the most isolated in the world, mainly due to the sheer size of this beautiful country of ours, Australia. This isolation ensures we have some of the most pristine landscape in the world. Our multitude of endless white sandy beaches are a truly wonderful way to see us at our best, and only a 15 minute drive from the centre of the city. Perth is situated on a large expanse of river land called the Swan River, which meanders comfortably inland from the historic port city of Fremantle. Perth City itself is situated some 15 kms upstream from Fremantle and the river then continues it's way up through our beautiful Swan Valley, complete with it's vibrant wine industry, and then into the picturesque Perth hills area.

  • Subiaco is an endearing, old fashioned, tree lined suburb just a short 15 to 20 minute bus ride from the busy centre of Perth. It's perfectly located for travelling by bus or train into Perth or Fremantle; bus and train stops being only a short and pleasant walk from the accommodation. Subiaco has a wide selection of small relaxing bars, restaurants and cafes as well as large supermarkets and stores in the centrally located shopping mall. If you are driving then it is just a short drive from the accommodation to the Freeway giving easy access to the Perth Hills, Swan Valley and the South Western tourist destinations of Margaret River, Albany and the Wheat Belt. I was very impressed with comfortable and spacious accommodation provided by Gillian. It is self contained and private with it's own sheltered patio area. Gillian and Greg were the perfect hosts and I was very pleased with the accommodation and it's location in a very peaceful suburb but with easy access to all the amenities that Perth has to offer. I am quite familiar with WA from many previous visits but this was my favourite and most memorable.

Also - if we needed anything (like Additional drawers - being here for a month) she was accommodating and gracious. The cottage is perfectly situated near busses and near Rockeby road - which is gorgeous. We can also walk into town and cycle to the beach easily. The space had everything we needed - big enough for the 2 of us (and our cats). She also left amenities and some essentials for us and the bed was super comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.

We used the bikes a lot and I even could use Gillian's bike after I had a flat tire. Gillian and Greg gave us some tips what to do in Perth and provide a lot of information material. They are both very friendly and helpful and Gillian's German is really good. We would always come again and can definitely recommend the place :)

    Attractive, very reasonably priced, peaceful and quiet first floor apartment. One queen size bed in one bedroom and one bedroom with twin beds, accommodating up to four people. Travel cot with bedding and some baby equipment and toys available on request. Lounge with dining area with TV, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker (please note some furniture has been upgraded since photos were taken}. Separate study area, excellently equipped kitchen and bathroom with washer and drier separate.
    Shenton Park has a friendly atmosphere - everything is close by, there are parks, cafes and tree-lined streets, it's a well regarded area and very safe. There is a 'state of the art' childrens' playground two minutes walk away, in a park which also contains a lake which at certain times of year abounds in bird life, black swans, egrets, pelicans, ibis and numerous ducks and you might even see a long-necked tortoise there! Shenton Village shops are 10 minutes walk across the park, supermarket open 24/7. Bakeries, restaurants, pharmacy, post office etc here too. Subiaco is very close by with its vibrant weekend markets, cafes, theatres, boutique shops and night life.

"Hungry" will not be found in your dictionary when you are in his apartment. Haha. Close to a cute little cafe and restaurant strip, ten minute walk to shops and nightlife in Subiaco. Very close to buses that will get you to Perth city in 10 minutes. Subiaco is a beautiful, trendy area filled with trendy shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Streets are tree lined and a perfect spot for you to enjoy Perth.

    Our neighbourhood is quiet and safe, yet close to everything! The streets of the area are shady and tree lined. It is well suited to those who want to be close to the city but away from the inner city hustle and bustle. The closest cafes, restaurants and bar are a 3 minute walk away. Subiaco city centre is a 10 minute walk and a bus will even take you there if you can't be bothered walking. Subiaco is home to a trendy shopping and restaurant district. Here you will find plenty of shops (low to high end), a variety of restaurants (dine-in, take away and fast food), trendy bars and popular nightclubs. You could catch a show at the Regal Theatre or a movie at the outdoor cinema. On the weekend you can check out the local farmers market where you can grab a delicious bite to eat or grab a bargain. The closest liquor store and deli is a minute walk away to pick up any essential items. In Subiaco town centre you will find late night grocery stores for fresh food or convenient pre-made reheat-able meals. Sight seeing is just down the road with the edge of the iconic Kings Park only a few hundred meters away. The Moonlight cinema at the Synergy Parkland (there are public BBQ's here too) in Kings Park is a 10 minute walk away (this runs in Summer and I might be able to get you a cheap ticket). There are plenty of paths to find if you want to go for a walk or run.

    This is a private and secure property, situated in a small block of 5 apartments. Private parking is accessed from a laneway at the rear. The laneway comes off Rupert Street and Rokeby Rd (Nicholson Rd end).
    Subiaco is a very delightful, leafy, inner city suburb, full of period homes, most fully renovated. There is excellent shopping plus a number of restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops, all within walking distance and mainly along Rokeby Road.

He showed me around the neighbourhood cafes on my first day here. I enjoyed getting to know Jeff and his family. Jeff was also easy going and understanding of my needs. He generously provided any support that I requested for. When I expressed that I was not accustomed to the cold weather, he offered me additional blankets and a heater. When there were unexpected issues with the plumbing, he immediately arranged for it to be fixed within a few hours. The room had a cozy ambience that exceeded what I expected from the photos. The location is very convenient, being a 5-10 minute walk from QEII, shops on Hampden Road, and UWA. I will definitely stay here again the next time that I visit.

    The studio cabin is light and airy and set in a mature leafy garden. The cabin is furnished simply and comfortably with a table for working or eating, a couch to relax and a queen sized bed. There is also a wardrobe, small fridge, induction hot plate, microwave, kettle, Nespresso machine, cutlery & china for making tea & coffee plus basic cooking equipment to make salads, pasta etc either inside or outside. Note that there is not an internal kitchen or TV. Facilities comprise of an induction cooktop, basic pots, pan and utensils. ie: Enough to cook pasta, salad or making stove top meals, reheating etc. Hi speed Wifi available.
    Our neighbourhood is adjacent to UWA, Kings Park, public and private hospitals, and 5 minutes drive to Perth CBD. Our neighbourhood is vibrant and full of cafés, restaurants, galleries & coffee shops. A shopping centre is within walking distance and has many shops including supermarket, health food store, many different dining options. The University of Western Australia is a few minutes by foot, as well as Kings Park, Matilda Bay, the Swan River and many wonderful walking, cycling or running trails. Cottesloe Beach, Fremantle, Claremont & Subiaco are all easily accessible.

The functionality of this space is well thought out. The bathroom is gorgeous. Claire is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and looked after.   • I had a great stay. Everything you need is there. The city is just across the bridge, and if you want to go around the city by bus then the bus stop is just within 5minutes walk. very convenient. The reception lady is very helpful during our check in process, she gave us the transport directory. ask her and she'll teach you especially the City and Fremantle Cat Bus map was very useful. But, theres 1 thing to know that the checkout time is 10am. I didnt know this as i thought it was at 11am. The cleaner boy came to our room around 10.30am and keep knocking at the door to and ask us to checkout immidiately, i feel like i was chased out from the room even i told him that i'll be ready around 15minutes he still insist that we leave immidiately. He was just rude. Other that the cleaner boy, everything was great!

Excellent location, within walking distance to good restaurants and convenient stores. Clean and comfortable accommodation for two. Easy check-in and check-out. Coin operated Washing machine and dryer are located outside the unit but within the building block, so we didn’t end up using them.

    This stylish, compact space (60m2) is ideally suited for 1-2 travellers. However, there is capacity to accommodate up to 4 people with one travel cot available for 1 infant. The travel cot (linen provided), one travel infant high chair & 2 safety gates (for the staircase) are all available for hire. Please request upon your initial enquiry. The upstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed and built-in wardrobe. The room down stairs has a double sofa bed (suitable for 1 adult or 2 children). In addition, a comfortable single temporary bed can be arranged. Please request if you require either. The sitting area upstairs (near the kitchen) is compact and consists of a two seater couch. Marcus bought some breakfast and snacks on the first day which was a really nice touch, and when we had some trouble with the bathroom light he came round straight away and sorted it. If you have walking difficulties I wouldn’t recommend as it is up 3 flight of stairs and no lift. Also if you don’t have a car it is about 20 min walk to Shenton park train station and Subiaco. Apart from these minor factors would highly recommend!

  • Stayed here for 3 weeks, everything was brilliant, quiet place all the time, pool never had more than 1 person using it, although the hot tub isn't really a hot tub.. Apartment was clean, bed was comfy, shower was lovely! Had all the kitchen cutlery and utensils, pots and pans etc.. They had cereal and milk and other bits for us to get started too. The bus to the city is a minute away and it's only $3, nearest beach Cottesloe is 2 buses but only $4.50. Walking distance to kings parks synergy area, the main part is a 45 minute walk but a great walk to do, bus is only $2. All round good experience, would recommend.

Rose was a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with (including having to unexpectedly change our dates around!). We'd definitely recommend it to those looking to be in Nedlands!

  • A lovely little place that's soo incredibly convenient for public transport, and right down the road from the UWA Dental School. Rose was lovely and very kind in assisting my mum with places to go during our visit, and how to get there with no car. The location was also quite central to most things, with it only being 20 minutes to get to both the CBD or Clairemont. There was also a cute little strip of shops and eateries within a 5 minute walk.
