Brand new historical renovation themed as the Poet's Library. 10-minute walk to Heinz Field.
HISTORY Our private studio apartment, nicknamed the "Poet's Library," will take you back in time to when The Hamilton was built in 1893 by Irishman William Hamilton and his wife, Mary. We themed it to be the Library to commemorate Irish poets of their time. William and Mary Hamilton emigrated from Ireland to Pittsburgh before the Civil War. Once settled, Mr. Hamilton manufactured coffins for the war, and over time his business became known as the Nation Casket Company. His excellent craftsmanship could be seen throughout the magnificent home, from the hand-crafted mantles to the winding staircase. Around the time of the home's construction, Allegheny City, where the North Side now rests, housed some of the wealthiest people in the country. Over time the wealth decreased, crippled by the Great Depression. Birgo Realty stepped into the space decades later with a plan to revitalize the Irishman's home to its past splendor. By complementing original features with modern innovations, Birgo Realty restored "The Hamilton" to honor Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton's vision. ☆ Featured in Manchester house tour two years and counting ☆ Historic Register LAYOUT AND AMENITIES - First-floor studio apartment - Brand new renovation, including kitchen and bathroom - Original woodworking from 1893 - Queen-sized bed - Full bathroom including hand soap, bathroom tissue, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, bath towels, hand towel, wash cloths, makeup cloths, etc. - Full kitchen including Keurig Compact, Folger's medium roast K-cups, non-dairy powder cream and sugar, stove, oven, microwave, fridge, spices, pots, pans, cookie sheet, cutting board, utensils, paper towels, Brita filter, etc. - Dining table - Living area complete with a Roku TV (cable TBA) chairs, a couch, coffee table, and games - Lounge (common room open to all guests and residents) Furnishings TBA - Building shared with long-term tenants PARKING - FREE street parking all around the building. WOW. There is no real way to describe the detail and architecture of this place. It was carriage home by millionaire’s row in the 1900s and is still a historic building in PGH. The architecture is truly amazing, not to mention the convenience today! You can walk to all the stadiums, casino, and countless bars, restaurants, and breweries! The T takes your right downtown for FREE and is less than a half mile walk.

  • El lugar es muy lindo y tiene muy buena ubicación, cerca de la estación del tren y el centro de la ciudad.

  • Beautiful building, safe location

    Monique2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Location is great, apartment is cute. During my stay there were a few issues with the cleanliness of the apartment (sticky counters and floors, other things here and there), Matthew did offer to send their cleaning service back. I opted instead just to clean up myself instead of going through the hassle. All in all, it’s a fine place and the hosts are easy to get in touch with. Would’ve been perfect if it had been cleaner.

    Alex2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Accurate description. Old home. I would probably stayed in a more lively area if I go back. The communication from Matthew was great. The only negative was that the cleaner wasn't finished at the time of our check in. Matthew let me know ten minutes before the check in time. Otherwise it was a nice stay.

    Abdul M2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a sweet place to stay. Clean and spacious. Close to shops and parks. Nice part of town. Would recommend for sure. Thanks guys.

    Renee2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Overall nice place. Needs a good cleaning. Difficult staircase. Great location. Close to everything you'll need. Great park with dog park and a lake two blocks away. Close to YMCA, Heinz Field, PNC Park and the riverfronts. If you're a biker, use the non-traffic bike lanes. For some reason Pitters don't like bikes.

    William2019-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and responsive host. Door code access made it easy for everyone to come and go. TV worked great, beds were clean and comfy, kitchen has all the basics. Nice touches like shampoo and snacks. Matthew was helpful in trying to accommodate an early check in and great about letting us bring our dog! Would definitely stay here again.

  • Beautiful room. Close to everything. Dennis was great. He was very accommodating. We came out for the Stanley cup parade and also brought our bikes. He let us keep them in the house overnight and during the parade. When we came back to get them he greeted us with cold waters. Cannot say enough about the room, location, and hospitality.

    John2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • This house is fantastic. Dennis makes sure you're well-oriented and ready to address needs as they arise. An easy 15-minute walk to PNC park, which was the reason I came through town. The suite is clean and roomy, the bathroom is way beyond what I expected. The house is right on a street with relatively consistent traffic, so if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend bringing some white noise. It did the trick for me. If the prices makes you hesitate, compare it to any decent downtown. Plus, the street parking is free. I'll be back if I return that way.

    Matt2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful Bed and breakfast. Will be returning.

    Matthew2019-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • The place was comfortable and the architecture in the home was beautiful. The bottled water was the perfect touch on a 90degree day. Even though we didn't use the air mattress it was a nice touch in case you need it.

    Dominique2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This b& b was exactly as you see pictured and more. You will cherish your time there and always remember this stay. The location is close to all you would want to do. The host is the most hospitable and friendly as you could wish for. The parking may be a challenge earlier in the day depending on the events during the morning, however if you are patient there will be plenty of front home parking available as the day progresses. The city has plenty to offer and this home is located in the perfect area close by. We would highly recommend to anyone. Great home and great host.

    Anita2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Overwhelmingly beautiful home! Dennis cares for his tenants impeccably w a coffee/breakfast bar each morning. The room was immaculate and bed very comfortable. I’ll be staying w Dennis whenever I come to town!

  • WOW! This place is beautiful, and the location is amazing, especially for Steelers games! Greg was awesome, helpful, and his home is superb; clean, comfortable, stylish. Will 100% recommend. Will try to stay there next time I go to a game, worth every dollar.

    Denisse2018-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cozy, modern spot within a fun, historic neighborhood. The place is perfect for a couple or even 3-4 close friends. The space was immaculate and very comfortable. Greg was always available when we had questions and gave us a lot of great tips of places within walking distance to check out. It’s easy access to downtown and all the sports stadiums but the neighborhood was still very quiet. We walked to the Warhol Museum and it took about 20 minutes. We loved all the historic architecture in the neighborhood and the local watering holes with great food and drinks. The next time we visit Pittsburgh, we’d definitely try to book Greg’s place first!

    Lynne2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! It's got a historic feel with a modern touch. The whole place was super clean and nice. The location is safe and very convenient, especially if you want to walk to either stadium or the casino. There's a nice park nearby to go for a walk or a run. Greg is a very thoughtful host. He was very quick to respond and accommodating. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Pittsburgh!

    Michael2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The electric shop is a beautiful space to unwind and relax and Greg is the perfect host. Every detail is taken care of from check in to check out. We will definitely be staying here again!

  • One of our favorite Airbnbs! Greg is a fantastic host. Excellent communicator and flexible. He provides an in-depth recommendations list which was a huge help...we tried several of the places he mentioned. Greg also left us some excellent wine, such a thoughtful extra touch. The Electric Shop is spotless! Very well maintained. Super cute design that is extremely efficient; no wasted space. The bathroom is big for a place of this size, with a huge walk-in shower. Everything at Greg’s place is top notch from the linens to the towels to the furnishings. The location is a big plus. Right in the heart of the Northside and walking distance to War Streets neighborhood and a huge park. Also walking distance to the stadiums. We would definitely stay here again. The Electric Shop added so much to our getaway weekend in Pittsburgh, so thankful we stayed here.

    Shannon2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot! Easy walking distance to stadiums!

    Joshua2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • You would be hard-pressed to find another Airbnb listing, hotel, or time-share with more attention to detail in Pittsburgh or beyond. Inside, all of the basics (and much more) are provided. The kitchen was stocked with all of the necessities and, with a quick shopping trip, you'll be able to prepare a meal. There is also a dishwasher, a full size washer, and full size dryer. We found the classic decor to be pleasing and well-maintained. The property is situated in a quiet Pittsburgh neighborhood and many attractions are within walking distance. Greg was very communicative and check-in was a breeze.

Wonderful roof deck! Lots to do , see, eat. Central location; walk to Downtown, stadiums, museums, parks, walking trails, Science Center, National Aviary, Children's Museum, breweries on this street. A real Victorian 22 room house and roof deck with a City-feel of skylines, up in the tree tops, sunsets over the Ohio Valley, and the moon! A second guest room with kitchenette in this house is available under the title "Pittsburgh's Fun North Shore"
My home is a townhouse with a roof deck near Allegheny Commons Park in National Register Historic District of Allegheny West; minutes to Downtown Pittsburgh by walking or driving, or to Allegheny General Hospital, Heinz Field, PNC Park, the River Heritage Trail for biking and walking. Minutes to the free Subway to Downtown, museums, stadiums. The room is a large second floor private guest room with three bathrooms with soaking tub, double bed, dresser, wooden shutters, refrigerator, microwave, desk. Includes Wi Fi , self-controlled heating and air conditioning, roof decks with views of the Park and the Pittsburgh City skyline. Built in 1870, the house had an alcohol still in the attic during Prohibition and a pistol shooting range in the basement. For early morning eating visit the Allegheny sandwich/breakfast shop next door! Nearby is the best Thai restaurant in the City, other cafes with IPO beers, Georgios Italian restaurant, and Peppi's sports submarine...as well as some fast-food places(Subway, Wendy's, McDonalds, and Taco Bell). Guests may use the washer and dryer and the two bicycles in summertime. The owner is a quiet guy who keeps to himself, a grad of Duquesne University. Jack is very interested in preservation of historic buildings, lives simply, plays racquetball, hikes and bikes, meditates and practices yoga. Nearby is the Andy Warhol Museum, National Aviary, Calvary church with its Tiffany windows, Mattress Factory Art Museum, Carnegie Science Center, Children's Museum, Rivers Casino, the Requin submarine on the Ohio River, the YMCA, PNC Park and Heinz Field. This location has easy access to all Interstates, the River walking/hiking trails, three neighborhoods of Victorian homes including the Monterrey Cafe, an Irish Cafe.
Allegheny West National Historic District is the name of this the smallest neighborhood in the City of Pittsburgh. Near to Heinz Field and PNC Park. There is a great variety of architecture. Gertrude Stein was born here. Andy Warhol's brother has a business here and the Warhol one-man-museum is a few blocks. Martha Graham and Mary Cassatt were born here and Stephen Foster lived here when his dad was the Mayor of Allegheny City. This is centrally located to many of the Interstates. Walk to the Downtown Pittsburgh in 20 minutes.
  • Very comfortable stay. Jack is very knowledgable about the city and his neighborhood. It was like I was talking with a historian. It's worth noting that Jack also has bikes available for use if that's your preferred way to get around (as it was mine!).

    Brandon2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jack is a fantastic host. He’s very knowledgeable about Pittsburgh’s north side and puts in the extra effort to give you a local’s perspective.

    Kevin2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Prime spot. Prime host. For a steelers game you cant get a better location with the type of hospitality jack offers. Great experience all around. Would definitely go back!

    Eric2017-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jack's place is great. Close to the stadiums. The room was awesome with plenty of space. He also was extremely helpful as I had problems with my flight and checked in later than expected. Totally recommend his place.

    Daniel2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jack's house is a wonderfully preserved, comfortable, clean and quiet historical building about a thirty minute walk from Downtown Pittsburgh. TL;DR: 10/10 would stay again The location is superb, situated within the leafy historic suburb of Allegheny. Attractions within walking distance include the Andy Warhol museum, the National Aviary and the Baseball stadium. I also encourage any visitor to check out the sandwich shop next door (come hungry!) and make time for walk in the parks. I was in town for a conference at the David Lawrence convention centre in downtown Pittsburgh. Jack's house is roughly a thirty minute walk or $10 Uber ride from said convention centre, and infinitely preferable to staying in the convention centre hotel (and cheaper!). I would recommend this option to anyone in town for a similar conference. The room was great - super comfortable bed, good AC, great view, plenty of privacy, nice bathroom (not en suite though) etc etc. There is also a fridge, microwave and kettle in the room, and access to a kitchen. Jack also thoughtfully provides certain essentials - snacks, water and wine, free of charge. Jack himself is a delightful host, friendly without being overbearing, and full of historical anecdotes about Allegheny and Pittsburgh in general.

    Daniel2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great overall stay! Seamless communication and nice room.

    Sean2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Thanks for the hospitality Jack!

    Mike2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jack's place is very accessible to the city, the sport complexes, the riverfront as well as the city of Pittsburgh itself. Jack provided maps and many insights to Pittsburgh as well as the North Side. We walked the streets at all hours of the day, we ate and drank in the locale taverns and eateries just steps away from Jack's front door. Museums and attractions abound nearly in any direction you turn. Go visit and stay at Jack's, he respects your privacy and values your patronage. You will not be disappointed, we were not.

  • Matthew’s place was absolutely gorgeous and in a beautiful, historic building. The TV had all of the streaming services hooked up, so it was perfect for winding down with my group. Professionally cleaned like a hotel stay. The walk in shower was a dream. 10/10 would highly recommend and hope to stay again as it was in walking distance of a lot of convenient and interesting places.

  • Location is great to get to games or if you want to check out the Deutchtown area. Two off street parking spots is good as well and was the sell for us. Was great for our 2 families to stay together, just wish it was a little cleaner and the trundle bed process to pull out each day was a little easier.

  • Lots of room with plenty of sleeping spaces for a big group. Convenient access to downtown Pittsburgh — everything was within a 10 minute Uber. Excellent communication from Matthew, including offering to return an item we accidentally left behind.

  • Outstanding 3rd floor flat with plenty of room to spread out. The two bathrooms were excellent, the many towels were clean and ready for all our guests. And the kitchen was well equipped to make breakfast or lunch. Great value near the heart of Pittsburgh.

  • Cate & Skip's place was wonderful. We were in town visiting the Children's Museum which was a quick walk down the road. Neighborhood was quiet at night but also had a number of restaurants nearby. Beds were super comfortable and keyless entry made check in a breeze.

  • I went to Pittsburgh for a guys weekend to watch baseball at PNC. It was a great value compared to other options near the ballpark. We walked down to the ballpark each day and either walked or took a short Uber back. Allegheny Sandwhich Shop (literally a few hundred feet away) was a great place to grab breakfast. Cate was quick to answer and respond when I called during check in with questions.

  • Great location! Easy communication before and during. Having a code for the front door is very nice. The house is lovely and the rooms are comfortable. The National Aviary is within walking distance and was really fun. Very good gift shops, so beware. Don't miss the back courtyard dining at Nicky's Thai Restaurant right around the corner. The inside is just a place with good food. Thw courtyard is special. The pineapple fried rice is so good!

    Clare2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, easy walk to Heinz field/North Shore area. Great restaurants in walking distance, short Uber ride to all of our destinations in the city. Place was easily accessible, plenty of space and nicely decorated. I will be definitely coming back for future home Steelers games.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Skip & Cate's place! It was a perfect location.... close to many great restaurants and also close to Heinz field and PNC park. We were able to walk everywhere. We highly recommend Carmi restaurant (just around the corner from the house) for their chicken and waffles... delicious!! The house is very nice as well and the bed is so comfortable!! The neighborhood is also very quiet at night. We look forward to another stay the next time we are in Pittsburgh!

    Kelly2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house was adorable, clean, and was a great place for us to stay!

    Mary2018-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location in the loveliest part of the north side of Pittsburgh. We were able to get downtown quickly, out to visit family easily and felt very safe and comfortable no matter what time of day it was. My son loved being up in the loft area and my dog enjoyed walks at the nearby park. Home was well appointed with everything we needed and as a bonus had terrific water pressure in the shower. It's a great run down to the Allegheny River walk and across the Clemente bridge to downtown. We visited the Children's Museum and got an occasional coffee from La Prima over at Allegheny Center. Highly recommend Nicky's and make sure to eat in the garden. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Pittsburgh’s Historical Manchester District will set the background to your stay in this modern unit. Feel the Pittsburgh love at Faulsey Flats your personal piece of Historic Pittsburgh.
Built in 1883 Located on Pittsburgh’s North Shore in Historic Manchester and minutes to Heinz Field, PNC Park, Stage AE, Rivers Casino and Allegheny General Hospital. The North Side is convenient to all major highways within seconds. The Pittsburgh metro Red and Blue lines end in Manchester and is a short 10 minute walk to the station from Faulsey Flats. This unit is full of light, high ceilings and modern & vintage furnishings. One dog allowed with prior notice and $50 a month pet fee.
Fast food joints just blocks away. Corner grocery one block down the street. There are many great restaurants on Western Ave just blocks from the location. Be sure to stop at The Modern Cafe, Peppi's and Benjamins!
  • Working out of town for several months can be stressful... Finding Fred's place made it a much more pleasurable experience. The apartment is tasteful, clean and well appointed, the building is beautiful and I loved the feel of historic Manchester. The neighborhood is quiet and always felt safe. Communication with Fred and Vivian was quick and easy. Would definitely book again if I were coming back to Pittsburgh for an extended amount of time!

    Emmanuelle2018-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The couch in the living room is actually a very uncomfortable futon. The internet is also very unreliable. The apartment was very cute and nice but was just not comfortable for someone who would spend a lot of time there or for someone who needs internet for school especially long term. Also outside of business hours it was hard to get in touch with someone at the managing agency. I had to call a locksmith to get into my apartment after I had locked my keys inside because I was told the company did not unlock doors during off hours if at all.

    Brooke2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • During my time in Pittsburgh, I had the chance to stay in two of Fred’s units for the past seven months. Both of which were very clean, comfortable and very much worth the price. Fred and his leasing agent were a pleasure to deal with and whenever I had an issue, it was easy to get in contact and the issue was resolved immediately. The area was awesome too! Close to some great food spots and the proximity to Downtown is perfect as well. If you’re new to Pittsburgh and you need a GREAT place to stay while you’re figuring things out, I 100% recommend Faulsey Flats.

  • Everything about Jacks house is exactly as described. We had a wonderful visit to Pittsburgh for the PITT / PSU game. Jacks place is only about 1 mile from Heinz field - convenient for walking with the record breaking crowd in town for the game! Location is in a very safe neighborhood which we would like to explore more in the future. We especially loved the roof top deck with the beautiful views . Jack was a great AirBnB host!

    Karen2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • The rooftop deck was amazing! Jack was so hospitable, easy-going, and very knowledgeable about the area. It was walking distance to bars, restaurants, the park, Andy Warhol Museum, The Mattress Factory, and Randyland. We would definitely stay there again!

Historic / Contemporary 1860's Home. Nearly 3,000 square feet to enjoy! Well-behaved dogs are welcomed. Please see the "Other Things to Know" section for dog guidelines.
Welcome! We will be very glad to host you and your pups, and will do whatever we can to make your stay a great experience. We do this to financially support the work of Agape Africa Fund, which works on behalf of the medical missionaries who serve at Bongolo Hospital in Gabon, Africa. About Our Home: The main level offers a contemporary open floor plan between the spacious living and dining rooms, and the modern kitchen. Original hardwood floors, tall windows, and floor-to-ceiling brick chimneys are contrasted by the modern furnishings. The kitchen has a large marble island with breakfast bar and lots of counter space. Everything that you need for cooking is here! A convenient half bath has been added on this level. 2nd floor: colorful media room with surround sound, short-throw projector for movies and online viewing (there is an Amazon Firestick) on a 120-inch full-wall screen (sorry, we have no regular TV's in any other room). The large master bedroom has a queen size bed and ensuite bathroom with double sinks, Corian countertop, and a luxurious walk-in shower. Also, there is a full hallway bathroom and 2nd-floor laundry. 3rd Floor: bedroom with a full-size, bathroom with a shower, and a large office. Not quite as "perfectly finished", but still very nice and comfortable! There is window air conditioning throughout our home and many of the rooms have ceiling fans so things stay quite comfortable most of the time! (No central A/C at this point). While our entire home is very comfortable and safe, there are details throughout to be eventually finished. It is a very long labor of love when you have an old house!
Located just across the Allegheny River from downtown Pittsburgh and a short walk up the hill from Heinz Field, this beautiful home is in 'Allegheny West', an Historic district full of beautiful homes and mansions, and is an up-and-coming restaurant and brew pub area.
  • Doug was a very gracious and thoughtful host. He contacted me the day before my husband and I were to due to check-in to see if we needed anything, had any questions and wanted to make sure we knew how to get into the home. The house.....LOVED it! Myself being an interior decorator and lover of anything old, we definitely appreciated all the character and charm the home had to offer. The location of the house is fantastic.

    Wendy & Shawn2018-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Doug has a beautiful home within the Northside of Pittsburgh. Check-in was very simple and Doug was kind enough to message me asking how everything was going so far and to help ensure we had our license plate registered to avoid getting a ticket. I highly recommend staying here.

    Karen2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • If anything, the pictures undersold how beautiful and spacious the place was. The original flooring lent the house a rustic charm, and the decor was obviously thoughtfully curated. There were little touches that made the place feel like home, like the tea/kettle and the puzzles. To top it off, the house was 15min or less away from everything we wanted to do in the city.

    Adrian2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Enchanted! One of my favorite Airbnb's to date. The place is spacious (private 3 story historical town house), has a theater room, a private patio yard in the back, and all the amenities to instantly feel at home in Pitsburgh. Note: street parking only (but street parking is close and easy). I hope to return soon, and stay for an extended time!

    Tobias2019-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with friends for Picklesburgh (on the Roberto Clemente bridge by PNC Park.) The location was perfect with PNC park and Heinz Field within walking distance. The house has amazing decorations and a ton of character. Everywhere was clean and the house had everything we needed for our stay. Doug was friendly and even checked in with us halfway through our stay to answer any questions we may have had. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Pittsburgh with friends or family, and I would definitely return myself.

    Jenn2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful and charming. I love the mix of old and new! Wonderful location with lots of shops, bars, restaurants to walk to.

    Tracy2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This home is spacious, immaculate, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The location was perfect for other family members to meet up and then Uber to our destinations all weekend. Parking on street was not a problem while there. Several decent eateries within walking distance. Area was quiet and felt safe. Doug was wonderful to interact with. Definitely a great place to stay while touring around Pittsburgh. My entire family are now considering Doug's place for future visits:0

Beautiful 1500 sq ft loft apartment located in a old flashlight factory in the historic northside neighborhood. Walking distance to both the stadiums, night life, casino, and museums! Open floor plan with original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls. Artistic Interior design inspired by recycle and reuse materials. Huge state of the art kitchen. Beautiful bathroom with Italian marble and walk in shower. Complementary Prosecco and many other amenities included.
If you have ever wondered what loft living in a real warehouse would be like this is the space for you! Original hardwood floors and brick walls make the perfect backdrop for a recycled and reused esthetic. That topped with the owners creative vision to custom make the chandelier, the coffee table, and the unique sink and tub interpretation is a must see to believe.
Walking, walking, walking! If you love to walk to places without the hassle of parking a car this is the place. We choose this neighborhood for just that reason. We wanted to walk to restaurants, bars, and cultural events. Plus, the close proximity to downtown, which you can walk to, is a bonus to a beautiful, historic, neighborhood with a phenomenal park 2 blocks from the loft.
  • The only way to do Pittsburgh! The pictures do not do this loft justice- Elaine's place was INCREDIBLE! Big and spacious and Elaine was a wonderful host that stayed in communication for any of my needs. I was so glad I stayed here rather than a traditional hotel. Next time I come to Pittsburgh, I'll definitely be staying here again! Thanks for being so wonderful Elaine :)

Stay in my BEAUTIFUL Victorian mansion filled with lovely antiques. This is a 2 Bedroom Suite divided by a door adjoining the rooms with a Kitchenette and Standalone Private Bath, located on the 3rd floor. The Rooms are fully furnished with bedding, linens, pillows, towels, hangers, tissue, and facial/hand wipes. The Shampoo, Conditioner and Soft Soap are in the Bathtub. When packing, don’t worry about finding little bottles to fill/buy or carrying the full size, I have them for your convenience. I also have items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, razors, etc.). These are available upon request, just ask. There’s also a blow dryer, flat and curling irons, and a set of hot rollers (lol) available upon request. A 7-11 is located cat-a-corner from my house (100 feet) if you need anything else. It’s open 24/7. The Iron and Ironing board are behind the door located on the second floor dining room. You may fill the Iron in the kitchen sink, empty it when finished and leave it on the kitchen counter. The iron is cordless. Keep it in the cradle when adjusting your garment so it stays at the desired temperature. You may help yourself to the iron and board or message me and I’ll set it up for you in the kitchen. Either way is fine. The Bed in the room with The Kitchenette, is a “Victorian Queen” in size. It’s smaller than a traditional Queen but larger than Full. It’s listed as a Queen Bed since there’s no selection for a “Victorian Queen”. Victorian Queens are 5 inches shorter and 6 inches narrower. The room without the kitchenette has a reproduction of a Victorian Queen but is the size of a Traditional Queen Bed. The rooms have Fireplaces but the back bedrooms fireplace is blocked off and the front bedrooms fireplaces gas is turned off. Anyone that lives in the midwest and east coast, know we suffered unusual high winds this winter which caused damage to my fireplaces. So I turned off the gas to all fireplaces at the source for safety reasons. My house doesn't have central air so there are radiators for heat and window air conditioners for cold in the summer. Each morning, I provide a continental breakfast which includes a variety of items. If you want coffee or tea sooner, just hit the start button on the CoffeeMachine and or push up the button on the Tea maker and help yourself. I prepare the Coffee and water the night before so it’s ready to go at the push of a button. The Non-perishable items are always available in the dining room. All rooms are Clean, decorated with antiques or reproductions, have the original hardwood floors (there’s carpet in 2 areas where I couldn’t restore the hardwoods), crown molding, some have Wainscoting, some with fireplaces, and some rooms have the original gas lamps that were converted to electric. I originally bought my house to run as a full service B&B with all the amenities of including gourmet breakfast, daily room cleaning, nightly bed turn down (yes, the chocolate on your pillow) and a daily Happy Hour with wine, cheese and crackers served in the parlor. I did open and run my full service B&B which turned out to be too much work for an older single woman. After a year, I decided to try the Airbnb model. I stayed at a couple before I booked my first guest. I’ve found that I have a place that’s in between your average B&B and an average Airbnb listing. The Airbnb concept is two fold: 1. Provide people with additional income renting those guest rooms that friends or family stay in every few years. 2. Provide a more affordable means of lodging. Airbnb ranges from things such as tents and treehouses priced around $15 a night in rural area’s all the way to beautiful 4 story Victorian mansions providing 95% of the amenities that 5 Star Hotels provide. So, although the business model is the same in each case, it provides a wide variety to Customers (guests) looking for something that fits their needs, budget and lifestyle. My guests are immediately immersed into the ambiance of a beautiful old Victorian era home and neighborhood with that historical value that only a 143 year old home may provide. The guests reap most of a B&B benefits without paying the price that other B&B’s in the cities charge. Many times less than 1/4 what people will pay in designated B&B’s, Hotels or Motels. It’s really good when you can get a 5 Star experience paying 2-3 star motel prices. The big advantage more than the historical beauty and service is the location. Location, location, location! That’s what is usually the most important thing. I'm the closest Airbnb, B&B, Motel or Hotel to Heinz Field. I'm also centrally located to all areas and events in the city of Pittsburgh. I’m only blocks from everything once you jump on the T (The Pittsburgh Light Rail) that’s a few blocks from my house, free and will take you within blocks to most city attractions, events and popular area’s. You’ll enjoy my home and in particular this suite if you have a need for 2 rooms. Just remember to bring things to drink and snacks that would normally need refrigeration but you can’t get that in most places you stay but with the kitchenette, you have that along with a microwave. The privacy, views and tranquility is what you’ll find with this suite in the city atmosphere. I HAVE A TOTAL OF 5 LISTINGS IN MY HOME: Links to the other 4 rooms are below. Copy and paste the URL to display the each listing. ROOM 1 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15370037?s=51 ROOM 2 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/183298?s=51 ROOM 3 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/14157821?s=51 ROOM 5 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/14572449?s=51 ———————$$$$$$$$$ This room is located on the entire (what I call floor 3 1/2. There is a 3rd floor at the top of the 3rd flight of stairs, currently not in use. This suite is up another flight of stairs which consists of 6 steps to floor, 3 1/2). One Room in the Suite is ROOM 4, it’s in the front of the house and has a view of Mt. Washington and Downtown Pittsburgh (gorgeous!). Since you’re approximately 60 feet from the ground floor, it stays rather quiet even though the street gets busy at times during the day, events, Football and Baseball games. The other Room in the suite is called ROOM 3 and faces the back courtyard. Behind my house is an historic church that has one of the largest collections of Tiffany glass in the world. It's listed as an historical landmark and you may want to see if the doors are open. If not, walk around the grounds and check out the beautiful exterior that contains much detail, you’ll see more and more craftsmanship and architectural nuisance’s each time you look at it. I’ve lived here almost 8 years and every now and then, I’ll notice something I never saw before, it’s an amazing church. That in itself is an awesome experience. The Private bathroom is just down the hall on Floor 3 through the empty room. Approximately 20 feet from each door in the suite. Since there’s no one on the 3rd floor, it’s an entirely private 3 and 3 1/2 floors, the rooms are together oddly in this 143 year old house. It’s quiet during the day and night for a house in the city but the rooms are up high and the brick walls are thick. You will hear noise but it’s not like you would expect. This suite is great for Family’s, two couples, a few friends, etc. perfect to visit Pittsburgh and have an entire 3rd floor suite with its own bath and small kitchenette. As a reminder, I supply all bedding and towels. Just bring yourself, suitcase and toiletries. I even have toiletries if you forget them. I have a long list of amenities so don’t worry if you forget or need something. If all else fails, there’s a 7-11 diagonally from my house, approximately 60 yards on the opposite side of th
The house is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Pittsburgh. Also known for the original millionaires of Pittsburgh. My home is 143 years old. The neighborhood has all Victorian and row homes built in the 1830's to 1900. Rich in history and culture. The neighborhood is quiet in the evening and very safe. There's a mixture of businesses, family homes, and apartments. The owner of the Steelers lives one block from my house. Art Rooney Sr. Lived in the neighborhood most of his adult life. I have a cat named Sam. He's a big old guy. 30 pounds and 15 years old. Sam is very friendly and welcomes all my guests when he's out of my room. I recently rescued a baby kitten that's 14 weeks old as of 10-20-16. He's very shy and doesn't go near people. Sam is allowed to roam freely throughout the house, so if you don't want Sam in your room, make sure to close the door. Please make sure NOT to leave doors to the outside open, Sam's an escape artist and will run out when he gets the chance. I'm sure the baby kitten will try the same, especially if he follows Sam. Both cats are indoor only cats. I usually don't let the kitten out of my room when I have many guests. He is a terror and gets into everything. The kittens name is Kingdom. He's getting bigger and smarter and sometimes will escape from my room. If you see him, please let me know. He has no problem venturing every floor in the house, but will run if he sees someone he doesn't know, which is everyone except me. Sam usually stays with me or flops down in one location unless he's getting attention from a guest. Sometimes Sam will take a particular liking to certain guests and follow them to their room. If allowed, he'd stay until they fall asleep, once he knows they're safe, go back down to my room. I do keep my door locked when it's bedtime and have both cats with me. Sam has fallen asleep with a few of my guests. Most recently a young girl. The father left the door ajar as he was sitting on the porch. The little girl remembered that I said Sam will usually leave the room once the guests fall asleep and he knows they're OK. She pretended to fall asleep, then she really did. Her dad found them both fast asleep when he went back to the room. He texted me asking if I was looking for Sam, I was. Sam heard him come in, got up from the bed and headed back to my room. They sleep in the room with me and know when it's bedtime, usually. For those that may have allergies, my house is all hardwood floors which I keep very clean. The cats have never bothered anyone with allergies. They may bother you if Sam decides to sleep with you.
  • Denise is the best host you could ever want! Super communicative and thoughtful and always thinking of ways to make your stay better. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

  • A historic home three blocks from Heinz field. You will not be disappointed staying here and enjoying the warmth of your host Denise. We were there for one night to visit the city and take in a Steelers game. Could not have been a better experience.

    Fred2018-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying in Denise's home, we had plenty of privacy and anything we needed was already anticipated.

    Dennis2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Denise's hospitality and stunning Victorian home blew us away. This was my first time using airbnb and Denise had been very hospitable to us. I highly recommend staying here as both PNC and Heinz field are extremely close in proximity to the home. Again, what an amazing experience!

    Jonathan2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Denise was great! Beautiful, clean home, friendly atmosphere , close to everything we wanted and needed. Highly recommend staying in her home if you are coming to the area!

  • Denise was a wonderful host. She was very friendly and helpful. The home is beautiful and immaculate. Our room was comfortable and the location was perfect for our event at Heinz field.

  • Denise was a wonderful hostess. While we weren't able to interact much during our brief stay, we thoroughly appreciated her tips on local food, cleanliness of the accommodations and friendliness. Would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you want to be close to Heinz field...can't beat a short walk!

    Cynthia2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Headed to Pittsburg for the Oklahoma State University vs Pitt football game a few weeks ago. Denise's place was the perfect place to stay, not only for the location, but she was an amazing host. Denise went out of her way to make sure that my brother and I felt welcome in her home, including just hanging out with us in the parlor. Denise is very responsive and her place is immaculate, perfect for an OCD person like myself. Loved staying at Denise's home and I will definitely stay there in the future when my travels take me to Pittsburgh. Thanks for everything Denise.

Beautiful 1500 sq ft loft apartment. Located in historic north side. Minutes from both the stadiums, night life, casino, and museums! Best suited for 2 but can accommodate 4. Open floor plan. Hard wood floors. Exposed brick. Huge state of the art kitchen. Beautifully executed bathroom with a walk in shower and massive soaking tub. If the bathtub isn't enough for you there is a hot tub located in the light well 1 floor down from the loft. Complementary robes for your use while staying with us.
  • Unique space. Very beautiful. Extremely loud and not all that private.

    Megan2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Spectacular! So, I'm a local and I've been waiting (im)patiently for this space to become available for rental, and when it did I JUMPED! The details in this space are out of this world. Elaine has such impeccably eclectic taste and it could take you days to really take in all of the art and details. You can really get an experience when you stay here. It's just so incredibly beautiful, interesting and unique. It was everything I wanted it to be and more! The open layout is a dream, the natural light un-ending, and the warmth and comfort is spot on. Elaine's space is also super close to everything you could want in Pittsburgh. Within walking distance are awesome restaurants, the stadiums, museums and the neighborhood of the North Side is a true gem in itself. Right across any bridge into the city opens you up to such culture-rich experience as well. Also--Elaine and her husband Mitchell were very quick to respond and so courteous with welcoming us into the space, having a bottle of Prosecco chilling for us as well as a guide to what was going on locally during the time we were staying. We didn't get a chance to take a dip in the hot tub but it looked wonderful and the outdoor patio/courtyard, which is private due to being closed in by all of the sides of the building. I am an Airbnb junkie and I simply CANNOT recommend this space enough!!

Newly renovated, artfully-appointed, spacious two-story, two bedroom apartment (1000+ sq. feet) located in Pittsburgh's North Side, one of the most architecturally rich and centrally-located neighborhoods in the city. Within a short walking distance to downtown, Heinz Field, PNC Park, Stage AE, The Warhol Museum, The National Aviary, local restaurants, and more (all within a 10-15 minute walk or less). Premium cable, high speed WiFi, & Bluetooth speaker included. Plus, a free parking pass!
Our two-story, two-bedroom apartment is located in Allegheny West, on Pittsburgh's Northside. Officially the smallest neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Allegheny West is home to 19th century architecture characteristic of the gilded industrial era. Originally named Allegheny City, the neighborhood was considered the gold coast of the region, and stood among the wealthiest in the world before annexation by Pittsburgh in 1907. Built in the 1870s, our apartment is part of a historic row house district. Many of the original floor beams, as well as exposed brick, were preserved during the renovation. Ceilings were restored to a 12 foot height throughout the living room and kitchen, while lofted ceilings were constructed in the bedrooms. The neighborhood is home to a mix of eclectic small businesses and historic sites, including City of Asylum bookstore and performance venue, local restaurants and charming bars, craft breweries, coffee shops, art museums, RandyLand, and historic sites, such as the birthplace of writer and poet Gertrude Stein on Beech Street. Nearby is Allegheny Commons, a beautiful and tranquil city park with tennis courts, and boasts a locally famous popcorn and snowball stand (seasonal). We hope you enjoy the setting as much as we do!
Metered parking is available directly in front of our building. Free guest permit parking available on street behind the apartment (we provide a guest parking permit free of charge). Our parking permit works great for Steelers game day, Pirates games, and stadium events (including concerts). We are located within a short distance of Heinz Field, so close that the parking lot across the street is used for fans and charges $45-65 to park on game day, making the free parking parking pass that is included in this rental a huge perk!
  • Great spot and awesome apartment - we had everything we needed and more. Easy check-in and out. They even provided coffee which was much needed after all the travel. Even more beautiful in-person, the hosts really made sure everything was perfect. Thanks again guys!

    Steph2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem. The reality exceeds the photos. Beds are comfortable, shower is large and water pressure is strong. Most noticeably the design is clean, modern and elegant. Paris of the Alleghenies is apt. The neighborhood is charming and quiet but the Modern Cafe and Nicky's Thai are steps away. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

    Will2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • I could not have had a better experience staying in this fantastic Townhome! From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and right at home... I genuinely believe they could and should charge more for the stay and I would gladly pay it. Heinz field is a 10 minute walk, PNC Park 15 minute walk, I walked over the bridge, downtown and back and loved it! There is a bike rental station 1 block from the house which came in handy as well. I would come back to Pittsburgh just to be able to stay in this house again. Thank you for doing it the right way and helping me have an unforgettable weekend!!

    Jacob2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Exactly what I needed for my first trip to PNC park.

    David2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This space was exactly as pictured, perhaps even more beautiful. I was in town for a conference with a colleague and this provided a great break from the hustle and bustle of the day. I loved the record player and record selection to listen to while relaxing at night. Also, there are a few great restaurants in walking distance. Highly recommend!!

  • Jeb and Alissa's space is comfortable, gorgeous, and convenient. My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Jessica2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jeb & Alissa's place is about as perfect as it gets. Artfully composed & designed, comfortable, spotless, and minutes from most museums. Have a question or need a suggestion, and they reply with ease. Quiet & safe neighborhood as well, right next to a park. Couldn't have been better!

    Wendy2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Jeb + Alissa's, and it was just as wonderful as the first (if not better because of the nicer weather!). It's such a bright and beautiful space that's been immaculate both times, and with all the amenities we'd need. We walked down to Nicky's both nights for dinner (again!), and the weather was so beautiful that we were able to walk down to Adda Coffee + Tea House about a block down the street for amazing lattes and chocolate, and wandered around the neighborhood and park a little bit, which were both so charming and lovely. I didn't think I could enjoy the space any more, but in spring when it's warm enough to enjoy the neighborhood too, it becomes even better. Wonderful location, super easy to get around, safe, clean, comfortable, cozy, stylish, and great communication from Jeb + Alissa. Will definitely be back again!

Take a step into history! There is no real way to describe the detail, architecture, and location of this place. It was carriage home by millionaire’s row in the 1900s and is still a historic building in PGH. The architecture is truly amazing, not to mention the convenience today! You can walk to all the stadiums, casino, and countless bars, restaurants, and breweries! The T takes your right downtown for FREE and is less than a half-mile walk.
Perfect for all travelers. So much character it is truly beautiful. We provide all the amenities you will need for your stay like Wifi, linens, towels, soaps, shampoos and more! We want you to feel at home. Your comfort is our mission

  • This apartment is conveniently located, right near a park that our dog enjoyed and within easy walking distance of the river, the Mattress Factory, and other fun attractions. Matthew and his team were highly communicative throughout the process. We were one of the first visitors to this unit so there were a few finishing touches they were still putting on the apartment, but overall it's a very nice space. One note is that they were still in the process of getting a parking permit for this unit, so we didn't have permission to park on this block, but we were able to find free parking just a couple blocks away pretty easily.

  • Great location in a very safe neighborhood. The house has been updated and had all the amenities we needed. Great for a weekend trip with friends. Matt always responded quickly with any questions I had and even helped me with parking. There was free street parking a block away. Great place if you are going for a Steelers game. Very close to the stadium. I recommend highly! Thank you!!

  • Amazingly beautiful, elegant, historic design; great amenities; gracious and helpful host; nice location at Pittsburgh's North Shore--you can't go wrong here! Dennis was warm, communicative, and gave us local tips. We walked through the park to go to the Aviary (5 mins.) and the Warhol museum (18 mins). We walked further to Downtown but taking a cab/Uber/Lyft is also quite convenient. The entire place is magnificently restored from its historic glory. Room has good amenities, including a nice full bath, a fridge, microwave, TV, and fireplace, not to mention the nice touches here and there.

    Charisse2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • I opted to stay at an Airbnb rather than a hotel this go round for a Steelers game, and I am so glad I did. It’s 10-12 minute walk from the stadium, and the area is well lit at night. Dennis is very thoughtful in the planning of your stay. Pillows, blankets, even shower soap was available. Downstairs there is a nice snacking area with beverage. I highly recommend staying here and I am sure I will again!

    Brett2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis' air BnB is where you will find fantastic hospitality and beautifully appointed Victorian rooms with well thought-out amenities. He has overlooked nothing. It is across from the beautiful park on the North Side of Pittsburgh and close to so many things to see and do! Dennis is very accommodating and friendly and you will immediately feel comfortable, at ease and "at home" in his BnB. You will not be disappointed with a stay here!

This queen suite has a private entrance off the veranda can also be accessed through the cold kitchen. It is set up like a townhouse with the living room on the second floor and the bedroom and bath on the third (my one guest room with a shower only, no tub). These old servants stairs could be a challenge for someone with mobility issues.

This Victorian brownstone is on one of Pittsburgh's prettiest streets. A comfortable, updated house that is good for a group of friends or family to enjoy while they explore Pittsburgh. We stock the house with all of the things you need for your stay. We have been listed since 2016 and believe we offer nice place to stay for folks touring the downtown area. We try to be competitive so we do charge extra for additional guests. Please be honest. No smoking and pets ok with prior approval.
This 1871 brownstone is located in the historic district of Allegheny West. We are across Beech Ave from Calvary UMC church. This is a walking neighborhood where access to downtown is simple and quick. We take pride in offering comfortable beds with premium linens and pillows that you would expect from a bed and breakfast. This house has central heating and air conditioning so you will be comfortable during your stay. There are 4 main bedrooms and we have another room that is available for larger parties.
Listed on the National Registry of Historic Neighborhoods. Largely Victorian in composition. Italianate, Second Empire and Neo-Gothic brownstones line Beech Ave.
  • Choose this house! If you're in Pittsburgh to tour the city, go to a game at one of the stadiums, or simply enjoy some peace and quiet in an incredible historic house...you will not be sorry. Not a detail is missed (it's immaculate/full of all the accomodations you could need/super easy check-in and check-out/I could go on....), the neighborhood is safe, walk-able, and the neighbors are so friendly!

  • Clayton was a nice host for providing such a lovely place. I haven't discovered the beautiful north shore yet but his house was located in the heart of it. Enough room for big family and you will enjoy all the convenience that he provides. Highly recommended!

  • What an exceptional experience! The house is positively delightful, the location is fantastic, the price reasonable, and the house rules fair and none too strict. Claymont left the kitchen fairly well provisioned, and he's quite the likeable fellow. An awesome Pittsburgh listing!

  • Clayton was a great host, and the house was beautiful. He gave us a lot of great recommendations for things to do and see. Plenty of space for my family, and loved the charming neighborhood. Would highly recommend!

  • Clayton's house is absolutely perfect. I've stayed in a number of AirBnB's over the years in the Pittsburgh area, and this has by far been the best. It's close to everything, and removed enough to feel like an oasis. Really lovely space, with comfortable sleeping for a good number of people - great group stay! Clayton is a great host - super communicative, organized and easy to deal with. Recommend x1000000
